  1. Thanks, that was it! :D Can't believe I didn't think of it immediately since we had the same issue with MiG 21 back in the days before 1.5. ;) Too bad the mirror is so poorly optimized though.
  2. I experience low FPS in-cockpit. Regardless if I'm on ground or in the air. I have about 35 - 50 fps in cockpit (usually 60+ anywhere else). I don't have this issue in the MiG 21 or KA-50. The drop happens when I lock directly into the cockpit. If I'm looking around to the left or right the FPS jumps up to 50 - 60. Is there any setting that I can change to increase the FPS? And yes I know this is not a huge deal but it when it drops down to mid thirties low forties it becomes very noticeable. Especially since I'm practicing low altitude flying right now. I'm running a an i7@4.5ghz, 16GB ram and a GTX 980ti.
  3. Once the solid fuel runs out the IR missile should loose lock on the missile fairly soon since the SARH missile should cool down quite rapidly. I was thinking that you could use it to drag the IR missile close enough so it would lock on to the same target with its heat seeker. If you loose the radar lock or have to go defensive it might increase the chance for a kill anyway. Well it is just a theory. :music_whistling:
  4. Is it possible to fire a SAHR missile first then have the IR missile lock on to that and they both go to target?
  5. But I've seen plenty of people being able to post videos on youtube where they have recorded flights during replays. So there should be some way to fix this.
  6. I don't know if this is a bug or just me doing something wrong so please move this thread if it is in the wrong place. Since the 1.5 update I've been unable to get my replays to play correctly. What always happens is that the replays simply doesn't play what actually happens. Sometimes my aircraft just skids out form the runway and can't take off. If it manages to take off it doesn't fly the same route and usually crashes somewhere along the flight. This happens with any aircraft I fly. (Mig 21, Hawk, Mirage 2000C). In both Black Sea and NTTR map. And whether I use the "speed up" function or not. Before the 1.5 I would get this issue maybe one out of 20 times. Now it is every time. Is this a known bug and I've just missed it while googling and looking for a solution in the forums. Or am I doing something wrong? Is there some setting I need to use for it to record correctly? I run a i7@4ghz, 16GB RAM and a 980ti so I don't think it is a performance issue. My DCS is installed on a separate HD from the OS.
  7. Both actually. But this was recorded with the old version of DCS (1.2.5 I think). I haven't tried modding 1.5.
  8. I've been trying to find some info on this but I'm having trouble. From what I can see you can switch between three different modes for close combat in the Mirage. How do I use them?
  9. Thanks!
  10. The MiG 21 is by far my most favorite aircraft both IRL and in DCS. I like to try out crazy shit with it. Like using it for SEAD despite the fact the it is absolutely not designed for it. :joystick: As you can see in the video below I was (after many tries) able to take out a IR SAM vehicle with a Kh-66 GROM beam riding missile. I'm curious what you guys think? Would this be practical to use in an online mission? Has anyone else tried to push this aircraft beyond what it was designed for? I'm looking for suggestions on what to try out next. :music_whistling: I start shooting and stuff about 3 min into the video.
  11. I set the waypoints a now it looks good. Thanks for quick reply!
  12. You're quite right. I don't have any waypoints set. I'll try to add some and see if that sorts it out. I have no intentions on flying to the moon. ;) However the way the climb rate of the Mirage currently is I might just give it a shot.
  13. I get this strange message on my HUD with a lot of numbers directly after take off when I do a cold start. It stays on the HUD during the entire flight as long as I have the system set to "NAV". I have tried several different routines during cold start suggested in this forum and on youtube but this "Error Message" keeps appearing. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong.
