  1. Your pilot is dressed up/covered so heavily that you can pretend they're whatever colour and gender you want. You won't see it anyway.
  2. Yeah, as much as I'd kill for a sexy, sexy Mig-21F I'd prefer the bis being finished first.
  3. Sure, they are looking through a small window that pixelates and reduces the size of everything. I will believe it. Right after I buy the idea of rainbow coloured pixies throwing acid fueled parties in my computer case to keep the magic pictures moving on my monitor. You are looking at a downscaled 2D representation of the real world via low detail objects (compared to reality) and a restricted fov. Take a picture of your room from one corner. Make it the wallpaper on your desktop. Compare the two. Don't even try to tell me it's the same.
  4. You really can't get it through your thick skull that a monitor is inherently inferior to the human eye, can you? I am not saying spotting aircraft is easy, I am saying that it is a hell of a lot easier than in the game. (the first time I was in the air btw I was gobsmacked by the clarity with which I could see everything as opposed to flight sims) And yes, it was for spotting ground targets, but you want zoom to get disabled completely, which would disable it for those who would use it in the same way IRL pilots used it in real life circumstances. Since you like things to be so realistic.
  5. Would you take Dan Hampton's word for using binoculars (and he claims that "Several of us had been flying with binoculars" in his book)? Granted, it wasn't for dogfights, obviously, but then again, show me a pilot with such shitty eyesight that the monitor emulates.
  6. My bad, I assumed you meant in quick succession, not at once. (Opening post and the whole thread was about that and the way it can be done in game after all.)
  7. Of course it was. If you read the relevant manual pages you'll see that to fire mixed missiles you shouldn't even need to switch to different stations or modes (this is the most important bit). Those only define priorities. https://leatherneck-sim.mantishub.com/view.php?id=81 http://www.avialogs.com/en/aircraft/ussr/mikoyangurevitch/mig-21/mig-21bis-pilot-s-flight-operating-instructions.html Top of page 163 (169)
