Could you not just move one axis airfield back to around Caen? That way you will accomodate the people who want to fly 2 mins and the people who want to fly 7mins. Its not difficult
-
Eeeks you have to amend the mission. I took off after a server reset, ground targets are being destroyed so quickly that the server resets. Probably lasted about 10 mins

And i put it down to im not very good, change something to help me win. I want a quick bullet point what you personally think is wrong with 51 Just had a quick flick through this thread and i will say that most of what i am reading is lack of experience and ability. I fly the p51, not my best aircraft but i dont experience half the i cant defeat the 109 scenarios that have been mentioned. Desicion making his a huge factor and knowing what to do. There is a video where i happened to be in a 4 ship and got to fly Tecnams wing. We fought 3 109's and 190's deck. All 4 were destroyed. I even managed to defeat a 109 defensive on the deck. The K4 is a powerful machine and easy to fight in. But it has its weaknesses. 72" wont make things easier for anyone if your still making the wrong choices in combat. I will try and dig the video up recorded by someone else. We all fly the same p51 in the sim. If its purely down to the 'inferior' plane then we all should struggle against good 109 pilots. Guess what, some of us dont. I dont want this post to sound conceited, so i invite anybody to come onto ACG TS and fly with myself and Tecnam.
-
So whats wrong with the P51?
-
Now lets extrapolate this. Im going to use the p51 and k4 as my plane examples and you and Tecnam as my pilots. I would not say the p51 is inferior as a plane. They both have strengths and weaknesses. For example turning low speed K4 better Turning high speed 51 better Fighting deck against k4 is very hard but as you start going above 26k the 51 will start being superior. The plane will only be able to do what physics allow. Yes a better pilot will obviously be able to fly that plane closer to its limits. So clearly Tecnam can do this and as a result does well in the combat environment with the 51 against the 109 and 190. You fly exactly the same p51 that he does. If you cant admit that maybe you just need to get better, what is it exactly that you think you need to be successful against the axis planes like he is?

I have flown both 109 and 190

Please tell me why the last year i have flown BS server that guy is consistant in the P51. And why when i have come up against him its been bloody hard work to survive! Id love to know why the P51 struggles soo much when i can see what it can do in a good pilots hands.
-
No what it means is most of you dont know how to fight in a p51 and just making excuses

Hi Eeks 2100 GMT Server seems to be warping around a bit. Please check it if you can. Also i thought that the stats at the end of the month (reset) only counted for pilots with a minimum of 10+ hours?
-
Thanks for your honesty. Im disappointed to say the least :(

SithSpawn is there any feedback on this?? I have searched everyone, also own the 2 great Dora books by Jerry Crandell. When i read up on the MW50 i get the same info that it has enough to run for about 3x10 min periods with a 5 min 'cooldown' between use. It so obvious that this is not acheivable in the sim. Temps will only really have an impact at high altitude due to the cold temps plus the cooling nature of how the MW50 works in the engine. ie cooling the engine too much or freezing. Certainly flying around Normandy on a nice summers day between 0 - 6KM the MW50 can not be run for the periods it should. Again i point out that the 109 even breaks the 3x10min rule as you leave it switched on and can go from 1.45ATA to 1.8ATA all day long. What gives?
-
Eeks, does the server get reset every month?
-
Right.... So you chose to pick a video before I was flying Burning Skies which i posted in Feb 2016. Which yes has a sound mod. 4 Videos that i have posted flying Burning Skies more recent, both 190 and 51, no sound mods. So how is your point relevent to current flying on BS?

"sound-radar"...official opinion on it?

I agree if you look at the consistent top 20. 3 kills in 12 hours...maybe not so much. I dont use sound mods. Had before BS server existed. I never made comments about pilot ability until your Italian Ace wanted to bring it into the conversation because of his tribal ties to porco. -

:megalol: your 12 hours and 3 kills on Burning Skies suggest you need to fly more and not in the forum :megalol: Btw if you are going to link one of my videos for sound comparison at least pick one where im flying the same plane. Go to 25.13 of the video, only engine i can really hear is the mustang im flying -

Firstly Italian Scrub, if you think a 51 hearing dead close as it whips past at 400mph and you hear it briefly along with my engine, trying to make a point......thank you, because you made the point even bigger with sound radar showing the difference between mine and porcco vid. You complete melt. Secondly Porcco I have never called you a cheat, I have said it's cheap and gamey, don't get all butt hurt being a victim, it's not like you would never have thought, damn I cant hear my engine that's odd. Best thing from this is DCS pulls their finger out and makes it not possible to hear other engines so clearly, if at all over your own. ITA this is your que to write more drivel that makes no sense and just makes people think you have special needs. -

I think i will. Its people like you who ruin the integrety of a multiplayer pvp server  -
Eeks is there anything you can do about this gamey sound radar? Check out the vid posted here. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3227591#post3227591

I ran my Test using manual cooling
-
This matches the test i ran late 1.5
-
You can do it in a fly now or even in a multiplayer server
-
Sith there was a change around the end of 1.5. That test that was quoted was done in 1.5. It still happens in Normandy
-
Please stop talking its embarrassing I asked for the science behind it, an explanation, not as you say waste precious hours to test it. If I said how does lift work on a wing people will comment with the science on how it works. They don't need to go away and create a track file to explain that!
-
BIGNEWY can we have some useful replies then. Can someone give me the science behind why the 109 can come off and on MW50 consistently and the Dora cant? To my knowledge of how MW50 works on the engine it should not be the case. If someone can give a credible reason i would like to know. Dont mention temps as the fail happens in the green.
-
I have run a test with Dora as per what it says in the DCS manual and it still fails early on MW50. I have mentioned it here before but nothing feeds back from it. Engine restrictions have nothing to do with it between the 109 and 199, the technology is the same and it works exactly the same way in both engines
