  1. Does anyone know a way to alt+tab or something to virtual desktop or 'bigscreen' so you can browse/Spotify whilst flying. Once you're in DCS you feel abit stuck there
  2. .......WOW! I sat there, loading up the familiar huey, all of a sudden - I'm inside a helicopter. I sat there for a muppet for about five minutes saying wow, then hesitantly pulled up on my collective, my stomach lurched and I realised, this was the best purchase decision i've made in a very long time.
  3. This thread made me pull the trigger and order one too... arrives this afternoon :D
  4. Thanks. What graphics settings do you use and fps do you get?
  5. Hey. Sorry if this has already been asked but I am contemplating buying a vive and was wondering how the 980ti handles it on DCS (particularly 2.0). There's alot of conversations on these forums about performance issues so it's putting me off making the purchase a little bit. Can anyone with a similar system to mine report on framerates, settings and performance to inform me before my purchase? I'd really appreciate it. I've got a 4790k, gtx 980ti and 32GB ram
  6. solved for me... I encountered a random 1 second stutter intermittently even though the hardware could handle the settings Well I spent a good day today trying ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING from every NVidia setting permutation (980TI) to disabling pagefiles, messing with the SSD settings etc. You name it, I tried it and read every forum post on lags stutters and fps drops What worked for me was turning CPU hyperthreading off in the BIOS. (i4790k) I'm now running everything maxed and locked at 60fps with vsync on. Reliably. I've confirmed it was this by switching it back on and off once or twice. Hope this helps someone else...
  7. Well, I am not a real helicopter pilot, minus a few hours in an R22. I am an avid helicopter flight simmer though, using a set of full-sized controls and flown pretty much every helicopter on every sim. I don't know if it's realistic but in my opinion, for what its worth, its just not fun to fly. Not, I feel because it is sensitive (I was hoping for that).
  8. Slick Gazelle, thank you for the information. In terms of loss of lift, I mean, when transitioning from hover to forward flight it wants to dive into the pavement
  9. Hi, Is anyone able to exceed 200 km/h indicated ? That seems to be the top speed I can get out of it but the Gazelle is capable of 260 cruise and 310 max? Also, any real rotor heads can explain why the loss of lift when transitioning through etl?
