  1. Hello, I think I'm stuck on mission 2.1 Radio and navaids, when using VOR for the first time and the instructor asks to set a course / heading of 230, nothing happens when I set the course. I tried 3 times and tried moving also the heading, I'm stuck. Thanks for really great training missions though, wish all modules training missions were that good! Edit: I'm afraid this is the case on other missions as well, almost everytime I have a course heading to set in the mission, the trigger is stuck like 80% of the time and I have to manually edit the mission file to remove the condition to advance.
  2. Same here, not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not!
  3. I'd also love this! Making faliures a bit more common (although keeping them rare) would make checklists in general way more useful and increase tension when flying, even in peaceful parts of a flight.
  4. Just finished the Kursant Campaign yesterday and I must say I absolutely loved it. I think everybody that wants to get better at virtual flying should try it out, even if they have a lots of hours under their belt in DCS. I felt that the missions really made me work on my virtual flying "fundamentals" such as stability when flying / turning, being always aware of my flight parameters, navigation, working on briefings key elements of a mission, and being able to remember them while flying (without pausing the game). Being a big L39 fan, I do use a lot of the stuff I learned in the campaign since I played the missions, including on online servers. Using the stopwatchfor navigation for instance, or using certain attack circuits for A/G... For the record, I bought the L39 as an introduction to military flight sim (I'm more of a civilian flight sim guy in the first place) and it was my first full module (before I just played Su 25T) when I bought it in 2017, and I was sort of using it as a home made "Carreer mode": train on the L39, learn all about it, then move on to the Mig21, trying to emulate what a "real" fighter pilot would do. This campaign was a perfect fit for this idea of mine, and I forbid myself of playing any other modules before I completed it. The ending of the campaign feels even more rewarding because of that. I can finally learn the Mig21 thanks to the validation of the instructor 015! Some negatives about the campaign though: - Some of the briefings were very confusing, especially at the end of the campaign. Some missions had altitudes mixed up (radioalt or not) and... please, oh PLEASE specify in the briefing that the KNEEBOARD has flight maps on it!! When I discovered that the first time after spending an hour on the briefing of mission 2 trying to understand what was going on I was pissed. I imagine some players are not used to the kneeboard and probably dropped the campaign because of that... - The attack circuits are all quite interesting, but some context on why use one over the other would have been great. - I feel like more missions based around instruments navigation would have been a big plus, like an entire mission dedicated to ARC (NDB) / RSBN / PRMG usage in bad conditions. Maybe, one less rocket attack mission being replaced by a RSBN mission would have been perfect. But all in all, really loved it, I had great fun planning all these missions and executing them. I think what I enjoyed the most is that you realize with this sort of training that it is not about getting kills online or learning how to dogfight after 3 clicks. It is more about the discipline, the preparation of a flight, the briefing, the knowledge of your aircraft, and being able to use it in the adversity of your cockpit and unexpected events. PS: I posted the last missions (starting from mission 7) on Youtube if anyone is interested in watching a bad pilot do the campaign.
  5. I agree this would be great to have this fixed, also don't know if this is a bug but putting the JPT REG Test on position II after startup stopped the engine for me and my friend. I think I remember I read that it is not recommended to use it after engine start as it interferes with the fuel shutoff valve or something, but why would only the button II stop the engine then and not both? Again, maybe this is accurate but I was curious about why exactly it behaves that way.
  6. I own the module and I'd love to get instruction from a fellow pilot in the backseat ! Would be so great, but I don't know anyone who owns the module...
  7. This looks like great work, I hope you guys will keep on working on it!
  8. Wow, yeah, 400h in a real L-39, pretty impressive! Thank you guys for answering, I am back from holidays and will fly in the next days and weeks! Mind if I add you on Skype? jonboede not sure how to reach you though!
  9. Hello there, I am kindda new in the flight sim world, I bought FC3 a few months ago. I flew a lot of Su25T and decided to try the L39C as a first fully clickable airplane, kindda liked the idea of learning how to fly a training jet before trying more serious or valuable aircrafts like the A10C or M2000C. I love flying the L-39C, learned how to use ADF system and RSBN, made some touch and go sessions (damn, making no mistakes is harder than it looks) and stuff, but sadly I have never been able to try out the multicrew feature, as I don't know anyone having the module. Sorry if this is not the right place to post this, but where is it possible to find more experienced pilots or just other Albatros owners to play with? I'm not really sure where to look. Are there like teams or crews on some servers / forums? Any ideas? I'd love to have someone at the instructor seat to talk to, and to learn! Thank you!
  10. No there are many pages (and you can actually include custom pages). To browse the kneeboard you have to bind a key for "Kneeboard next / previous page" if I recall correctly
  11. Would love to, how do we find each other exactly?
  12. Thanks, had a go with this last night, worked great ;) I'm no expert but I helped my friend that has only DCS OpenBeta installed to install Aries. Actually the absence of DCS 1.2 didn't make a difference in the installation, he just checked the installation of Aries in the folder of DCS 1.2 (which, since it doesn't exist anymore, will create a new folder) in the default folder, he didn't change the location at all. Everything worked smoothly, and he used Aries Configurator OB to configure his hotkeys (same as me). Did you run all the setups (including Teamspeak's) as administrator? That's what made the difference for us.
  13. Me too, would love to try out this multicrew as a student! I don't know anyone who owns the module so I wasn't able to try multi yet.. :)
  14. Hey thanks, but how exactly do I install them?
