  1. I perfectly get that the amount of dev-time is limited and people want different things as, sadly, we simply cannot have it all. Still, as upyr1 pointed out: ED is working on the F-35A - which in turn I have very little interest in - and HB is working on a Eurofighter Typhoon.

  2. Since the 'No manual?' thread got merged and conveniently closed, I'll put the question here:

Is the manual being proof-read with surprising tenacity or is it - as said thread recently suggests - running into some trouble in the writing process?

  3. It definitely would be a good choice. As you said: the early models saw combat in WW2, it was rather prominent in the Korean War and the later variants saw some action in Vietnam and Africa.

You could say the rug really tied the room together.

Yes, but that list only works for already placed units. What Kang wishes is in the dropdown where you actually select which unit to place to have a distinction so you don't have to jump between two windows. I certainly support this.

    That's what I meant, yes.

I do not find it amusing when I spend time carefully placing things in a mission only to later find out that I can't share it people freely because at some point I used something form an asset pack. It isn't always obvious, and it's definitely going to get harder when there are more asset packs around.

I’ve seen this wish several times before, but not once have I seen how do they propose to keep the company afloat during that year.

Selling a lot of the modules that are actually released and would become a whole lot less annoying to use, I presume.

I know that probably doesn't work out, but it is no secret that the enormous backlog of errors is only getting bigger and bigger, and it sure hampers DCS' progress and in turn sales. Now, I'd say that ED isn't exactly a prime example of being geniuses at running a business either, but to be honest - they might have us morons figured out just right and manage to just scrape by despite the releases to - as you said - stay afloat during the year, coming ever quicker and - some people say - being less and less impressive.

  6. Frankly, the whole reputation of the Starfighter in Germany was decidedly blown out of proportion by a contemporary media campaign and the concurrent bribery scandal. Once it had that reputation there was nothing to be done to change it again.

A lot of it had to do less with the F-104G or its mission profiles and more with the Luftwaffe itself.

  7. If it were only the mission creators...

No, seriously, I agree there are about three or four aircraft carriers worth of gross register tonnes of things that ended up 'on the backlog' for who knows how long. Literal bugs of things not working, plenty of issues of things kinda working but definitely not right and a plethora of things that weren't exactly cutting edge back then but are frankly hideous design choices today.

But I think we all know what ED's reply is going to be. 'It's complicated and takes time', 'We don't have time to work on it because there are so many other things that need doing' and the classic 'provide a track!'.

    P.S.:
While I'm sure someone will kindly point out how I am not a software developer and thus have no idea about that, it isn't made better by the fact that a lot of these things (mind you definitely not all) are pretty much copy/paste jobs for an afternoon, which we know, because community members, past and present, have provided these fixes in mods previously.

I never made any complex mission, so ain't sure if that is even possible when you are making a campaign. Maybe waypoints are needed? This screen is from mission 6 or 7 of the Outpost Campaign.

Anyway, that would not be a solution but rather avoiding the problem.

I see. I thought it was a mission you made yourself. Can't really change it then.

It’s hands written! A pilot could write as small as they want!!!!

Well, to an extend. I doubt many Soviet pilots carried microfiche writing equipment with them.

Warthunder???? lol, if I was a pilot drawing on my map o surely wouldn’t write instructions for different legs on top of each other making it impossible to read!!!!!!!!!

That is definitely a point. If ED was to take care of this at all (I doubt they will) a very walkable way would be to just suppress the markings for legs that are too short.
