Thanks for the help Itkovian, that solved the problem, 1 rep heading your way. I can't remember having to do this the first time around, thats a while ago now of course.

I've not played this in a while, I had the game uninstalled to do an OS install. I've installed the game again and installed the patch. Now the problem is when I press the trim button on my msffb2 stick then move the stick to that position and release the trim button it pulls to the right, even when I load the instant mission the stick is pulled to the right even before the mission starts. When I do ctrl-enter the stick cursor is always to the right of the line no matter how I try to trim. There are no keys duplicated for the trim or cyclic commands, the center trim option is unchecked (although I have tried it checked with no difference). Anyone else had this?, I dont see this problem anywhere else, I know of another MSFFB2 owner with exactly the same problem.

Well in the city where it's 6.50 Euro for a pint the game is priced about right. You should have travelled over the border Nate, bought the game, then filled you boot with booze and groceries ;). I was on holiday in West Cork recently, the prices scared the life out of me , i'll be back when the Sterling gets stronger.

I always knew it would take Einstein to work that one out :).

Don't you mean manual?, I haven't had a problem with the release of the sim. If not how has it been problematic?

I thought it was a good review, OK most of the review was written by someone else, but having a individual like Ed Macy give it the thumbs up is really good publicity. You mightn't like the review but you have to admit that this will help shift more copies. Thats the bottom line after all.

Business office, and a wife who thinks diseases are caught from a sewing machine. I have hinted believe me. She asks what I need curtains for in the office.....what I want to say is "honey it's for my head tracking device so I can play sims when I should be working" :helpsmilie:. What I really say is "it's too bright in here". Maybe next year.

Saw that show, it was excellent, mind you it was bamboo they were cutting through.

I think of flight simming as a bit of a hobby, I love the genre, in the same way as a golfer loves his sport, he'll buy new clubs once in a while, and more often than not will buy a book on his sport to help him understand the fundamentals. I love a bit of fishing when the weather is nice, I buy a new rod once in a while, I also have shelves stuffed with fishing books. Can you see where i'm coming from? , those who buy the game, it's a bit like buying the golf clubs or the fishing rod. Then we want to expand our knowledge a little further, so we buy a book. Be it Golfing, fishing or simming it's all the same. It's our passion and we don't mind spending the extra. Plus on top of that if you buy from TFC then all the profits go directly into their pockets to help fund something else, be it new games or towards an aircrafts restoration. It's a win win situation.

The thing I find trackir the best for ingame is moving the shkval with the helmet mounted sight. Yes it will give you great situational awarness, we know that anyway. But i've flown many times without it and without a problem, when the sun shines throught the window trackir is useless. So during the day if I play then its with the hat switch.

Got mine today as well, it looks really good. I love the new additions, The check lists and the what to do if guides are very usefull.

It's a good review indeed, just one thing, was the part about the Apache coming after the A-10 a direct on the record quote from you guys ? I know the assumptions about it in here but is this solid news for us?
-
mmm, this guy didn't fly this for very long ... and hasn't taken the time to read the forums. Though I do think the reference to the campaigns not compatible with Vista should be removed from the game, as it isn't correct and causes confusion to potential new customers.

It's a real shame the manual wont be out for a bit, it will suit all those buying the DVD version of the game as it will be all new to them, but I've had this game for so long now I feel i'll give it a miss.

All of the above and the biggest tip of all....PRACTICE and plenty of it.

Anyone heard from Urze lately?

Maybe Benidorm? If there are personal issues on his side maybe a single post to all would alleviate some of the concerns here, after all this site is his greatest potential for getting sales / earnings. -
'Laser' Malfunction after RE-ARM bug - any news?
Vapour replied to Dropbear's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
It would still be nice to have the option to turn laser failure off without dumbing other thing down too. In a coop it's quicker to go to spectator view and rejoin in a fresh shark than to wait 3 mins for things to be fixed. Sorry if that doesn't sit well with some, thats my opinion. -
New Mission "BLOODY BAMBORA" ftp server fixed!
Vapour replied to jg3_dragon's topic in User Created Missions General
Great mission you made, it's all action right from the off and plenty of targets, and love the Ride of the Valkyries at the start, it sets the mood :). -
First try swapping the way you press the fire button, eg R Alt + Space instead of the other way around, second make sure nothing else is conflicting with the fire button, just check nothing else is mapped there. Lastly map it to something else, prefably a single button press.
-
The following steps will only work if you have carried out the proper start up procedure 1. Laser range finder on 2. Vikhr selected (Y) 3. Lock on to target. 4. In range (generally 7km or closer) 5. Place the missile target circle over the smaller target lock circle in the HUD 6. Confirm you are getting the letter C in the HUD and Shkval screen 7. Fire
