Thank you shaggy and OldCrow! Much appreciated! Here's the Su22 finally done in the official presentation format (which means it's finished and I can move on to something else) I take real pride on this one as the Su22 has always been one of my favourite Peruvian Air Force jets and, since the aircraft has been recently withdrawn from active duty after a long and distinguished service, I think of this skin as a small tribute to the aircraft and crews that flew it. AN2, while I'd love to work on the Polish Su22, I'm afraid it has become increasingly difficult to find time to work on my own mod; other people have asked me to do skins for them but I'm sorry to say I won't be able to do so until I finish with my own (otherwise, I'm afraid I would never complete this mod). I'm sorry, but for the moment I must decline to your request :( If you're looking for Polish skins, however, there are quite a few good ones over at Lockonfiles.com, there's even a complete Polish Air Force mod which includes skins for the Su22 and the F-16. Look for "PL-MOD" at Lockonfiles - I've seen it also being hosted at CombatAce.com. Hope this helps! :)

Sorry for the lack of updates :( I had a major crash months ago and lots of mod-related files were damaged. I've been working on recovering them and carrying on with the mod. Here are some minor updates: What I have ready so far (custom pilot skins not shown but they are there): Latest work on the Su22: Some aircraft I had already completed will have to be done again from scratch, but I'm happy to see not everything was lost

¡Gracias hermano! Hay que seguir dándole nomás, piensa que este es solo el paso previo: luego disfrutaremos horas de horas volando. A minor update on the MiG29 with reworked textures: I'd say the tailfins and wings are ready or almost ready. Upper fuselage still needs some heavy work but it's taking good shape so far: A custom pilot is also in the works. With this one, the list of already completed aircraft grows to 9 (MiG29, Su25, Mirage 2000 (Air superiority and interdictor), Mi25, Mi17 (Air Force), An26 (Navy) and the two Chilean F-16s), not to mention the custom pilots for each aircraft whenever possible.

Greetings! Sorry for the absence, RL turned up extremely busy lately. But I'm free now and back to continue working on this mod! Hmmmmmmmmno, I don't think I'll use AdA mod's Mirage cockpit since it replaces the existing MiG29 one and, since the MiG29 is a stock aircraft and more realistically modelled than the M2K anyway, I don't see a real benefit on making the Mirage flyable with a custom cockpit having it replacing the Fulcrum. Maybe the Mirage could be made flyable by using an existing cockpit and FM so we could perform a few DACTs between the Mirages and the Fulcrums just like in real life  Expect updates very soon!

A small preview of the MiG29 (not quite finished yet) *slightly* edited :P Mod is still in progress despite having little time to work on it lately.

If that's the case, then why not this one? How about that for a nose art :D

Azrayen and MAFIA, I have 3D weapon models working in game already: and the missing weapons issue has been solved  Now, as MAFIA was telling me via PM, new 3D models can be added but they won't work because weapons data is hardcoded, so I imagine what I have to do is use existing weapons to "mimic" (so to speak) behaviour of new ones. The question is, how is it done? I'd like the Python 4 to behave similar to, say, R73...
-
Vindicator, I got new weapons (at least 3D models) working in game (thanks to MAFIA... MAFIA, if you are out there, you're the man!). There are four basic files you'll have to modify in order to get new weapons working: missiletable.sht, names.lua, types.lua and of course, MEinit.xml. If you do something wrong, most likely you will get display errors - weapons not showing on planes - as I did. Basic rule for modding: always back up your files before messing with them!!!! Most of the time, returning to your old files solves the problem.

OOOOOOOOOHHHHH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!! Incredible skins!!!! PS: Mizzy, do you have by any chance a template for the Su17M4?

Silly of me :megalol: Thanks TekaTeka! I would also like to remove the numbers on the nose, do I have to create a blank .tga in this case anyway? -

Cpt Stark: Yeah, that's the kind of solution I'd like to avoid... TekaTeka: That's the theory and it worked with the F-16 (no US markings when adding aicraft to a new country) but it doesn't seem to work with Georgia, I don't know why! -

Anyone...? :music_whistling: -
By the way, my many, many thanks to HubMan and the Armée de l'Air mod team for allowing me to use elements of their mod in mine. Thank you very much!
-
... upload the su-25.cmd file (found in Bazar/World/Shapes) for me? I forgot to back up mine before messing with it (big mistake!) and now it won't work. Thanks in advance!

Individual pilot skins with accurate (whenever possible) markings and squadron badges in the works:

Hey MAFIA, nice update! PS: don't forget what we talked about via PM :)

Enough said.

Mirage 2000 Strike/Interdictor camo scheme finished. This was the original camouflage applied to the Mirage 2000, now replaced with the Air Superiority two-tone light blue one that you already know: Oh, by the way, the external fuel tank models are the ones from Armée de l'Air mod, they are for display purpuses only since I haven't asked for their permission (yet) to include them in my mod. If it's OK with them, I most likely will but I'll need written permission before doing so. Flying alongside a M2K with newer Air Superiority camo (later skin has been improved): M2K is now LGB-capable and can be tasked for Pinpoint Strike and Ground Attack roles: I added the GBU-12 because it looks similar to the Mk-82 fitted with Israeli-made Elbit Lizard/Opher laser-guidance kits that we have here. I really haven't got a clue about what designator system or targeting pod do our French birds use, I have never seen a Peruvian M2K loaded with a TGP so I don't really know what they use for target lasering, perhaps they are limited to target designation by ground forces or something... which is odd enough, because you don't buy a weapon system that is going to have limited or restricted use, do you?. Most likely - and this I overheard a pilot talking about at an airshow - the two-seaters carry a gyro-mounted Israeli laser designator in the back seat for precision strike missions so they can designate from a safe distance while the single-seaters do the actual job of releasing ordnance but I can't confirm. Anyway, seems that LOMAC doesn't care if the AI aircraft carries or not a targeting pod as long as you tell it which target to attack in the Targeting screen before firing up the mission... :)

This has been sorted out already but I have a quick question: I replaced the Georgian Su25 "Skorpion" demo scheme for my Peruvian Su25. The skins works except I get Georgian national markings in the Peruvian jet: I'd like to keep Georgian markings in Georgian planes but no markings in my new countries' aircraft. How do you tell LOMAC which (or if any) national markings should appear or not? -
Still 3:25pm where I am but anyway... Happy New year to every single Lock-On-er out there :joystick::pilotfly:
-
Yes I did :) A saved loadout... And then again, no missiles. Just fuel tanks... and pods... and LGBs, but no AAMs: Then I thought "hmmm, it could be an AI thing, or maybe it's just happening with American/NATO AAMs", so I fired up the Flanker just to realise that Russian missiles were absent as well: However, missiles do show up in the HUD, I can even lock and launch a missile that will track and destroy the target, so the missiles are "there", they are just not showing up! First air-to-air kill made with a stealth missile  So far the problem seems only to affect air-to-air missiles since as I previously showed, pods, fuel tanks and bombs seem to be OK.
-
Perhaps one of Lock On's sick jokes again? There they are in the Payload screen... but once inside the simulation... :wallbash: Now... who stole my AAMs? :
-
No, thanks to you! I love your template, mate! Thanks for making it! :D
-
Hey Valery, nice skin! The F-16 template I'm using is yours, Valery! :P D/L-ed it from here . Al credits for templates and resources will be properly documented in the final release.
-
Thanks my mate :D Yes indeed, mine all mine. Unless indicated otherwise, everything I'm showing off here is my work. It will be available once the mod is ready, as in everything I'm doing for this mod. I don't plan to release anything separately.
