Thanks, Installing 2.5.6 version right now. Is there a list that shows the last version available before the jump to Windows 10 or versions before that? I am unable to use several newer aircraft but know there is an "in between version" that will fit this old PC...

Tried to update DCS on an old rig and cant launch because it is still running 8.1. I know how to update/repair in the command prompt but not sure how to roll back to a specific version AND dont know what version to use..... Thanks, SCHOOL

Thanks. Tried it and still super unstable with many crashes. I am on OB because I now get the NVIDIA ad at startup. Just cant find out how to launch stable.

Not sure why I would get an xplane log in the DCS folder. When I click on the desktop icon, I get pointed to open OB. It says my stable is updated when I try in the command prompt with the correct version #. How do I point it to open stable? missing 1 thing as I did this 2 months ago. Thanks.. dcs.log

I am running DCS on an old rig and need to go back to stable after trying open beta yesterday. Too buggy compared to relatively good performance on stable. Did the command prompt thing and says my stable is up to date. When I launch, I go to OPEN BETA and usually crash out. Desktop folder also says open beta. How do I get it to default to stable when clicking the icon on the desktop? Thanks... SCHOOL

Great information guys. Will look into the used sellers. I am usually fine with used and a warranty or return policy. The mining GPU issue brought up here had me a bit concerned. Grabbed the ddr3 memory to make 32 and will look into a GPU next after online testing.

64 GB is pretty reasonable now. Do you recommend skipping 32 and going to 64GB? I really only fly on the non combat aerobatic servers. Also wondering if there is any RAM limit to this motherboard.

Built this rig for a cockpit several years ago. It actually plays fine in SP but I am unable to fly in MP. I am not ready for a new build this year. Just want a new graphics card to drop in and get back online. Not looking to pull power unit either so card should be good with an older 600w. Looking at the 3060 card or rc 5700xt / 6000. $250 budget and would love some links…not big on used gear either. Non VR obviously but didn’t know where else to post. specs below. many thanks…. I am happy to report that the Apache runs better than the F-14 for me. Waiting on the new cards before a new build but no crashing or stutters here. Current: I5 4690 GTX970 16gb ram

About to pull the trigger on the 64 but wondering if I should wait until I upgrade. Was curious how it compares to the f-14. I am able to fly the 14 online and solo pretty well with only an occasional crash on MP. How does the Apache compare?

I built a generic cockpit for VR with unique buttons for easy recognition. With over 500 hours in the seat, I can go directly to the desired switch. Also very immersive having switches in the accurate location. The Virpil stick and custom twin throttle cover the remaining functions. SCHOOL
