I Alt-Tab out of the game, it minimizes, I click to maximize it and my computer freezes unless I ctrl+alt+del and end BS. Any ideas how to stop this, it's really irritating during a coop. XP SP3 E6750 C2D 8800GTX 4 Gig DDR2 550W PSU

Bang for buck the Saitek hotas is the way to go, it's a good stick with a great throttle, when the joystick packs in then get a CH Fighter stick, you will then have a marriage made in heaven. Edit. If you've no rudder pedals then the Saitek is the way you will have to go as the others (msffb2 excluded) don't have the twist function you might need for rudder control.

How are you hovering..autohover or manual trimming? I would get this in autohover all the time, it doesn't seem to happen when manually trimming the helicopter to a hover.

Does this happen when autostart is used? (Lwin+home) If it does then it sounds like a bug, though tbh I haven't encountered it.

I find it all a bit hit and miss really, I select the A/A targeting button, then the HMS, sometimes it takes two or three tries to get a lock, if i'm far enough away I try for a Vikhr, if not I go to cannon. Seems pretty successful so far, it's just getting that target lock, failing all of that switch your sight to boresight and try it the old fashioned way.

Do the devs have a date in mind for the release of their printed manual? I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into this. I know January is mentioned, is this still on or will it be delayed?

Is it possible in a mission when you are getting low on fuel or need more ordanance to go back to your base and get replenished? I tried without success.

I don't find holding the trim key then releasing it at the attitude you want then releasing all the controls works for me, instead of holding the trim buttom I just tap it once when I reach the correct attitude then let go of the cyclic and rudder controls, it works every time for me, i'm using a ch fighter stick, saitek rudder pedals and x52 throttle btw. As for auto hover I dont use it anymore, I seem to get it prefectly stable with the trim controls.

What other sim can you do this in? it amazing, i've been playing the Tvkarchelli mission all night (thats a tough sucker of a map btw, at least for me atm with my limited skills), I coudln't believe it when I was in full zoom with the shkvr I see all these little men running for the forest, I then lock on to one of these guys and track him, then a short burst of 30mm HE and he falls down dead. I keep well back and pick the rest of them off when they break cover. Honestly the level of detail is staggering well done guys on a winner, you must all be sitting in your work with big smiles :lol: of self satisfaction with the feedback your getting.:thumbup:

I think I read in the manual somewhere about pointing a to the right a bit in cannon mode due the guns position, I could be wrong about this.

On his third (i think) through breakage, though he has had these replaced under warranty every time, saying that IL2 (what he plays) is a lot more demanding on a stick than this game.

When I started simming I used the Saitek ST290, cheap as chips and a very good stick for those on a budget, I can't comment on the aviator stick personally, though I know people on their third one.

There used to be a thread about it in the Saitek forum but I can't find it, someone was asking could it be used for IL2 and the answer was no, it was an FSX addon only.

It's not in game controllers.

I've got one for FSX and i'm nearly certain it will only work on MSFS. I'm d/ling BS now so I will tell you for sure tomorrow.
