  1. Hi, all~ We are chugging along on the patch, but can't give a hard date just yet. I believe the wait will be worth it when it comes to the features and fixes to the module. The team has ironed out a good number of the current release's quality of life issues, and we can't wait to share them all with you. In other news, the A-4E-C makes a short cameo at 3:05 in the new trailer for the F-14, which is super flattering:
  2. This is fantastic news, thank you for letting us know!
  3. Just a quick check-in. For those of you who do not know me, I've been the 2-D artist for this project for a few years now. This past month I've started going through some of the module's sounds to make improvements and even some new additions! Thanks to all of you who have been using and enjoying the module. It's been a thrill to watch the download counter climb and seeing the videos folks have made on YouTube and reading your stories of using it in DCS here in this thread, not to mention seeing some of the quick code improvements and sub-mods everyone has made in response to it. Thanks to an influx of new talented coders on the project, a slew of fixes, improvements and even new features and functions for the A-4E slated for the next update. I have no exact ETA on there for when it will be released, but the future is looking very bright for this project.
  4. Part of getting carrier operations to work is currently hinged on the plane's sea level elevation, so you're most likely to experience this kind of slippery brake situation at coastal airports - inland, if you've got your flaps down, airbrake out and have the spoiler armed, you should be able to land properly at most airports. Obviously, the number of coastal airports on the Caucasus and Persian Gulf maps means quite a number are affected at this time. Dealing with the runway braking is on the to-do list for upcoming patches to make the behavior of the aircraft more usable at the game's coastal airports and to reduce the slippage on carrier decks. It wasn't something we wanted to rush in the first patch, but it's definitely on the list of things we'd like to address very soon.
  5. Ensure your canopy is still open if you want to communicate with the ground crew!
  6. i will be producing a performance pack for the cockpit. it may not be available day one, but it is on my to-do list. the plane's external maps shouldn't tax a machine any more than an f-15 would, but since we're targeting only the new PBR lighting, there won't be specular maps produced for the module.
  7. can confirm this livery will be available for download in my international pack (separate from the module, but it'll be there!)
  8. quick intra-month update: the module now works with the shrike guided missile. look out, sams! https://gfycat.com/OldSelfreliantAlaskajingle
  9. The plane will launch with a "team" skin, and i anticipate that'll be the case.
  10. wow, awesome photos, thanks for sharing those with us!
  11. certain items aren't on their final updates yet - the panel in that picture is a straight untextured black in the screenshot. the grey you'll end up seeing for that panel will look more like the photo you posted than the screenshot above once unwrapping and work has completed (and everything has a nice material map).
  12. there will definitely be a set of VT-7 trainers available!
  13. as a companion to the cockpit shot, here are some in-progress images of textures for ground equipment, and the mk-77 bomb.
