Hello all, installed the new 2.5 and after all download it asks if I want my modules and wants to download all again 32 G??? I still have bothe the other ones installed as well, should it not see and avoid to download? Thanks for any help!

Hey guys, just wanted to give some feedback using and testing many settings. Right now my best setting was to have supersampling in Steam VR at 1.6 with Asynchronous reprojection. On DCS pixel density at 1.5. I have tried around with changing both, keeping one fixed etc. What I found out is that one is not overlapping directly the other. If you only keep adding on the DCS one my GPU GTX1070 % of use never goes higher than 50-60% use no matter if it is 1.5 to 2.0. When I increase the SS in SteamVR up to 1.6 I can get the GPU up to 90-87% use and off course the image in the cockpit is very clear and looking good. I keep all other settings fixed to be able to only change the two parameters above. Would be great to hear from others how they see it? Cheers, Luis.

From what I can tell they can work together somehow but that is really my question. When use Elite Dangerous for example it does show to work together. With DCS and with SteamVR at 1.1 and changing the DCS one around does change things in the simulator so for sure SteamVR is not overriding it? So I guess my question stays on how the 2 work together? Maybe DCS overrides SteamVR?

Are you guys as well runing any supersampling with the SteamVR setting? I run now 1.1 and had 1.8 in DCS but from what I read here I will move it down to 1.5. I am with Vive, GTX1070, i7 and A10C always. Thanks all for sharing.

Hello all, thought I would share my experience although the discussion is a bit old. I started with the Vive now since it was launched and true is was difficult for DCS in the beginning. I do not own a Rift to compare but I can say that since a few months now with current Steam VR versions and re projection options and the new DCS changes to VR it is a great experience and I find myself only using VR now. For sure some teaks can help like HUD size font increase and font size for the MFD's but other than that you can get a very smooth and quiet clear view with no motion sickness as it was the case before for me. For the reference I us e a GTX1070 and iCore7. Enjoy and fly safe! -
Hello Sgt Baker, I can say that for us using mostly VR this development would be of a great help. I understand the costs involved and hardware needs and I am ready to support. My suggestion to you is to start a Patreon page like many VR developers do and the ones of us that are interested can pitch in, and also that way we can get to try and support the beta developments. http://www.patreon.com Keep up the good work!

Would be great to navigate menus, in out of missions, etc, without having to use a mouse while in VR. Anyone has found a better way? Cheers.

Yep before I was more happy flying with my cockpit setup and the MFDs etc... now the HMD experience with the freedom of looking around and now that graphics look better it has become the main choice for me. Just hope they can improve a bit the scale of things as sometimes the tanks out there look a bit on the tiny side... cheers. -
Hello all, just wanted to say quickly with latest version of SteamVR, DCS updates and using asynk re projection the experienced with my Vive changed completely to a great one! I could take graphics settings up a notch, move in game super-sampling to 1.7 and outside in Staem VR at 1.1 and all looks crisp great, no motion sickness, no compromise just pure fun! By the way simple I run a GTX1070 and i7 3770K @4.3GHz with 8Gb of RAM in case you wondered. Happy simming! Cheers, Luis.

I have found posts from years back but they do not work for me, already spend a couple of days on it and I still cannot get both to work together. SIOC works well alone and same for Helios. Tried Pankake's solution, etc... but nothing yet. When I add: dofile("./Config/Export/SiocExport.lua") in the working Export.lua of Helios and load DCS only SIOC works and not Helios. If anyone could help in anyway it would be great, thank you, Luis.
