  1. How about all the AAA games that get released on time every year?
  2. What is amusing is that they did announce the Viggen
  3. I am teaching some of my friends to fly the WW2 planes. So the question comes up often: "What are the differences between the 3 planes?" What are the distinct differences between the 3, without going into too much detail? What plane is the fastest, what plane is the best at what altitude and so forth. Can I get some advice on this?
  4. It is not two for the price of one module. The ZA and C are almost the exact same things with slightly different models and some numbers in the code tweaked. If it was indeed 2 completely distinct planes, then ED would charge far higher prices.
  5. After take-off, I turn on my radar (while climbing, still close to the ground) and it appears that it keeps drawing more and more ground clutter and the fps rapidly goes down to 0 and crashes me out of the server. I think its the ground clutter symbols being overdrawn causing it. The same happened when diving for a bomb run. Turned on radar, ground clutter appears and fps dropped. But that time I was able to to turn off the radar a bit sooner and the fps eventually stabilized. DCS 1.5 Virtual Aerobatics public server v1.5.4u7-20161001-025320.trk
  6. Cobras are just anorexic hueys. Mi24 is the sexiest copter and aircraft ever made, if you don't agree, there is something wrong with you.
  7. How about releases that are announced and on time? I don't buy that situation that only either endless delays or completely broken products are the two choices. To get back to the topic. Even the rawest screenshot without textures of anything they do would be great. Anyone who already owns the Mig21, knows this developer delivers quality. And anyone who watched Top Gun will buy the f14 anyway. Even the crappiest screenshots would not damage that. In fact cobra could try as hard as he could to scare off customers and we would still buy his stuff. I never watched Top Gun and I would still buy the F14 on release day, same for that off-brand ghetto Viggen. So that PR strategy of "great stuff around the corner but never" just frustrates excited customers. Just throw out a screen shot every few days. It will not negatively impact your sales. Another interesting possibility. Perhaps LN is being so sparse on info for the other 2 planes because they do not want to interfere with other DCS module sales. It appears to be a PR strategy to only offer concrete release info on one module at a time for ED, which all other module releases only have vague timeframes.
  8. Cobras are just ugly mi24s. With my proprietary Cobra prediction device I will now decipher Cobras message: coming up = vacuum of information until April 2017 fairly = at least 4 months between each newspost. The first 3 news posts won't contain any videos and will not acknowledge anything is delayed. regularly = each news posts will have a bonus delay of 2 months on top of it.
  9. That video is great. I am not wondering why small copters are so twitchy, but why they do not have more stability and dampening to counter it. Because at what point during a flight does a copter need the ability to flip itself on its head. The twitchier it is, the more a pilot has to spend training time getting used to it. Note: I have never flown a real copter, I just wonder why that unnecesarry maneuverability outweighs the disadvantages of it
  10. Just a wild guess, but it could be possible that the ingame aerodynamics code moves the invisible surfaces at a different speed than what is seen. The displayed 3d model is not the one used for collision and aerodynamics.
  11. Did you start it up yourself or start on runway?
  12. Why not have a screenshot of whatever you are currently working on once per week instead of the "bombardment of screenshots all the time but never". It would keep us entertained, and any LN screenshot is a good screenshot because we will all buy it anyway so there is no need to maximize PR value by only showing a screenshot every decade.
  13. Yes, tried it while flying too. Is it working for anyone else?
  14. How accurate is the windsock in DCS? Like, visually. If it is flapping in the wind at nearly 90 degrees from the ground plane, does that equal very strong wind? How fine is the animation stepping for it?
  15. What we should take away from this situation is that bomb collision with the plane is very buggy. Would be great if that could be improved. Now imagine I had not recorded a video, the topic would have gotten buried in "LOL YOU SUCK AT LAUNCH PARAMETERS".
  16. I don't understand why these light helicopters are made to be so twitchy. This is not a complaint about the flight model, but a question about why helicopter manufacturers simply do not pre-stiffen the input (equivalent to adding a control curve or lowering the stick saturation in DCS). Because what is the point of having helicopters that are so twitchy that you can flip them over on take-off? Extra maneuverability? What for? Combat helicopters would not end up in dogfights like a ww2 plane where extreme maneuverability would be useful. They are bomb trucks that precisely move into position and fire their stuff.
  17. After release, there was a small and sudden pitch downwards, causing the negative G spike. Which physically would not make sense. Because if I am in a slight upwards pitch (+0.1 G) then releasing 3 tons of mass from the plane the positive G should increase with the stick in the same position.
  18. There is a small chance that this might happen. In most cases, the bombs would cleanly separate from the pylon. Also any contact with the plane or pylon is at very very very slow relative speed.
  19. I don't accept the bombs floating through my plane and then exploding in front of it and then that being acceptable consequence for unfortunate launch parameters. And don't you think bombs attached to my plane completely failing to properly collide with it is a pretty severe bug in a game that prides itself in aerodynamics and physics? 60% of the topics posts so far have been "LOL YOU SUCK AT LAUNCH PARAMETERS" with the bombs spazzing out being perfectly fine at the same time. If they had proper collision, the plane would not have exploded. And if I had not gone through the trouble of uploading a video (0.5Mbit upload speed), then 100% of the replies would have been "LOL YOU SUCK AT LAUNCH PARAMETERS".
  20. Yes, that whole panel is switched on, except for the red marked aux switch. And self-test works too. But there are never any symbols showing up when on
  21. Well I tried two different methods. 1. The usual ghetto method was to simply turn it ON (not stand-by, but ON directly) even before the electrical systems are on, then it would eventually appear ready after several minutes. 2. Waiting a full 5 minutes in stand-by then switching it on. I only tried method two this week after I noticed the regular method does not work at all. But it won't work either.
  22. It would also be great if forum moderation would be civil towards customers. After all we forked over 40 space credits so we bought ourselves the right to an opinion. And the FM feels too floaty and raily. More specific, the magical banking runaway input.
  23. I like the Mig-15 too. It has a more heavy an elegant feel to it, than the Sabre, which feels a bit to nose-heavy. For joystick, control, I recommend flying all planes and copters with a 25 curvature.
  24. I have not flown it for a few weeks. And using the same procedure it will never switch on for me. The background is bright and lit but no symbols showing up.
  25. What? They actually modeled the right instrument depending on language setting? Ok that is impressive then. I thought they simply hacked the gauge math logic to different numbers.
