300 Squadron is seeking MiG-29 pilots for a newly formed virtual squadron Squadron is US based, with east coast times. Considered a "milsim lite" squadron, we offer missions, campaigns, and training - Including GCI, as we believe it is necessary to unlock the full potential of the module. The squadron is a work in progress but we currently have a private dedicated server, and custom squadron liveries. Squadron rules: -Must be 18+ -Must be fluent in English -Must own DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum Discord: "300 SQUADRON" https://discord.gg/zmZFKstXSU

Please be patient as this virtual squadron is a work in progress. https://discord.gg/zmZFKstXSU

I would be cool if we had something of an option to use custom files to replace the default "Rita" VIWAS. Apparently it was something local units would do. Maybe I'll get my wife to record the aural warnings in her sexiest Russian accent

FWIW...Just a little morsel of trend data in regards to a release date: The CH-47 was available for preorder in April of last year, released in August, Apache preorders stared in October of 2021, and released in March 2022, The Hind was March 2021 with a release in June of that year, And the F-16 was available for preorder July 2019, released in October. For all of these modules the span from pre-order to release was about 3-5 months. I expect no different for the Fulcrum. So I would keep the pitchforks stowed until November.

I have a notebook with some scribblings for a Fulcrum base virtual squadron. Concept was not unit or nation specific, allowing for a vast variety of scenarios across all maps. Milsim adjacent, no ranks but a focus on procedures. I even thought of assigning airframes and tracking hours for wear and tear, and liveries for the jets reflecting that - The more time on aircraft, the more weathered the jet. I wasn't sure if there would be interest for the FC3 jet, so I shelved the idea. Now with the FF coming along I may revisit it.

I believe more fact than fiction. Although not official, there are multiple reports and articles from witnesses around the Nellis ranges of Flankers and Fulcrums operating out of Groom lake - Allegedly a continuation of Constant Peg, but under a new classified program. and IIRC German AF MiGs participated in a number of Red Flags acting as aggressors.

True. Hopefully its on the list. It would be a nice little immersion item. IIRC you could hear them chatter in the cockpit as well.

Considering past "high profile" (for lack of a better term) modules have taken well over 12 months to release from their announcement, a 2024 release of the Fulcrum would be highly optimistic.

I would like to see some way of programing waypoints on the ground via the nav computer, maybe with some kind of popup window? At the very least we should be able to edit navigation points on the ground in the kneeboard or something. Thoughts?

At certain airspeeds and power settings the upper intake louvers will flutter with the airflow. Would be nice to see that modeled.
