Hi all, I'm new to FC so sorry for what feels like a very stupid question.. I have completed the first campaign mission.. Easy, find the yellow smoke and then used the maverick to destroy the tanks.. By the time I came around for a 2nd pass my wingman had finished the job.. So onto the 2nd.. Destroy that building.. But that is the worst recon picture ever.. How am I meant to find it? I'm used to Falcon when I spent as much time on the recon screen as flying the plane! Cheers

Hi all, I'm new to FC2 (Having been flying falcon for years). I wanted something a little easier to pickup when I need a flight sim fix.. I've tripped over helios.. Started looking at the triggers for FC2 and there are not many that I can see, I wanted to add the A10 flaps gauge. Is there anything that works wih FC2? I've been looking for options on something for my touchscreen. Touchbuddy appears to have lost favour..What are the other options? Cheers...

Yup.. I gave up. It was a 'nice to have' that just doesn't work. It's all a compromise at the moment.

I had it working in 'windowed mode' but the controls overlay doesn't work and I understand there are some multiplayer issues too.

Booooo :( Maybe my 2nd monitor idea wasn't such a great one. I now understand why people are having so much trouble. Only other choice is to 'steal' another one that is closer to my primary res.

I'm working in XP now.. And full screen :) I even think my FPS is up :) But now it draws the menu in the middle, half of which I can't see because my 1024x768 isn't displaying everything. :( One step forward. Two back. Can you move the menu screens to display on the left?

I added a custom res into the display properties of the Nvidia control panel for the small screen.. Much to my surprise it worked!?!? I have a very odd sized 15'' screen now. But both are claiming 1680x1050. Starting a game sticks it in the middle so you can't see everything.. Very odd! The question is now.. Do I de-activate my Vista copy of BS and install it on XP......

I have a 1680x1050 and a 1024x768. All I could get XP to do in span mode is 1024x768. How can I get it to a higher res?

Which you have to use anyway if your monitors are not the same res.. (I haven't noticed any frame rate drop in window-mode)

That's what I was thinking after playing about last night.. Cheers.. I have Vista 64bit, 4gb ram and a quad core.. I hope that it should run better in Vista than XP.

I was thinking the same thing.. I am quite happy to hold the rudder pedals so it flys straight. I have also 'over trimmed' the rudder and starting spinning out of control :)

By moving the ABRIS and Shkval to the 'left' screen I can now see the frame rate and comms, but still no 'controls' Interestingly I don't appear to have dropped any FPS by running in window'd mode.

Another cool vid! As everyone has said before, great flying.. I am making it look tough to land on tarmac and you are landing on a moving train!!

I have been reading with interest all the multi monitor threads.. Thinking... Do you really need another monitor for the Shkval and ABRIS? Well a 15'' TFT walked into my car today and has appeared next to my 21' Widescreen. It's very cool seeing the ABRIS and it's much easier to see the tanks on the big Shkval :) I also have a laptop that has the manual open and a 8' touch screen connected to that with touch buddy running.. (Starting to need a bigger desk) I am using Vista and had to use the 'window' mode as everyone said. Now I can't see the frame rate, controls setup and comms. Which I understand is normal? It is better/easier to do this in XP? Can I fix the controls overlay as I find that very handy at to moment. XP is already installed as I have a dedicated 'Falcon' operating system :)

I have setup the target frame on pov hat 3. When I make it bigger or smaller it appears to 'stick' and the box keeps growing or shrinking until I tap it again.. Use the [ and ] keys directly are not a problem.. Any ideas?

You know there is a simple one on the TB web site now? I was testing last night, it's good to have the touch screen up and running again :)

It always shocks me that there is still nothing like F4's DC. It was ahead of it's time by so much we haven't seen anything to beat it yet!

I often fly with the shooting range mission. Good for cold starts, take off, landing (nice bit of wind :)) When I get interested in the tanks you can fly off and shoot some!! I can blow them up but I never get a score at the end? PS.. Love this sim..
