I would look at tripple head if Falcon supported it.. But I would hate to have that and not be able to use it for Falcon.. :( Looks amazing though.. Let's have some cockpit film too.. :)

Now this might sound stupid.. But I just worked something out.. So my top tip is.. 'Remember you are flying a helicopter!' I'm used to fix wing and just relialised I am trying to fly like fixed wing. I worked this out and just did 3 spot on landings. I came in a little off centre and where as before I would fly a route in like a fixed wing aircraft to correct this, this time I stuck in some right rudder so I was straight with the runway and trimmed it to hold it. Then gave some left cyclic and a touch more rudder to fly sideways and line up. :) Make any sense? Felt a lot more in control this time.. -

Remember that turning autohover off leaves the alt holding autopilot on.. Makes her fly quite differently.. -
Couldn't find that? Am I being stupid?

After doing some random flying and a few practice touch and go landings I think I have found an issue.. My brakes are backwards?!? Pushing then down takes them off. Is that right? I couldn't work out why I kept popping tires.. It because I landed with the brakes on!

Great.. I vote for more comedy videos.. Great landing too.. Very well done!!

Rudder Pedals are King :)
Flash1606687761 replied to Flash1606687761's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I started with my Logitech pedals.. What I didn't realise was the Saiteks can be much more subtle and you can hold them easily to counter a cross wind.. It's actually quite amazing :) I want to push my right foot and push the nose around so it goes to the left.. No idea why, but that's what my brain wants to do. -

No left :) -
Just connected up my shinny new Saitek pedals.. Ok.. So I have my left and right crossed up (anyone else not sure which foot to push down??) But I was able to perform to hover landing by holding the bird straight for long periods on the pedals, something I couldn't do before.. It feels like rubbing my tummy while patting my head at the moment, but I can see a lot of fun and a lot more control coming my way with these..

I wondered about learning Russian just to make in more involved ;) Seriously though, can you have Russian wing men and betty? It's not quite right having english speaking people in this copter. Like some film.... Next thing you will have a Scotsman as a submarine captain :) -
Black Shark - Pedals?
Flash1606687761 replied to Flash1606687761's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
That's some cool home made kit :) I know the Saitek software stinks.. But I have an X52 and honestly does it matter what the software does for pedals? -
What do you recommend? I have been using my Logitech Momo wheel pedals for Falcon but they don't quite cut if for this helo.. It needs fine adjustment that I can't do. Is the choice still Saitek or CH? I can find the Saitek for £80 or the CH Pro for £100 so there isn't much in it.

With the help of your list I can now be airborne in about 3mins :) That's not bad for about a days practice.. Now just need to learn how to fly once I am up there..
-
But the default trim setting is trimmed for take off. You need to trim it once you are airborne at the very least. I honestly think it works well. Works even better now I have switch FF off which was doing odd things with my racing wheel!

8' widescreen.. I'm no graphic artist either :( The problem will all the shots I have seen is that it would mean making a graphic for EVERY button. They also mostly have covers which makes it even more difficult..

I got this sim yesterday, you really have put some effort into this in such a short time.. I have a startup with graphics in front of me at the moment.. But I will be very soon ready to move over to something like this.. Very nice, thanks :) A5 ring bound check list coming up..

Hey gang... I just bought and downloaded Black Shark yesterday :) Working my way through the training slowly.. This is amazing.. I have a touch screen that I use for Falcon. Is there any profiles about yet for Black Shark? If no, does anyone have some nice shots of the cockpit and I will start putting something together...

Hey all.. Not a normal hang out for me this.. But the touch buddy website is down and I need a copy of the editor.. Can anyone help? I know it's popular with the Lock-On fans :) Cheers....
