  1. I'm ashamed to admit it but I didn't realize I could just buy the switches outright. I figured I would have to pay $200 a switch for a honeywell. And a complete package with all the switches necessary would be fantastic.
  2. Oh wow, your absolutely right! Thanks DM, you saved me loads of time. Can you please give me a quote for a complete set? Also, do you know if you will be offering switch tops again?
  3. Ya, I saw the shop. I was trying to figure out how many of each I would need to completely populate a cockpit, assuming Im making most every componant from scratch. Lynx is making full panels so Im considering subtracting what he is offering from the list of knobs I would need. I know his panels are not 1:1 though but it may be more cost effective to go this route.
  4. Looks great DM
  5. Ya photobucket stock plummeted for sure. Hey Yogi, are you any closer to releasing a mounting system for your new UH-1 hardware coming out?
  6. That looks great Yogi! I like how you left the box open to see the mechanical actuation. Is this the same method you plan to use on your mounting system or something completely different?
  7. Lets take bets on how long it takes for their stocks (if traded openly) to depreciate by a factor of 2. What a stupid business decision...
  8. Dibs on your platform and chair! Haha. That cyclic covers looks really good Yogi, it near matches your chair color and IIRC you said orange was your favorite color.
  9. I think I'd like the leather boot. It just looks so natural.
  10. Yogi is developing a mounting system. I know you already have a pit but it's something to consider.
  11. Hi Yogi, welcome back! Thats great news. I know I speak for everyone when I say, we are all glad to hear from you and eagerly anticipate what you come up with :) .
  12. Ditto on that question ^. Did you get the new Leo boards too?
  13. My only concern is, what if dm does make whole components at some point in the future, would I be able to purchase it without the knobs or ship them back. It would be easier to get a complete working component already put together... But those knobs do look very nice.
  14. Thanks Hans, I really appreciate it :)
  15. Not yet, no. I am one of those that will be buying everything all at once and I am waiting for him to release his all in one chair mounting system so I have something to mount the hardware to.
  16. Hey dm, do you happen to recall how much you sold a complete set for? Also, does a complete set comprise of all knobs, dials, etc needed?
  17. As I understand it, much of his time is spent fixing and solving problems created by a bad exemployee. He is having to redo a lot of work and come up with new solutions to do the work properly. I too, received an email two weeks ago so it does seem like he is working on everything.
  18. Ahhhh incurlik Turkey... good times Good find DM
  19. Your right, the GPU, in MOST, modern games is the most important factor for gaming. So now that things have changed. What are you planning to upgrade and what are you leaving alone? IMHO, the year is near the 1/2 way point, if you can wait until volta, I really can't recommend this enough. It gives you time to save $ and you will get a better system for it. In terms of the SSD, I am waiting for Optane. It shows a lot of promise and some may disagree with me but it will be coming out close to the release time of volta so it's best to wait. I am one of those "Knowledge is power" kind of folks. If you find out something isn't as powerful as you thought it would be, atleast now you have the knowledge to make a more informed decision. If you have some questions and you really want to sit down and talk about this upgrade/rebuild, I have a teamspeak we can talk on, just send me a PM.
  20. I thought you were just doing a GPU upgrade. Are you now considering a full PC upgrade? If so, that is an entirely different scenario. Mobo If you are after a very small form factor, go MiniITX, the only real draw backs are, 1. The components to overclock on those boards are generally present on the more expensive versions (honestly, OC'ing these days is quite pointless beyond the automated OC). 2. Only one PCI-E socket, but SLI is pointless, IMHO because there are always scaling issues, drivers are wonky, at best you'll maybe get 50% out of the second card, and many engines don't even support sli (to include DX12!) Case As for the case, I recommend this guy: https://www.dan-cases.com/dana4.php It's pricey but well worth the $. It is designed to accommodate even the largest GPU's while maintaining a very small profile. Also, don't be suckered into thinking a bigger case is better. It's basic thermodynamics, more space to cool = requirement to move more air. Buy some Notctua fans to go inside and your good. BTW, Idk if your military or not, but if you are, keep in mind you will want variable RPM fans so when your in the sand box, you can force your intake fans to move slightly less air than out fans, this way you have a positive pressure environment and you keep the dust/sand out. Ram upgrading your RAM depends on what your doing. Going from 8GB to 16GB really doesn't do a whole lot for gaming. However, if you work with file compression a lot, this is where that bump will shine (archiving files, image/ audio compression, etc)
  21. What is the thickness of the acrylic top plate?
  22. By solid acrylic I meant without a metal exterior plate
  23. No worries, I will inquire on my behalf and mine alone. Do you happen to remember the reg for how panels are to be constructed? I remember seeing a video on how real military aircraft panels are made but after searching, I've only came up with how Simparts.de makes theirs and a few others but all use solid acrylic.
  24. Have you by any chance, made a list of all the companies you've contacted so we can continue to search for you and hopefully alleviate that portion of the stress a little bit?
