  1. You said you made contact with panel making companies. As I understood it, you were just selling the boxes (consoles) for the panels to be seated inside. Will you be offering panels as well?
  2. Can I see some pictures and how much?
  3. I am extremely interested in this. My wife gave me to green light to buy a complete UH-1 system but I do not have the room to "build" anything custom. Is there an option to outright buy a ready to fly package for the UH-1? (seat and rails to mount everything like this http://www.komodosimulations.co.uk/virtualblade.html). I couldn't find pedals on the microhelis website, are they still in development? As far as I can tell, there are 3 other companies that sell decent helicopter hardware, OE-XAM, MaxFlightStick, and KomodoSim; All of which I am not content with how the hardware looks cheap and in some cases, nothing like the UH-1. Realistic feel and looks are very important, otherwise, what's the point, we might as well play battlefield with joysticks, Ha-Ha. Last question, if a complete package is offered, what does it cost? I very much look forward to the progression of this hardware and this forum post.
  4. Simparts.de A-10 panels are inaccurate, and worse yet, garbage to look at. On top of that, they have the balls to charge you both arms and legs for shoddy work... pass
  5. Looks Great DM, I'm glad to see your still at it. I know some folks use larger/smaller than accurate sized display panels due to availability, are you doing the same or using proper sized units? I know a while back you attempted to cut your own, have you looked into that other company we had talked about that cuts panels to customized dimensions?
  6. TM 55-1520-2 10-2 https://play.google.com/store/books/details?id=eHw-AAAAYAAJ&rdid=book-eHw-AAAAYAAJ&rdot=1 Complete list of all parts used the UH-1 series helicopters (1B, 1C, 1H, 1M, EH-1H, UH-1V) I found this document extremely helpful when learning how things work as well as the part numbers for various things. I apologize if this has been posted before. If not, it might make a good sticky. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For whatever reason, I could not upload the document myself. For instructions on how to download the document, keep reading. At the time of this post, the document was free to download. 1. Click the blue "FREE" button 2. Click the blue "READ" button 3. Click the blue "<< Exit" button in the top left corner 4. click the options button that looks like three dots stacked on top of each other just below the document 5. click "download PDF"
  7. IFF panel arrived today on my Bday, good timing. Thanks for the help DM.
  8. I'm having trouble finding a list of manufacturer and part name & model number for the various gauges in the A-10 so I figure we could all post here. If you own a real A-10A or C model part, please list the manufacturer, name, and model number on that part to help others find surplus parts.
  9. Hooray, progression. I check this paticular forum post twice every single day. I'm one of those waiting for everything to be done so I can buy everything at the same time but updates like this make me drool and itchy. Haha. Keep up the good work. I Always look forward to updates.
  10. Honestly, IF you can DM, please do. Anyway, I second the motion for the TM WH integration. Even though I own a real Throttle, the TM WH setup is still high quality hardware.
  11. DM, Nice cover. Ducking, that is almost exactly how I invisioned it in my head, very cool. Nice job. I just may ditch the real A model throttle and use a TM WH instead.
  12. when you pause the game to switch from green to a desert flight suit because your destination on DCS is headed downrange.
  13. From the pictures, it looks like the TM WH throttle is just too wide. I think the only truly viable solution would be to remove the outer enclosure that the throttle sits in, as well as the electronics and fabricate a custom cover and platforms for the electronics to sit upon (think upside down pyramid). DM, could you post those measurements you had received from the other member regarding the dimensions of the TM HW throttle base?
  14. I just bought a throttle from the website. Thank you DM.
  15. I see. The real warthog throttle assembly is very difficult to acquire, as is most other A-10 cockpit components. I will look into the disassembly, perhaps the throttle mechanical actuation mechanisms can be separated from the electrical components. While this would void the warranty, I see no other way if the TM Hotas is to be used... I wonder how complex the internals of the throttle mechanism would be to replicate via CNC assuming the electronics from the TM Hotas were used... This is just an after thought, and In no way do I suggest you do the legwork here, DM. *Edit* I found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fhjtd2DAz5E, jump to 4min 09sec to see the underside of the TM Hotas, cover removed. Also, a member from this forums "July865" had a picture with the cover removed as well. http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=92767&d=1389133576 It is my assumption, that the TM Hotas had a centrally located throttle so the entire assembly would not tip over or scoot around. This is why things are arranged as they are as opposed to the real throttle. I wonder if a "box" of sorts could be made with all electronics mounted underneath and to the left or below the throttle assembly on a suspended metal plate, via 4 long screws; similar to Tachno's build. Check out the bottom picture here: http://tacnoworld.fr/?cat=19 for a better representation of what I mean.
  16. Thanks for the help DM, turned out to be a verification error. I completely support the Left console TM Hotas support. C'mon folks, I'd honestly wager most A10C people run with the TM setup and if not, perhaps an option harness/support bracket would work? With DM's blessing of course, I will post in other flight simulation websites directing users to this forum post in hopes of drumming up views and consumerism for DM.
