  1. twistking's post in Is there a way to set the difficulty via F10 Menue was marked as the answer
Afaik you would need to dive into lua scripting for a different approach...

Select the "cold start" option and it should appear a "uncontrolled" checkbox. Click it and aircraft should remain parked.
You can even activate it with a trigger at a later stage.

it's part of the 2.9.3 update

  4. twistking's post in Need help with "fixed time" waypoint not working for arrival calculations was marked as the answer
This seems to be the problem indeed. Time on Target works flawlessly when aircraft is set to hot start. When cold starting there is a delay added. Presumably from the delay of the CDU booting up. I assume this is a bug!

To open MT with steam version, you cannot start from your DCS folder directly, but you have to use the steam client to start DCS, then select MT from the popup-menu.
There is no other way currently: Steam will always intercept the MT exe and use default binaries, which are - for steam - still ST.
  6. twistking's post in MER 6 was marked as the answer
i was advertising for that option time and time again, but i think the problem is, that there is no evidence that this setup is vaiable. there is a single old picture of an f-5 with an insane amount of mk82 on multiple MERs, but it was mentioned that this was probably just from a taxi-test, as that specific setup looked really unsafe for flight.
If you have other information, please provide those, as i would love to see the hexa-MER on the wing pylons...

ok. tested again and the problem seems to be the Z program. it seems to be used for the quick access programs as i suspected.
using program Y for custom programming works flawlessly.
  8. twistking's post in HTS - triangulated coordinates was marked as the answer
You can always do the markpoint from the AG radar. Like others have said, i think the coordinates on the DED might be sueful for communicating with other units, that are not on the data-link. Or as backup if data-link is not avaialble and you want to give location to wingman etc.
