So, just wondering how everyone else does it. In the Mig I barely use the radar - its too slow and now I have a high res monitor i can see targets much easier ;) So I load up with IR missiles and try and sneak up on targets... ive had much more success this way... I'm talking single player as well...

Hey All, Trying to get past the instant action ground attack mission... got a few questions for those in the know.... I think when dive bombing i am below the altitude for the cluster bombs to disperse and they just hit the deck hard - Could this be the case or is it something else? Also, the release bomb light comes on, then almost instantly the exit attack light (on the right) so close together that you can barely see between them. I am not diving over 6 - 700 kph and max dive angle is around 45 degrees.... And finally - I really think dive bombing in the mig is only good to get you killed so, i saw all the excellent vids of level bombing.... does anyone have a tutorial or and sort of how too? Spent the whole of Sunday flying the Mig... was one of the best Sundays i can remember....

Is the RWR in the Su27 no longer working? I don't get warned of missile launch anymore...

Hey, Just wondering if you guys are good at these sims? I find most survivability in the F15. I fly the Black Shark, FC3 and the A10 . I find that I fly really low all the time to avoid threats. I know this is not the correct tactic but it works in all conditions. Most enemies don;t detect you until its too late if you stay low enough... A2A is a struggle at the moment in FC3 with the indestructible AI. I rarely survive missions on the first attempt if I stay high and don't have labels on. Do i just need to keep practising and learn better tactics?

I never thought I would say this but the Su25 is now my favourite aircraft... I have been relearning it since the latest patch release. Never have I felt so engrossed in a simulation... Just awesome...

Hey All, Just wondering if you use labels when flying? I play BS2 and FC3 and try not to use them. But after dying a few times not knowing who or where, I have to turn them on to complete some missions... It really does detract from the realism but there are only so many ejections I can take before it gets old... Cheers James

Only problem is the 29 is far more popular than the base SU25 and the A10... It should have been done instead of one of these... I generally only fly the Mig and will never bother with SU25 and the A10 even with great cockpits...

So why was my post moved - its FC3 - you know, part of DCS world....

Hey, Does anyone know if this is still broken in FC3? I flew it twice, shot down 4 x F5's landed successfully. Still a failed status, when I checked the Su25's that are suppossed to take out the SAM sites, not a single missile left the rail? Do I need to modify this mission to make it successful? Oh, and are we getting a 3d cockpit for the 29s? Thanks James

Hi Folks, I am stuck on Deployment mission 8 - the one where you lead a 4 ship flight over the mountains to rain havoc on the enemy below. My problem is getting over the mountain. I turn on the anti ice early for the rotors and try to climb at around 130kph as this is the best climb rate. When I get near the top, I lose all momentum and need to turn around or crash into the mountains. Some people were saying jettison the rockets as it makes it light enough to fly over... I haven't tried this yet... The one time I did make it over, the remainder of the flight was stuck on the other side and I got wiped out by the choppers on the other side by myself... Any tips or advice is appreciated as I am losing momentum with this mission... Thanks James

Hi Folks, I believe i know the answer to these but I am hoping to be proved wrong... Will the Mig 29 get a 6 DOF cockpit? Its my understanding that it won't - only the 15,27, 25 and A10? Its just some people speak like its happening... Is there a PDF manual for Flaming Cliffs 3 somewhere? I can't seem to find it... Thanks Lawsy
