Showstopper! Man, DX11 is a total Showstopper. The host pricing is too high for any server that is DX11 cappable. Come on ED, is it serious? Can't you programmers make a simple dedicated server? So guys. Is there a way without DX11? Any workaround? Even supprresing all video rendering it crashed on a DX10 computer...

No, it's installed on a RAID 5 system, btw the data I/O seems fine. Sure thing, i'll do this soon as can! I'll post logs too. Also, i realised that when you re-enter ME after testing a mission, it loads a corrupted mission, deleted units reapearing, units disappearing, it's like the mission has returned to the last state before savin.. And if you don't realize this and save again, you'll screw everything. So, if i test a mission, exit, and have the patience to wait, the mission will not be the same. Even if i open it again via "Open File", some strange behaviors will occur, like when clicking, old units will reappear on zone of clicks. -
After Fly everytime, all actions use to take long time to complete. But since today's update, seems that it's taking i'd say 4x more times. I loaded a simple mission to land, only me and the airport, no more units. Landed, then it took at least 3 minutes to be possible to use the editor again. In editor, i clicked on Exit and took more 3 minutes to gt back to main menu. On Game, when click to View buttons assigments it takes at least 30 seconds to open window, and it freaks everything online because once i clicked on "Buttons Settings", game freezes till buttons appears. My system is at least 2x more more than cappable to run DCS, but it's getting more and more hard to play, since those freezing are happening more and more. It's even faster, if when mission finishes, click on Taskmanager and kill DCS process and open again. Also, Private Bytes on Taskmanager shows Always a value greater than 5Gb being used by DSC, and memory, sometimes reaching 20Gb. It's a memory leak for sure, and a long time is being a PITA, but today is almos unplayable

Also, i'd like to add, when searching trough TWS some players aren't aware i'm there. I'm not sure, but TWS doesn't ring enemy RWR everytime, don't know what are the parameters for it, but seems to be a "Silent radar", maybe in aspect, altitude.. I'll do some tests with friends online and try to to discover the most silent approach using TWS.

It's great to finally understand things, i read the manual and wasn't clear, because speciffic doubts like those up there. I use to Fly A10C and bombers and i do a Good job there, once i gived up from fighters because i was never able to kill someone. After some hours of training using resources from here, and from some other posts (sneaking / Correct Employment of CMS) and others like this BVR Tatics (In Portuguese), yesterday, in all these years playing DCS i got my fisrt positive Kill/death ratio, (4/1) to be exact XD. Man!! I guess i never landed a plane after enter a Air-To-Air conflict (most cases been killed, or just out of juice). Thank you all a lot! And when you see a player called "Robson" or "Votri" out there on servers, say for yourself "I trained that guy"... A Nice day!

Woooooowwwww Thank you all for replyes! Yea, i know HOJ and Maddogs aren't a resource to rely on, but, i want to be ready for every situation, and train for it. HOJ: So... Yes, as i thougth, i should guestimate the target range for launch, since I use to play without any outside camera or F10 helpers and sometimes without any friendlyes plane around. No pain, no gain, eh? Well, i still not sure about: So if i'm designating a target, isn't am i firing my radar on it? Or in HOJ mode radar just doesn't emits? If not it will be more stealthly, isn't? MADDOGS Tends to be some way, stealth too, because i didn't emit any directed radar, isn't? And... I forget to post on original question: TWS = Does the enemy knows when i'm searching and/or locking him? I already have been shoot by players who launched 120s that triggered my TEWS only when they were very close to me, i personally don't know how to promote those shots.. Is it relationed with HOJ, Maddog or TWS?

I read once that when you got HOJ on hud (Home on Jam) you can use the enemy emission to make my missile home on him. How exactly it works? And why i'd use this? Does this technic works on Russian planes too? If some one could provide a step by step (Best radar mode, range, missile that works with it etc...) I'm my comprehension: To get HOJ you should use your radar, if you're using radar, why would you bother in use enemy source as homing? Also, someone once said here that is possible to use AIMs as Maddog (or Pitbulls) but never worked to me, no matter how close enemy is, launching without lock missile doesn't search and engage by itself. So again, if someone could provide a short step by step i'd appreciate. Thanks.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Well i'm a aware of this lots of crash in a day and to me happens when blows up memory size. My Personal computer Has 32G ram and DCS manage to use it all, then game crashes (not all times). I guess we have a memory leak or something like that. Also, i would like to know, do i will need an OFFBOARD GPU? Or just DX11 Compatible? Because, the servers they have here in Brazil doesn't have ofboard GPUs...

FlightControl, AMAZING WORK! I've read lots of documentations and tested lots of missions from MOOSE and seems fantastic, plus, i subscribed your yt channel. I din't managed yet how to clearly work with moose, but it's a matter of time, there's too many options and scripts that a i get a little confused. (I'm not LUA fammiliar yet)... So, i would like to have some light if possible. I'm trying to keep planes (groups) in the air patrolling all the time. So, when it crashes or landing it should respawn (in a couple of minutes), to keep skyes populated 24/7. I used some parts of codes and did the Following: The code above worked, but they first spawn at same time, i would like to be able to spanw they in a randon period let's say inside 5 minutes, to make the encounters more aleatory, but i didn't managed to change this behavior.

Hello; I'm hiring a server to keep a 24/7 mission running here on Americas (Mainly south america). I've been reading lots of posts and due the constant DCS updates and changes, the requeriments information seems to be ambiguous. My mission will be A-A and A-G, probably 32 players max. First of all, i would like to know, what exactly i would need in therms of Hardware, they have lots of rigs to offer and i'm not sure where to fit DCS. They asked me things like: How much Ram? How much vCPUs? How much Traffic? Does the Server Need DirectX? Wich version? Thank you in advance.

Come on ED!! I spent lots of time training to make an 10 minutes Airshow demonstration with lots of close calls and low passes to feed my youtube's channel to only discover that tracks are broken? Well i don't know what's happening out there, but you should consider stop releasing modules and start to fix bugs. Every update a new surprise... :(

Thank you guys, sorry for the long time to answer back...... Hey! Nice one! But unfortanelly it doesn't work... Says that my mission was created with a newer version of editor. I still have the option to continue anyway, but when i try to run mission, it gets stuck on loading screen... And thats a pity because i've read all documentation about DAWS and it is exactly what i want... yea.. i was thinking something about that... The problem is that i can't output flag values... I even had left a single armoured vehicle from both coalitions in each airport with "Late activation" checked, so i just have to set it to active to get the aiport to desired coalition. I already created a flag for each Airdrome, for example: Flag 1 "Gudata", it would work as follows: if flag 1 = 1 then Blue, if flag 1 = 2 then Red, if Flag 1 = 0 then "no coalition"

Well, maybe mission scripters or someone else could provide me some help, and i think it might be usefull for everyone running online servers or just, wanting to keep a mission progress going. I have a huge MP mission where both coalitions can transport troops (thanks ctld) and takeover Airdromes, but everytime i shutdown my server, mission restarts and both teams have to work all again... so i was thinking: Maybe there is a way to set something like this by using the trigger editor and MIST or LUA togheter, something like this: Switched Condition > Coalition Has Airdrome ("Airdrome Name","Coalition name") Then Do Script / Do Script File (write to a simple TXT file ) : Coalition_Has_Aidrome ("Airdrome", "Coalition") Then, when mission restarts, it would have a script to check this file, read and set proper coalition airdromes... This would be easy by spawning an armoured unit over the airport from the coalition. The problem is, i don't know how to read and write strings to/from a file by using Mist or Lua. So.. can someone help me on this? Thanks in advance.

Wow! I didn't knew about it, i just have read MOOSE modules's index :book: and it has a lot of usefull things there... I use MIST for a long time, but it has some BUGs and limitations, Can u please, post some tutorial or video so i could get started? TY

Look for DMZ on router config and attrib your internal IP to it, then go to your lan card/network settings and make your internal IP as static, i'm not fully sure, but it might do the job, keep in mind all your ports be open... (My one are and in 4 years nothing happened to my computer)

Hmmmm... So, to prevent units from appears on ABRIS should i set'em all as HIDDEN Or it's related to the "Fog of War"? AH, saw you video flying to show you new sound! LOUD!!! But the "star of show" was the way you handled that KA-50! Amazing to see how that thing could be versatile and deadLY... I guess my KA has a problem, it doesn't fly like that Thank you 4 fast answer! Cool! I made the steps and get a blink square on ABRIS, "slaved" Shkval with "O" and TADA! "Looking" very close to target! Ahahah! I'm pretty sure... Tk... .............. 1 - I had a strange behavior today (not sure if really is a problem) but happened that the "Auto Turn on Target" when on, it puts target almost at my 11, outside the Gun engagement square, and was painfull to fight against rudders LOL... Is it normal? Something i did wrong or missed? 2 - Collective Break (F key), i didn't noticed any behavior change, on manual it isn't much clear... 3 - Sometimes, HOVER, don't prevent plane to keep moving, i do my best triming to stop then active Hover and plane starts to "roll" (~10k/h) in a randon direction... Manual says that Hover would stop, keep and even bank or pitch to the helicopter to bring it back to it's initial hover pos. (I alredysaw that happening), but in most cases, it just wander around freely, like right now, while i'm typing, my sim is runing and KA-50 is hovering forward at 3km/h hahaha. Oh Gosh!! Forgive me for all this text guys! But i'm kinda anxious to at least have a "good flight day" lol...
