I have a question : so how much gain in performance will you see in DCS World 1.5.5 1080 vs 980 ti ? is it +30% or +50% ?or more ?

Thanks for replay Yeah I am still thinking getting 1080 but 980 ti is so much cheaper ( only 270$), so was not sure , should I get it or add money and get 1080? how much more gain in performance will I get from 1080? with my 4790K, 32 GB RAM and Gigabyte GA-Z97x-gaming 7 mobo, and in VR would it be significantly better than 980 ti?

Thanks ! yeah I have I7 4790k at 4.4 Ghz, 24GB 2400Mhz DDR3 RAM and GA-Z97X-SOC Force with Samsung 240 GB SSD and GTX 1080 Strix OC version , everything under Win 10 Home edition 64 bits, guess will have to get those 2 Lillipust for Cougar MFD to know for sure, hope no significant impact om system productivity . USB monitors for this kind of things are very convenient

Right, and it is posted there that they are developing Apache and Viper so maybe they will translate it to the DCS world as they did with Hog? and this will be real surprise , Just imagine, we are waiting for Hornet and then there will be announcement that ED is releasing Hornet , Viper and Apache with 1 month interval ,starting January 2017 :D That would be just awesome happiest year in my life :))

Is this how it is going to look ? I could not find any updated screenshots for USS Vinson, any links? Kuzia looks really nice :D But could they use more polygons for models, as now we have Pascal Graphics ( GTX-1080 Ti soon to arrive hopefully) , so hardware should handle more advanced 3D models, IMHO

Yeah this "Everything is subject to change” kinda scary, hope they will stay with plan and will not simplify models. I hope Devs will give us some more info on this project progress; it is strange that they religiously provide bunch of updates on WWII module situation, but not so much on modern aviation projects from ED. Anyway, let’s keep our fingers crossed; maybe soon we will get extensive update on Carrier ops and F-18C !
