  1. How does the F-16 fare against the F-18 in terms of air to ground capabilities?
  2. Failed to get authorization data. Error code is: 502 Using saved authorization. Oh god why now
  3. Interesting, I wonder what kinds of Me-109/Fw-190 he was talking about and why that was.
  4. I haven't flew the K-4 in a while but I do remember even gentle break inputs could trigger a prop strike. Is this normal?
  5. This is brilliant, thank you for making these videos!
  6. I see, thanks for the clarification!
  7. What does this mean exactly? That the autopilot will now attempt to follow the new pitch setting instead of flying straight and level?
  8. That's good to know, thanks for sharing!
  9. That's very disappointing if true. Are there any other inconsistencies with the TF51's flight model?
  10. Thanks for the clarification guys, I guess I'm too used to the P-51, which I managed to taxi and take-off without using the toe-brakes at all.
  11. I'm watching the Revisiting Dora 9. Part 1. of the interview with Erich Brunotte and at 17.34 he mentions that he rarely used the breaks and while he said that I was reminded of DCS take-off guide ( ) where it is advised to use brakes to steer the dora. Is it possible to steer the dora using only rudder inputs? If not, why is there a discrepancy between what was mentioned in the interview and the DCS dora implementation?
  12. It seems like I've been using (abusing) the throttle and the resultant torque was the culprit behind my many unsuccessful takeoffs. It's still a challenge to taxi and control the 109 using just twist rudder but when I do takeoff, it's incredibly smooth and pleasant to fly. Appreciate the help guys!
  13. I've managed to takeoff with the P-51D with no issues at all but the operation of the K4 eludes me. The plane perpetually seems to want to go up and left, even when I'm at full nose down trim and pushing down on my joystick as much as possible without breaking it, and it seems to shake around quite a bit. This is unfortunate as most takeoffs end in me in pieces on the tarmac. I've watched a couple of videos on takeoff procedure and have tried to emulate their success to no avail. Any pointers? I'm using a 3D logitech pro with pitch and roll settings are 18 curvature and yaw at 28. All take offs are attempted with the instant mission "takeoff".
  14. Appreciate the responses guys, I'm still undecided on the P-51 or the D-9, but I've got a better idea now and don't think I can go wrong with either. Thanks for the help!
  15. I'm looking for a relatively simple WW2 era plane that handles well. I've had some experience in the past with Il-2 1946 flying the P-51 and K-4 (never tried the Dora) and both planes were a joy to pilot but as I'm unfamiliar as to how different the flight model in DCS is, I can't really decide based on that alone. Any suggestions?
