Any news on finding a professional company? I noticed Warhog does good work, is there anything there? Or perhaps another member has a machine? That might be a cheaper solution than a full fledged company.

Current/recently seperated US Army pilots?

Just to publicly declare; thank you Rob, I really appreciate the head's-up. I'll see you over there soon. -
Current/recently seperated US Army pilots?
Mr.Fenestron replied to Mr.Fenestron's topic in DCS: UH-1H
I am not looking for huey pilots, just US army pilots. The helicopter used for flight instruction is the TH-67 Creek (bell 206 Jet Ranger). I'm just looking for non aircraft specific instruction. As they say, there is the right way, the wrong way, and the army way. -

Thank you. Any chance your a prior or current and want to "show me the ropes"? -
Just as the title indicates, are there any current or somewhat recently seperated army helicopter pilots flying in this game? (UH-1 module). I am a previous AirForce loadmaster, now planing to go Army WOFT soon and I was hoping for some ingame flying tips/instruction :).

Helicopter control mounting?
Mr.Fenestron replied to Mr.Fenestron's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yogi, is there any way we could get an update for this thread on how the mounting system is coming along? I, and I'm sure others, are on the edge of our seats waiting for any kind of news. -
GPU upgrade advice

Please keep in mind. IF you can wait, do. Nvidia will be releasing their next Volta architecture in early 2018. These cards will be expensive BUT that means the current cards will significantly drop in price. If you can wait, wait for volta. -
I was hoping he was still in business or someone knew something

Add me to the, I must own this now, list, please. I tried throwing money at my monitor but so far, nothing. Seriously though, very interested.

It's coming along very nicely Lynx. Is it just me or should those switches be covered more in the Elec panel? eitherway, that looks like a great solution. (P.S: Dibs on the ejection seat as the next project, haha.)

Are you going to include the seat and we buy the entire rig from you? -

I like that seat (not the color, haha). You should definitely incorporate it. Like we talked about, a removable space on the right for a mousepad would be handy. If you have any more pictures feel free to post :) -
Helicopter control mounting?

I've spoken with Yogi and he is working on something like the Monstertech for those of us with limited mounting options. If you are interested in something like this from Yogi, throw in your support here and post so he knows there's demand! -

@Yogi, I will be ordering your FTM once it's released, if you can come up with a mounting system that can also support it I would be very interested. Adjustable distance for the pedals would be necessary for the different heights of people. *EDIT for Yogi* If you also added a side mount so if you allow us to purchase a horizontally mounted collective like in most helicopters, I would be very impressed. I'd like to use the setup to fly other helicopters like the bell 206 and most helicopters use side mounted cyclics. I was thinking similar to the FlightLink chair I posted above. -
Helicopter control mounting?

Hey Heloguy, I read your thread where you were struggling with deciding over the Obutto and the Monstertech, but I did not want to hijack it. I looked at both options but they don't really grab me, though I will admit the Monstertech seems like the best option thus far. In trip/yogi's thread, pg 13 & 14, member 'Chic' asked for a horizontally mounted collective with a shorter tube and Yogi sketched it up and posted a picture. If I went with the FlightLink seat, Yogi's modified collective would work however, that would still leave the pedals and cyclic to deal with. -
I intend to purchase a complete set of controls from Microhelis.de (collective, cyclic, and pedals) but I can't find a mounting system for the hardware. I do not want to build something (I don't have the tools/time/space). So far this is the only thing I've found: http://www.flightlink.com/base-page/seat-and-cover-with-base/ But this does not have anywhere to mount the cyclic and pedals. I have seen an 'E' shaped mount with all 3 components like those from MaxFlightStick: http://www.maxflightstick.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=101&product_id=69 Does anyone know of a good helicopter mounting system?

Looks pretty damn good DM. It will make a great addiction. Can't wait to see it all put together.
-
Is there any chance you will be adding an enclosure box to your EC pedals and your collective? Also, will you be updating the current cyclic enclosure box when your release the FTR module? What I am most worried about is not having everything spaced properly with respect to each component. I want to ensure the cyclic is the exact distance from the seat and the collective height is correct, etc.

Do you want me to give a call to AeroMark on your behalf and see if something can be worked out? In their demonstration video the guy said he had been contracted by a client to build replica panels, that's the only reason I think they might do it and from what I've seen of other companies, they offer the most 1:1 panels.

AeroMark: http://www.controllaser.com Sales: (407) 926-3500 | Toll-Free Support: (866) 612-8619 They specialize in a diverse portfolio of engraving equipment and services so it may be quicker to give them a call.

Have you looked at AeroMark?

Interesting. They want 55K for a complete setup and last time I really looked at it, it seemed to be filled with inaccuracies and misalignment's. I always thought you hated Simparts.de . I was hoping someone would get with you and your plans to provide a reasonable cost, complete replica of what Simparts.de is offering but for a hell of a lot less. I understand time, investment, labor and parts costs, and assuming 98-99% feel is "good enough" for the majority, a reasonably priced alternative to simparts should be ascertainable. Though I will admit this is pure conjecture and in no way an expectation. I'm looking forward to your pictures DM, keep up the good work.
