  1. I noticed that this popped up over the last couple of days. I've just tried it myself as I have a 7950X3D and a 4090 and Q3 but it didn't improve my frames at all.. NVIDIA 590.26 preview drivers introduce Smooth Motion frame generation for GeForce RTX 40 Series - VideoCardz.com I got it to show as Smooth Motion is on, as I changed the setting in Nvidia inspector but in game, still hovers around 60-72fps.. null
  2. PC isn't set up for it
  3. Someone should give it a try.. NVIDIA DLSS DLL 3.7.10 Download | TechPowerUp
  4. I was about to try this today and low and behold, the new patch has updated it to 3.7.0.0 already.. yay!
  5. Appreciate the reply and understood. Thank you. Shame that it's a long line but understand that it's not a commercial operation.
  6. How long does it take it take to ship? Looks like the queue is pretty long? Like over 12? months.. Also, is there a quest 3 mount available?
  7. Think I finally found out my issue.... friggin Hornet.. it has a known issue of when the radar is on, it pauses every 5 seconds or so.. !@#!^!@#!^%!@#!^!@#!# It's so nice to finally see it smooth...
  8. Starting to do my head in.. I can't for the life of me get a stable 72fps in persian gulf, ready on the ramp, FA18. Even on the lowest settings, I get frame drops every few seconds. 7950x3d, 64gb CL30/6000mhz ram, 4090.. Tried disabling rebar, HAGS, usb hotswap.. I've copied DCS to a SATA drive and still get that frame or two of judder..
  9. For those with higher end PCs, ie, 4090 and 5800x3d/7800x3d/7950x3d, are you able to get a solid 72/80fps with spacewarp turned off? Personally I hate ASW as it can get glitchy artifacts especially when flying over densely populated areas. I run mostly 'high' settings, with 2x MSAA and a 1.2x resolution bump in the oculus app.,
  10. 4090, 'ultra' setting in VD and AV1. Good idea. will reset the DCS profile in nvidia settings..
  11. What is the usual 'decoding' time frame in VD? I'm getting 13-16ms.. is this correct?
  12. Legend. Thank you Outlaw
  13. Not available publicly..
  14. These are the options that I get in oculus PC desktop app.
  15. Sorry, that was using Airlink.. Will try it again using the cable.
  16. I've just spent the last hour with my Q3 and DCS. Yep. Definitely a nice leap over the Q2. The pancake lenses are as good as everyone makes them out to be. There's no small sweet spot anymore and everything is in focus from the centre to the corners. There's a nice increase in FOV and it definitely seems a bit brighter in display over the Q2. You can't really see pixels anymore, but you can see anti-aliasing/jaggies. I have a 7950x3d and 4090 so no slouch and was getting 65-72 fps on Persian Gulf in the FA/18 ready on the ramp. Obviously need to tweak it but everything was set at maximum DCS graphic settings and 1.3x scaling at 72hz in the oculus control panel. I think it's now quite telling that you can actually notice lower res textures on some of the models. The biggest QOL feature is the colour passthrough. As a glasses user, it's just so handy to be able to double tap the side of the headset and you can see your surroundings. No need to keep putting on and off when you need to see something in the real world. Just leave it on. Sure, it's not super high res or anything but more than usable to put the headset on and startup your game etc. The straps seemed comfortable and were a nice snug fit on my head. You probably won't need the 3rd party halo strap anymore as the headset seem light enough and doesn't want to droop down like the old Q2 and strap did. If only the PC app supported hand tracking. That would literally be a game changer. Yes, you can use a leap motion but honestly, it doesn't work that well. On Q3 native, hand tracking is fantastic and the ability to click on things without the controllers is so good.
  17. Just go with a 7800x3d build. Intel is also unquestionably way, way hotter.. Plus, if you buy a decent motherboard now, you can use it for the next round(s) of AMD chips.
  18. nullUpgraded to a 7590x3d over the weekend. Paired it with a 4090 but only running 4800MT C40 ram. Will upgrade it at some point. That said, I can get stable/constant 72fps with a Quest 2 with the following settings. ASW is disabled. Infact, enabling ASW gives you a noticeable judder as textures go screwy from time to time in its attempt to provide smooth frame rates. The mission I've been using is Ready on the Ramp with the Hornet on PG map. I can take off and hit downtown at low level over a lot of polys/buildings and it's rock steady at 72fps. I may get the very occasional dip to 71fps where there's a very slight pause but overall it's pretty impressive. The only real noticeable popup is the grass where it just appears. Is there is any way to double or triple the draw distance? null
  19. And you're the selective hearing type. Again, the openbeta update showed no update. Then, for whatever reason, it started to work. I haven't modified any of my files, whatever. Someone at ED changed files that allowed @openbeta to start working. It's just a shame that it was 2.5.1..
  20. Actually, this is complete bollocks. The updater did not pick up an update with '@openbeta' for at least half a dozen times.. then, for whatever reason... err.. or should I say 'user error' on the part of the customer, the updater finally started to download a 7.7 gb update. So, someone at ED, made the error, and released and old version under the '@openbeta' update.
  21. Well, its 1.18am here. And waiting for the update. As it is, it'll probably be an 8gb download which will take me a good 10 hrs to download, let alone the actual hornet update. So I'm here until the update arrives, or I fall asleep at the PC.
  22. It's called realism..
  23. That was awesome.. Thanks.. When taking off in the Huey in the harbour tour, i was getting low fps, but that's fixed so the refresh is keeping up with the ATW.. no weird ass judder going on..
  24. Yeah... I know, but it's a strange bug..
