For some reason edit button is not working again.. Last Question Does XPadder work with windows 10?
-
Thanks Jocko...Im going to get XPadder for the $10 One quick question... Can i only use XPadder for my button boxes and do the CH Products HOTAS (Fighter Stick, Pro Throttle, and Rudder PEdals) that i own in game and not with XPadder? Want to make sure i dont have to do everything through XPadder then.
-
I might use this method instead. Eventually i might try the file editing but personally rather not Does SVMapper let you use more the one custom button box? was looking at getting more then one of these circuit boards below http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=180&zenid=c0e6597b577cbcc76b94da462abc79ba

I heard you have to do things in the LUA to get the on off toggles to work is this true? Is there any way around that maybe like a (ON) (ON) Switch or anything? also very nice clean work there bud Didnt realize you were in other forum post lol I heard with the SPST switch when you turn them on the action stays on. But when you turn it off it doesnt do the action to turn it off without the LUA edit.. Im looking to not have to deal with LUA and just set it all up in game.

Any chance you can show the inside wiring? If not what board did you use? Also what switches and buttons did you use? Looking to build a button box

The harrier releasing at the end of this year was huge in my opinion. I am currently still working on my PC and am excited for the Hornet and SOH -
2021 (and earlier) DCS Newsletter Discussion Thread
iVVChewy9141VVi replied to NineLine's topic in DCS 2.9
Firs off great newsletter. I wish everyone in the forums a happy new year. This year with the release of 2.5 which will join the players who use only 1.5 or use only 2.x into a single community. I have high hopes for DCS and all other developers when we move into 2018. Wish all the DCS Developers and Forum members and there families a happy and healthy New year -
Thats what i was thinking. http://www.derekspearedesigns.com/uploads/3/3/3/7/3337442/1414452_orig.jpg?172 Like this diagram the outer pins are the ground pins connect the common while the 2 momentarys go to each number on the circuit board
-
I recently purchased this board from DSD http://www.derekspearedesigns.com/32-button-no-matrix-controller.html I know how to wire a Normally off (ON) button. But i would like to know how i would wire something like this below since it has 3 Terminals. Its a On-Off-On Momentary Toggle. The reason i ask is because each button has 2 pins https://www.allelectronics.com/item/sts-78/spdt-on-off-on-momentary-toggle-switch-15a/1.html

From what i read here https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=89226&highlight=warthog+position+switches SPT will not work without lua work. To get it to work i would need a ON (ON) switch Also i was just looking to bind the commands like landing gear up and down to a momentary toggle like below https://www.sparkfun.com/products/retired/10545 Basically have it set to toggle up to have gear go up. Then it the switch will return to center. Then toggle down to have gear go down. The switch will return to center

If i didnt want to edit the LAU file then i would need certain switch components For something like the APU which is set to one button i would need a On (On) Toggle? Correct since i will need the toggle to do the same button from toggle on and toggle off. With the settings of landing gear which has in the options a landing gear up and a landing gear down i can you a On- Off- On Momentary toggle. is this right

I am only using Push buttons and Toggles switches (Both 1 way and 2 way) I also saw that i can use the Leo bodnar which is solderless on one side and to connect to the switch itself i can use a spade connect to push onto the pins itself Also i see that some of the connectors have amperage ratings and so. What do i get? Also any links to sturdy well made buttons and toggles? Hans Switches like below can use a spade connector right https://media.distributordatasolutions.com/Ideal/images/PrimaryImage_2070-medium.png

I am looking to create a custom button box and have some questions Where does people get the best 2 way toggle switches and buttons? I am looking to do a solder less connections to the switches can anyone help me there with buttons and switches for that. If you wire it wrong or if i do solder in the end after learning and a wire is miss soldered or wired will this cause a problem in the computer?

My thing is will 1.5 Stable be know as the stable versions for DCS so every update that someone wants that is not a beta and alpha will be used for that download. Or will 2.0 open alpha become the release for 2.5? Will 2.0 Open alpha just be a test platform for members to try out and look for bugs? While the current 1.5 release stable will be used as a path to 2.5 stable. Hard to pin point what i want to say when im exhausted Basically if im running 1.5.x stable will that go to 2.5 once its considered and stable
-
I always hear people ranting on DCS about they will go out of bussiness? is this true?
-
Thanks i wasnt sure. Since the plane is considered Early access i thought that means that the plane will not be onm 1.5 stable until it gets out of early access
-
I would hope both 1.5 Beta nad 2.x alpha would both become 2.5 stable
-
How long does it usually take before it goes to stable 1.5? Does it only do that when the harrier is not early access
-
Does the Harrier work with 1.5 stable? or do i need 1.5 open beta?
-
Since Wags and DCS made a open letter stating that in the couple of weeks 2.5 should be coming out. Would i be safe to get 1.5 Stable? or should i get 2.0

SSD Size for DCS?
iVVChewy9141VVi replied to iVVChewy9141VVi's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks BitMaster, Ill probably get a 500GB just to play it safe. Most of my time will be flown in the Hornet anyway. If anything else. Just want to make sure 500GB is enough. I like to separate all my stuff. 500GB for DCS and 1TB for Steam on SSD -
SSD Size for DCS?

It is dedicated -
What size SSD would be good for DCS? I will not be installing any mods. Just official Modules and Terrains. Also i will only have 2.0+ on the SSD i will not have multi installs of DCS like 1.5 and all that. With 2.5, SOH and the hornet coming i worry if 500GB is more then enough for say about 2 more years. The only modules i will probably get is the jets. The F-18,Harrier,M2000,f-5 and l39
