Pattern work, as in practicing the Pattern for the Airfield. We do patterns how the U.S Navy does them, and a lot of our new guys aren't familiarized on the Navy styled pattern. So that's what I mean by "Pattern Work"

Yes we will be doing Ground Courses for both the F/A-18 and F-14 while we are waiting. But importantly as we are waiting, we are covering important material, such as the pattern work and radio comms with training aircraft such as the F-5 (While we are waiting for both F/A-18 and F-14)

I thought I read somewhere that the F-14 will be fully capable with Simple Radio, and have ICS utilized . Can be wrong though.

Today we are happy to announce the warm welcoming of our F-14 Fleet Replacement Squadron, VF-101 "Grim Reapers" to our Organization! Although VF-101 is not directly under the chain of command of CVW-8, or at all affiliated with CVW-8, VF-101 will be its own separate entity to train new F-14 Crews for CVW-8! All Instructor pilots will be picked from CVW-8. Asides from training new F-14 crews, VF-101 will be doing the F-14 Tomcat Tactical Demonstration on behalf of Carrier Air Wing Eight! https://www.cvw-8.org/vf101

I would buy the F-14D if it were sold as a separate aircraft. Like you said, the Super Tomcat is an entire digital upgrade from the A/B. So I wouldn't mind paying for those Digital Upgrades and APG-71 :)

I think adding the F-14D after the release of the A/B would be incredible. A Modernized F-14 (Either F-14B w/ Sparrowhawk or D) is something I personally would love to see in DCS soon!

Its getting hard for me to play DCS with my FPS dipping to 20 at some places. Before I was easily doing 100 FPS but this memory leak is killin me! Just curious to know when and if the memory leak will be fixed.
