  1. One question about mavericks. Plz keep in mind that I dont have a10c (I'll be getting it in a week) and have read the manual quite a bit and have watched many tutorial videos. My question is about this video: So at 2:30, the maverick was locked on. At 2:47 at 2:53 and at 2:58 the other mavericks lock on. The only difference is that at 2:30 with the first mav, the horizontal and vertical lines on the screen don't intersect to make a cross. But with the other 3, you get a cross on the screen...why is that? Thanks
  2. I'm going to be getting my new PC in about a week or so thx to cichlidfan. I've read the manual quite a bit and watched lots of tutorials. My question is: Where do I start? There's so many parts to this plane that it's overwhelming. I've come up with a list of things to learn, but what should I add to it? Start-Up Weapon Employment Radios CDU/Navigation Visual Landing ILS TACAN Shut-Down
  3. Wait, think I answered my own question. Someone tell me if I am right. When you select an Airfield from the CDU Divert page, the Airfield becomes your current steerpoint. And if it's your current steerpoint the top left corner of the HSI will show you the number of miles. Is this correct?
  4. So let's say I wanna land at an airfield. It's a clear day so there's no need for TACAN or ILS. I call "Inbound" on the tower and he replies with something like this: "Your callsign, the airport name, fly heading 256 for 12" So basically he's giving you a vector to get lined up with the runway so you can land. So I turn to heading 256 and start flying in that direction. But how do I know when the 12 miles are up? In other words, how do I know when to turn in so that I'm facing the runway? Would it be an indication on the HSI? Would the tower tell me when that 12 miles is up? Or would I have to look at the F12 Map to see if I'm lined up? Thanks:helpsmilie:
  5. I'm a new player, dont have A10C yet but have read the manual quite a bit. My question is: What is the purpose of the course arrow on the HSI and when should it be used? I know that if you are doing an ILS landing on say, runway 31, then your course arrow should be set to 310. But what is the point of this? Do I need to adjust the course arrow every time I switch steerpoints?
  6. Does anyone here use a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for the A10C? If any of you do, do you have any suggestions on how to set up my keybinds, keeping in mind that my one HAT switch is for view as I do not have a TrackIR...

  10. That's just the thing guys. It's a catch 22 situation. Right now, I have the time to play but not the money. I want to become a doctor, and eventually I'll have the money to play but not the time. Doubt I'll have time in college or med school either
  11. lol no chance of that....will have to wait till i have a job
  12. I really want to buy DCS:A10C (I have general knowledge of its systems and how to use it), but I'm only 15 and don't have a job (duh) so I have to suffice with playing LOMAC Flaming Cliffs 2 on a really bad PC with a 6 year old GPU. Is this game going to be obsolete in like the next 10 years?
