  1. 1. Set textures to high 2. If problem persists: "Mipmaps" are what causes things to be rendered blurry. ATI users can set it in CCC. For Nvidia users - ask someone where do you set it, I don't remember. "Mipmaps are duplicates of a master texture that have been pre-rendered at lower resolutions which a graphics engine can call when a corresponding surface is a specific distance from the camera." If none of the above solves problem, there could be an error with your GPU driver or your DCS installation that makes the game load wrong mipmaps. 3. Update your drivers if they're not updated if 1 & 2 solves nothing. 4. If you recently updated drivers, and your game looked normal before the update - install older driver. 5. If nothing helps, uninstall DCS completely, install again. 6. Still not better after that? Buy a new GPU when you can.
  2. You mean like this: http://www.huffingtonpost.in/2015/07/31/indian-air-force-organ-de_n_7908872.html ?
  3. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6rDtXBQCxo[/ame] Note: Video is being processed at the moment. Runtime is 2:11, if you see else, that is being fixed as we speak by youtube itself.
  4. What is dynamic here? Nothing. We see a decrease in amount of lightening, on a terrain (hard surface) where not even "normals" seem to be more than what 3dMax would put as default. We also see some pixel shading tricks, which are far from "awesome graphic engine solutions". Can "testers" please stop annoying us by showing how much you don't know zilch about how games work? No wonder we have gazillion new bugs in every new "stable release".

    Anime Thread

    Much fap, so hentai.
  6. Simple: I can see flares from 15 or more kilometers - where they apear like giant glowing balls, which makes my enemy reveal himself too easy. Since in 1.5 some smoke and lightning effects are dependant on tesselation, and flares + flare smoke ARE in that group, I reccomend you revise settings for rendering distant objects. I am aware that you'd see it in real life as a distant flash, but size is way too big at the moment. From 15km it looks like a 20 meters glowing ball, since tesselation renders it as a dense glow+smoke ball at larger distances. At short distances, flares still look normal.
  7. Will anyone from moderation say something about it? "We will look into it" or something? It is very stupid to let people report bugs and then ignore their reports. I mean, do can you imagine what happens when there are 48 people on server, and when 10 of them see you on TWS or (even worse) lock you? I can't have a proper flight so many times because it lags the hell out of the client. Either man up and start answering to people who report bugs, because we are helping you to solve problems in your software we already payed.
  8. Until they solve it: After the crash/death, you must join spectators and then re-pick slot (you can take the same, but first you must go to spectators) to avoid this bug. I've noticed it on Su27, Su25.
  9. How about the fact that it never lists all players while in-game? And sometimes it won't even show up during flight? Is that reported by anyone?
  10. Probable cause: If on DSL, you must forward or (better solution security wise) trigger the 10308 port on your router. Router blocks your traffic by default. I've had that problem.
  11. I have waited to confirm this with other players online, and had, before reporting. A: Whenever an F-15c locks me on TWS, my game laggs. B: F-15c pilots had confirmed to me that they experience lags when using TWS in the last 1 or 2 patches. Please, let's make this civil, I am well aware that people with 16+ Gb RAM and GPU-s with 4+ RAM hardly experience this bug, but that does not change the fact that it is there and that it's ruining fair play and immersion. Previous sentence is written here because I've met some people blindly claiming that there is no bug on their PC's which can chew up even bigger lag problems. Thank you in advance for being sane. For F-15c pilots I will reference user "WinchesterDelta1" who had confirmed he has very noticeable problems in TWS mod.
  12. Why is this still sticky? Not just this... These forums have so many threads marked as "sticky" that it's becoming to be a bother in the act of browsing the forums. Please do something about it. Don't ask me why am I resurrecting a thread stopped in 2010 - ask yourselves why is it sticky for 5 years, while nobody reads it, and the subject had been long-time obsolete. Thank you.
  13. That IS the actual problem. Replay must be REPLAYED by recorded data, not recalculated every time. :)
  14. If any of you AMD GPU users had problems with missile smoke and contrails being chopped (or puff-puff-y) I have found the solution: Your GPU must have "Tesselation" enabled in the CCC settings.
  15. People, please, I understand (and had before I posted) that there are "some" apps out there. I am talking about functional app that connects via local network and lets you see some things that are unique for all the modules *F10 map etc, and to build up the additional per-module functionality in it. The functionality is the main thing, and interactivity along with it. I am not talking about kneeboard apps - I could make that by myself.
  16. Sure, sure, thanks a lot - but none of that is interactive with the DCS itself.
  17. Well, mate, I see that for myself. Tracks worked fine (at least for me) for years - so I guess it's a new problem. I haven't found it posted here in 1.5 reports, so I spent some time on writing it down. I didn't want to analyze, I wanted to make a video :D
  18. I played a Single Player mission (during the Su27 campaign). After downing 2 F15s, I had a guns duel with F16 - killed it, landed and wanted to record the dogfight via track replay. When I watched the replay I had NOT changed views or anything, I wanted to record what actually happened and my reactions. Replay was played directly from post-flight screen. Problem: The AMRAAM that missed mi in my "real flight" - hit me in the replay. Now, seems like the sim recalculates everything during the replay, instead of just replaying the recorded data. After exiting the replay, flight log showed different data than the first time - it had logged what happened during the replay, and all the "new things" that happened - but, campaign recorded a win and no losses.
  19. Sure is. I have been wanting to see a good gaming app that connects PC/mobile device for ages. Imagine having a nice app that lets you use your A10C MFDs, for example... Yeah, but having it produced by original developer has many perks...
  20. So, I have had this idea for years, but I'm no programmer. But... Since someone has (FINALLY) done that, when Bethseda made "Fallout Pip-Boy" app for smartphones which allows you to connect your smartphone via local network to your game and use in-game menu (map, inventory etc.) quickly and efficiently on your smartphone. Now, it would be pretty awesome to do the same thing with DCS: Make an app, port it to iOS, Android and WP that allows the pilot to see, for example, f10 map. Okay, some of you will say it is not needed, but if ED plans on doing something about introducing airspace control into the sim (manned controllers, towers, awacs...) then it would be a great base for developing some awesome apps from that core that would make this sim even more advanced and modern.
