That's part of what's holding up things at the moment. I want to dedicate some time to that and one other thing. It's by far our biggest bug request. If it's not in 1.02, it will be more out of getting things out before Christmas rather than giving it. Unless it is 100% unavoidable, I'll be working to fix it. Along with the SAM damage bug, it's by far my highest priority. Edit: And to specify, this is referring to the bug which kicks folks out of MP or prevents them from rejoining. -

Hey all, just want to give you a quick update. Version 1.02 will be available next Saturday or earlier. The RWR won't be included but will be worked on going forward, however, all of the other changes I mentioned will be available. If you've sent me PM's, I apologize for taking awhile to respond. Hey all, a quick update on how we're doing. After a short break, we're back to working on bugfixes and implementing a few of the changes you've seen in submods. Changes coming in v1.02 include but are not limited to the following: New Addition - Gunsight Power On Fade - Additional Pylon Loadout Options - Rocket Connector fix for AIM-9P - Simple RWR (Tentative yes for v1.02) Bugfix - Brake Power Adjusted to Prevent "Runaway Plane" on Tarmac and Runway - Removed Debug Messages during certain actions - Other fixes TBD Additionally, I recently created a submod for those in the aerobatic community. This submod replaces the current cockpit with a new, high-visibility cockpit which omits the ECM panel, countermeasures panel, gunsight and warning lamps. I'm not really sure what's causing it, It's one of the biggest standing bugs in my opinion. I'll be working to resolve it but am not quiet sure where the issue originates from. Hoping to figure it out though. -

Wow, never thought this might work! I don't have any switches on my hotas setup so never thought that might solve it. We'll work on creating a more permanent solution, but this is great. Thanks for letting us know! An update for some of you who may not have followed the original dev threads, I'm very infrequently on the forums but do check back ever so often. If you have any pressing issues, please feel free to PM me and I'll get back in a few days. I've been on a short hiatus as well due to the holidays and work, but am working on implementing fixes for our upcoming update this month (v102). Thanks all! -

If you are having the canopy glass issue, please check back in our downloads folder for either a standalone hotfix file or a a new version, v1011. Either work, but the cockpit.edm is much smaller in file size. -

And that's a completely understandable position to have. Its by no means perfect, its a mod by people who had never made a mod before and only had two professionals in their area of work (coders). One thing though, external lights do work. Flip the switch on the left side of the throttle and flip the switches on the far right side of the right console. There are bright and dim options for the nav lights, as well as a taxi light. -

Hey all, been a crazy day since release. I'm combing through bug reports and reading a few message, and understand that there is an issue for some folks where reflection causes pixelation. We're working on this but do not know an ETA for a fix because my Google drive is full (I know, right? and I need to wait for it to recognize things I've deleted. Apologies for this, we resolved it a few months ago but for some reason its returned. Will post updates as things come along. Thanks for all your support! -

So to respond to a few questions while I nervously look at the calendar... Our pylon options only support x2 AIM-9 ( GAR-8 ). There are no GBUs present on the aircraft. The era we're aiming for is the early 1970s, specifically 1973. For this reason, we are leaning towards only one model of AIM-9 at the moment. I'll be testing out the game play case for adding the AIM-9L to the list, but historical accuracy has been our prime objective. There are no other guided A-G weapons available for use. While we originally wanted to implement Walleyes, it wound up being a challenge never attempted. Nuclear weapons are also not available. While the nuclear delivery mission is something I would love to model, it would effectively break the aircraft in multiplayer.

We're in the closing motions. Still a bit of work to be completed 2D side and maybe one or two things for me to work out in the animation department, but this month is looking 99% certain. Stay tuned :)

I honestly have no idea why there's a difference. If anyone knows, please do tell! Speaking of landing patterns, development on the Oriskany continues at a slow but steady pace. With 98% of all my A-4 work complete, I've had some time to get back to modelling. Here's a screen cap of what I've got going on while doing some tests with the model and code. A lot of modelling work still to come, but I'm very happy with it so far. Keep in mind that these are all placeholder textures. The past two years have seen a lot of improvement in my modelling skills and workflow. I was blown away by the Heatblur Forrestal shots, along with the new Stennis model, so I've greatly increased the scope of detail I want to add to this thing. I'll be writing another blog post after the A-4s release, along with starting a new forum thread, which will detail my recent progress and goals of this new project. My current view is that its going to be much more than just this ship, but I'll leave that for another time ;)

November 2018 Update – Are we there yet? November 2018 Update – Are we there yet? So here we are, November 2018. It’s pretty incredible that this may be our final monthly update isn’t it? Nearly three years ago we set out on this journey after a simple conversation over a reddit post. We’ve been through a lot, no doubt, and yet here we are on the cusp of victory. I guess this is the part where we’re supposed to give you some sort of release date, right? For now I can say that mid to late November is our target timeframe and we are very confident about that fact. Why no exact date? Well, the fact of the matter is that we’d still like some flexibility without disappointing anyone. Never fear, we truly hope to see you all flying this around Thanksgiving. This past month we’ve made a lot of progress, and following two marathon streams last weekend, we’re virtually finished the 3d elements, including UV unwrap. This month saw a great deal of final pieces coming together, with our external lights being completed and the internal lights being nearly complete. Plusnine has also been very hard at work creating an original menu theme for us! We'll talk about that more closer to release.
