wow. This would be an insta buy for me. But 4 engine would be better as then DCS would have a niche none of the other sims have at all now. 4 engine bombers.

Just saw the news and have friends asking me what flight models are attached to what aircraft in both flaming cliffs and DCS modules. So they can weigh up what high fidelity models they are missing out on with the new modern air combat module. I assume that flaming cliffs 3 will be redundant and the modern air combat modules will be the same fidelity as FC3?

How much video ram do you have on your 980? I have a 970gtx but think its only got 2 or 4 gig of ram. Have to check when I get home.

I have seen it suggested in a few places that 1.5.5 already has much of 2.0s new graphical features and would like it confirmed if possible here.

I am fairly new but thought realism and accurate modelling were the cornerstone of the DCS simulator series. Do ED in fact nerf things? Or is everything as accurate as possible? Or do they nerf things where hard data is in dispute? I would have thought if things were OP that mission or server admins would just place restrictions on armament or adjust the odds... for instance the F14 being outnumbered or some back story about it not being allowed it's phoenix. Same as the Eagle is not dumbed down against the su-27 as far as I am aware.
