Please, someone kwon how to assign axis input to any keyboard function? For example, I'd like to assign spot lights function at ministick on my CH pro throttle. I've checked input categories, then axis, but spot lights command don't exist. Is't possible to add such assignement (one axis for horinzontal and one axis for vertical spot lights movements)? If Y, please, can You tell me how? Thanks in advance for patience and courtesy. Best regards. Antonio

Dear Sirs, although I fly regularly BS, I've purchased FC2, installed, activated and flown it for some times without any problems. Yesterday I've downloaded FC2 patch1.2.1., I've deinstalled FC2 (and LockOn) for a clean installation required by patch. Ended the reinstall procedure and applied patch, before to fly, FC2 required me activation. Why? I don't understand. Several times I've deinstalled and reinstalled BS on same PC without any (re-)activation demand, according the clean install to apply patches or just to solve problem due to some mods. Please, can someone help me? Really I must activate FC2 another time, or each time I must to apply a patch? What I must do so to avoid same problem in future? Please, - add ground personnel (pilots, mechanics, etc.) for airbases and FARP. This will add great realism. - all men (soldiers, ground personnel) must walk, not only run. According to low altitude chopper operations this's essential. - add randomized trees and bushes in randomized area outside cities, airbases, etc. This will "populate" landscape adding more realism. - add new trigger rule: "selected frequency". This should be appreciate, considering the current lack of realism in communications (to/from ATC, to/from other air/ground units involved in the same mission. This will add a good realism, because player will hear univocal "message" at right time. - add new trigge rule: "spotted unit/group". This will be very useful to create realistic environment in the mission. Suppose ot hear a "message" from friendly recon ground unit, as it see hostile incoming/moving unit. - add choice: "visible before start", in the unit placement window for all AI air vehicles. This will add great realism at airbases and FARPs. - add new waypoint type: "hold position" for alls AI units (air/ground/sea), until certain time is espired or related at any trigger rule. This will be very useful to create realistic environment in the mission. - add new waypoint feature: "range", in the unit placement window, to set any range (from 0,1 km. to 5,0 km.). AI unit, randomly will place itself in the selected range, according rivers, buildings, trees, etc.. This will be very useful to create realistic environment in the mission. - add new waypoint feature: "random time", to set any random time (in seconds) after ETA selected. This will add good realism. - add new radio command menu to Tower: "request lighting" at airbase/FARP. Alternately, - to illuminate airbase/FARP much before sunset, much past dawn, and when fog. At present day, lack of suitable lighting make some approaches/landings rather unrealistic. - add new static object: "helipad", i.e. a simple invisible helipad, where AI choppers can land/takeoff to upload/download units. Closely connected, - add new waypoint type: "upload/download" for alls AI choppers, that will land, will maintain engines, then will takeoff to resume flightplan. AI chopper will stay on ground until certain time is espired or related at any trigger rule. This will be very useful to create realistic environment in the mission. Thanks in advance. Best regards. Dear Sirs, 1. waiting for communications enhancement, is't possible add new trigger rule "selected frequency"? In this way, will be possible receive messages and/or sounds only when player have selected suitable frequency. 2. when in twilight weather conditions, FARPs and airbases lacking of enough lighting. Please, activate FARPs/airbases lighting before twilight!!! Please ... 3. is't possible to avoid voice of player. I clearly understand what I request, order, etc. Please, is't possible to add selection PlayerVoice Y or N in options menu? Thank You very much. Best regards. antonio

Please, - add single ground units like mechanics and pilots, to insert them at FARPs and airbases. - enable lighting at FARPs and airbases when foggy weather. - enable chance to set OFF player's voice (commands, request, etc.). thank You antonio

Please, add new triggers rule: - add rules "country damaged", "country alive", " country dead. This will be very usefull when severals units or groups can appear (one or another, or more) in any triggered zone, due to randomized method. To avoid to "trigger" each of these possible units or groups (so to activate related action) it's better set "country damaged/alive/dead"; so, any randomized unit/group, that will appear in the zone, will activate the action. More easy. - improve ground vehicles/troops AI displacement, and - add new command " random displacement and range " at route type options. For instance, selecting "random displacement" at last waypoint route of ground vehicles/troops, reaching it they will randomly displace themselves (according to environment; rivers, buildings, and so) and within a pre-arranged range (by the mission designer, in meters or km). Suitable use of random ground forces composition (trigger) with this new command (random displacement and range) and improved AI, will bring chance to fly really unpredictable missions, or to repeat same mission several times maintaining high concern. thanks in advance. antonio

Please, add new triggers rule: - add rule "country in zone". This will be very usefull when severals units can appear (one or another, or more) in any triggered zone, due to randomized method. To avoid to "trigger" each of these possible units (so to activate related action) it's better set "country in zone"; so, any randomized unit, that will appear in the zone, will activate the action. More easy. - add rule "country ouside zone". (see above). Please, improve weather tool. Add chance to obtain a simplified dynamic weather. Really don't need great changes: - add possibility to select dinamyc weather Y or N; if player select Y, then: - add a percentage of variability (reasonable could be 30% of weather at mission start) in temperature, clouds cover, wind, turbolence, and fog, during the mission time. Player could select for incoming good or bad weather, and variability speed (quick or slow). Thanks in advance. Best regards. antonio

Please improve TOWER/AI/PLAYER airbase's traffic pattern logic, interaction, and comms: - any chopper on final (for instance, when stabilized inbound within 5 km) must have priority over any chopper ready for take off on taxiway. The latter must hold (at taxiway hold position) until chopper on final safely landed. At present day, although player's chooper is on final (some times, on short final), AI chopper takes position on RW and executes take off. - AI chopper on final, behind player's chopper on final, must be redirect to a waiting pattern (or order go around) until player's chopper safely landed. At present day, AI chopper continues its landing and some times crashes on payer's chopper. - comms between TOWER and AI choppers must be present for reality, better involvement and situation awareness. Provide chance to set TW/AI audio comms YES / NOT. Minimum comms must contain: XXX ready to taxy, XXX ready for take off, XXX airborne, XXX downwind, XXX final, XXX runway vacated. Please improve FARP/AI/PLAYER traffic pattern logic, interaction, and comms: - as above. Please add new waypoint purpose for AI chopper: - add "inflight hold position" (until trigger or until time espired). - add "inflight deploy troop". Before this waypoint, AI chopper will descent at suitable altitude (1 meter), reducing meantime airspeed, and hover for few seconds on waypoint (until trigger or until time espired), then it will increase airspeed and altitude to take again its flight plan. In this way will be possible add a trigger and activate ground troop at exact point. To avoid problems, permit to add this waypoint only on flat terrain (as for place FARP) - add "inflight extract troop". As above. Please, add a new trigger size: - add rectangular size (providing chance to set width and length). Thanks in advance. Best regards. Antonio

Please, - possibility to SIMULTANEOUSLY use alls 4 helypads for takeoff (ex. 2 Ka-50 + 2 Mi-24V simultaneously, rather than taking off two Ka-50, then appear and taking off two Mi-24V). - new trigger action: add "smoking fire" (Generates a smoking fire. Select the trigger zone in which the smoking fire will occur at the center. Select the smoking fire altitude above ground in meters and select the volume of the fire in abstract units and the time to expire in seconds). - possibility to set ammo store on each combat vehicle (ex. SAM, AAA, TANK, APC): low, medium, fill. antonio

I've purchased two copies of DCS BS, ENGlish version and RUssian version too. I've installed and registered ENG version. Can I install ON THE SAME PC RUssian version too, activate it, and fly, one time ENG v., and another time RU v.? Are there some incompatibilities? Thanks in advance. best regards. antonio

Please, can someone help me? I'd like to randomize column's composition and arrangement: during my mission I wish encounter, along a road, one enemy column, without know its composition. So, I've created 4 columns along same road, and I've named its as encol1, encol2, ... Their composition is: encol1: 2 tanks, 4 trucks, 2 apcs; encol2: 1 apc, 2 trucks, 4 tanks, 1 apc; .... and so. My idea is that only one column for time appears along the road, and I don't know its composition. I've tried with triggers, but I'm unable to find right way to do this. Please, CAN SOMEONE HELP ME? ED, PLEASE, CAN YOU IMPROVE THIS FEATURE IN THE FUTURE, MAKING RANDOMIZE MORE EASY TO DO? I think this feature greately will improve suspence and involvement in the missions. thanks in advance for any help and tips. best regards. antonio

I've read: Multi-core support will likely be available in DCS at a later point, but right now our bigger focus is on providing full 64-bit support. 32-bit is currently limiting some of our options. As for DX10, we see no persuasive reason to add it at this time. Please, I need some clarifications about 64-bit support: DCS Ka-50 alreday runs under XP 64 bit? I'd like change my OS, so this info is really hot for me. thanks in advance for your reply. -

ED, thank You very much for ka-50. Really it's an exceptional and versatile sim. I'm very gratified of it. Can I assign univocal frequency at each FARP (that I've added into mission)? Can I change default callsigns of airports? If Y, what I do? and if N, is't possible improve these features in the future? Thank in advance for Your courtesy. Best regards.
