  1. Can we also have one of these?
  2. Add a cup holder and I'm sold. Looking good Polychop, nice work.
  3. Re UK spec of the Gazelle and whether it was only a scout heli and what optics it was fitted with... 'The British Gazelle AH.1s were originally unarmed, but they were rigged with unguided rocket pods for combat use in the 1982 Falklands conflict. Later in the 1980s, about 70 AH.1s were fitted with a roof-mounted GEC-Ferranti AF532 optical sighting system for the scout / targeting role, and after that some survivors were fitted with a "direct voice input" command system. Most of the British Gazelle fleet was retired in 2010.' http://www.airvectors.net/avgazel.html
  4. Here's a video that's probably old news to some, but recounts the story of a Lynx and Gazelle trying to find and destroy and Iraqi tank during the invasion of Basra. The Gazelle is used in an observation role and isn't mentioned much (the Lynx is the focus) but it covers some tactics and is generally interesting, hopefully (note, the uploader has made a mistake and refers to the Apache, it's not.) https://youtu.be/hBDhTMmhI6M
  5. I've never got that close unfortunately, I just like the way they look and the fact they're fast and can do rolls etc. I think the BO105 will have to do for now, looking forward to that one.
  6. Thanks, I've given that a quick try and couldn't get it work but haven't had much time over the past few days. Will try again this week ;-)
  7. No probs, thought it was too good not to share. Yes the audio sync problem is annoying but it's still watchable. Re the sighting system, the AAC definitely used a different spec to the French. I think the Gazelle was just used as a scout helicopter in the UK and not as a weapons platform (I think the Lynx with TOW missles did that job before the Apache was purchased). Not sure though, if anyone knows more/different I'd like to know. Would love to see a Lynx module in DCS.
  8. Sorry if this is a bit basic, new to DCS, I'm wondering if there's a way to adjust to cockpit zoom amount after using the zoom view (the axis control one.) I've mapped the zoom view to my throttle's/hotas rudder control so I can zoom in and out while flying. However once I've used that to zoom in our out, the normal view then defaults to a zoom level that's too zoomed in (for me). Is there a way I can manually set where the default zoom position is but still use the zoom view on my throttle/hotas when I need to zoom in or out? Thanks :-)
  9. You're welcome, thanks for the other vids.
  10. Nice shots all. Not been using DCS long and just wondering if it's possible to render out different passes, e.g. it would be great to have a separate depth pass and motion vector pass as well as an RGB.
  11. I think I missed it when it was on first time round. Great insight into the Army Air Core selection process and loads of Gazelle footage. Should be mandatory viewing for DCS Gazelle pilots :-)
  12. Here's a six part BBC documentary from the 90s about pilots trying to get into the Army Air Corps. While training they fly the Gazelle (the first couple of episodes are more about basic training before they get into a helicopter.) I've linked the first part...
