  1. EDIT: I uninstalled OPENTRACK software, which someone noted earlier as being 'unsupported' by Eagle Dynamics. The persistent message has now gone away.
  2. This mod is really cool, easy to install, but I noticed I had to run DCS as administrator and even run the BAT files with administrator CMD in order to allow the LUA to have write permissions. Coop 2-player is working, but I'm getting 10-20FPS with CPU and GPU nearly idle. (I get 90FPS in other multiplayer missions) It seems that DCS with so many 'active' objects in play kills the game performance, but I think that is a byproduct of the current DCS engine optimization. Almost as if the ACMI recording every track from every object is choking to entire game (don't quote me, i'm not a programmer). (video recording) Disabling Clouds in the MIZ file increased performance to 45FPS... which is now playable. I suppose that is related to the DCS 2.0.5 update that impacted performance.
  3. Wind speed and direction needed to activate PRMG (ILS) system?
  4. Software developers who optimize their game for VR, utilizing multi-core, multi-GPU, and multi-projection will allow us to experience highly detailed worlds without sacrificing performance. The current Hardware milestones were needed to benchmark today's games and simulations. Now that we are here in VR, the doors are open for Software developers to engage these new worlds. New techniques will need to be discovered and implemented in order to balance the VR environment. It must be crazy for developers to realize their long-time efforts easily translated into the VR world, with only minor tweaks to bring their simulation to life. Some techniques, like water reflections, were 'faked' and could not be perceived on a flat monitor, but were quickly apparent 'under the hood' (in VR) due to 3D stereoscopic viewing. DCS World in Virtual Reality is worth every penny I spent on my CV1 and currently provides the best Multiplayer Combat Simulation experience available.
  5. OCULUS FPS TRACKIR This occurs when I am flying in VR with the Mirage 2000 in DCS 2.0 or DCS 1.5 and I come into a high detailed area. My the whole sim freeze frames as the TrackIR message toggles. The sim runs fine for awhile until I get into a low FPS (<45 FPS) situation again and the TrackIR message appears again. I assumed this was Oculus Runtime switching between the new Asynchronous Space Warp modes as it detected lower than 45 FPS from the DCS application. Somehow killing the USB flow or something while it switched modes. The issue could occur 2-3 times within an hour flight depending on my flight area scenery and object density. So i don't know who to blame, DCS or Oculus since they both released updates around the same time (11/25). Note: everything is latest stable release versions.
