  1. As many of you have already heard, regular poster, commenter and all around great guy Eric "Gos" Mudama passed away on Friday. It goes without saying that for the Community A-4E team, Gos will be utterly impossible to replace. He was consistently the coal-shoveler that had kept us all working when collective steam ran out, pushed our members to never settle for a first draft and always aimed to do what were capable of. Gos’ coding skills, research, ability to communicate with people in and outside of our team, attention to detail and commitment to historical accuracy have all been instrumental in bringing the A-4 module to life, and his passion for aviation was clearly demonstrated in all aspects of the process. He was also a smart dude, a good friend and respected colleague, and more - far beyond our small corner of aviation enthusiasm. When we release this module, it is safe to say we will find a way to dedicate it to Gos' memory. We've reached out to his family for how we might be best able to harness that energy. The team is still working out the details of how to proceed and will let you know once we know more. For the time being, please take this as our montly update. Eric’s obituary can be found here should you wish to leave a note: http://www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com/book-of-memories/3430105/Mudama-Eric/obituary.php
  2. Gos was was an invaluable part of our team and an incredible mentor. In the two years I worked with him, he was always pushing me to do my best and grow. We will be posting a statement as a team soon. My heart goes out to his family, this is an absolutely tragic loss.
  3. Playing with the Boys As a Holiday "bonus", check out these shots from my Aggressor Training against the vanilla F-14. I even had a former TOPGUN student instructing me throughout! Looking forward to sharing more in the New Year!
  4. Hey all! I figured I'd share with you some of the screenshots I've taken of our A-4 during my recent in-game testing. Last week I downloaded Starway's new "Green Thunder" mod to try to add a sense of immersion, and oh boy is it a match made in heaven! Below are a few selected screenshots (ran through a filter, mind you) that really bring out the best of both of these mods. I also used the VSN F-4E in one of the screenshots. It's quite fun testing out our new systems in a slightly more historical atmosphere! I've been spending some of my time testing trying to recreate historical photos as I go. Perhaps once the external is fully unwrapped we can play a fun game called "Is it a photo, or A-4 mod in DCS" Thanks again for all your support, hope you enjoyed this months update! 5. Well, I did make this last Halloween after thinking about an idea for an "Independence Day" style mod. I'm already busy with A-4 in terms of modelling though, but I think with Nevada and the F/A-18 it would be a great mod. Aliens v. Humans multiplayer? I feel like that could be the "DayZ mod" of DCS in terms of marketing. You'd just have to make sure it's not a copy of actual Independence Day IP ;)
  6. Yes, it is its own separate plane, with a separate keybind/axis section. Hope that helps!
  7. Here are some additional screenshots for your viewing pleasure...
  8. Hello all! I've recently joined the forums the forums (today) so you'll probably see me around. As stated in this and other updates, I do the modelling for the cockpit along with Kryb, as well as other assorted objects. Looking forward to talking with you all. -Merker
