Thank you so much for that Yurgon, I will try to reproduce it, and try your suggestions and get back....it will be a few hours, busy right now.:)
-
Thank you so much, I will check them out, your English is fine, no problem! ;-)
-
Thanks Padonis! You mean ground stabilized? What is SOI when you TMS forward short? I will have a play!
-
While attempting to get MAV to cycle with the UFC I got it to work somehow but of course after showing the 1st missile, you must leave MAV as SOI to China hat long, then must enter MAV as SOI again to fire. Not possible to fire multiple mavs using markpoints while retaining MAV as SOI.
-
Thanx Ok well I tried it without the overlay It seemed to work, but seems clumsy switching SOI between hud na mav to fire missile and back to hud! How do you target multiple targets, each individually, or using markpoints?
-
Thanx Ok, I'll give it a try!
-
Is the link working for everyone now?
-
I see the error too, dont know why now but link below should work. Trying new link This link seems to work form me, and I'm no longer logged into Youtube.
-
Overlay at top shows what I'm doing. Just want to move from MP to MP and fire a missile. Using the Youtube video link not working, so just pasted link!
-
Just uploaded will check availability. Will change access on Youtube. Was set to those with link, now public!

Created three markpoints, TGP can cycle them from the UFC, now I want to cycle with the MAV seeker head, but china hat forward long not slaving MAV, and cant cycle the markpoints from the UFC with MAV soi. The buttons at the top show what I'm doing.

HUD Maybe this will help

Noob Youtube video demonstrates the dynamic nature of the HUD symbology depending on the sensor of interest and whether or not it is within the HUD field of view (fov) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYLhz9t_z3Q&lc=UgzbfRoD4hMMJAPu0wl4AaABAg Note: a recent bug in DCS 2.5X may prevent the SPI marker info from being displayed when the SPI is out of the HUD field of view. In 2.5 it displays sometimes depending on where the SPI marker is. The video made in DCS 1.5. Assumes basics SOI sensor of interest TAD tactical display TGP targeting pod HUD heads up display TVV total velocity vector where the plane will fly to if continues on course FOV -field of view SPI Sensor of interest- has tail that points towards TVV if within HUD FOV or to SPI from TVV if SPI is out of HUD FOV tadpole - point to waypoint or steer point Zoom out to see SPI marker clamped to edge using Right Shift + Right Control + either the asterisk * or minus - key on keypad.

Thanx randomTOTEN, this makes perfect sense! :) I'm impressed with the hidden level of detail in this simulation.

How can I get the HUD while not looking at a snap view, be set so I dont have to Right Control + Right SHift + and plus and minus in order to see the the clamped SPI marker. This is particularly a problem since when you start you dont knwo how wide the HUD needs to be to see the SPI marker info, so it cant be adjusted until a SPI is out of field of view to clamp to the side of HUD, now can adjust with Right Control + Right SHift + and plus and minus.
-
No SPI info It appears there is an invisible circle by the look of the 20 in the bottom right (see below), that only partially displays, any info outside of this area is not displayed.
-
This smells like a bug to me! https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=271262

Sorry but moving the point of view wont make the missing information display. Sorry but moving the point of view wont make the missing information display. See pic below. The vector tail on the TVV says the SPI is out of the field of view, but the information that is supposed to be slave to the edge of the HUD doesn't display. BUG?

Was trying to make a video, of the A10 HUD when I noticed the SPI marker that is slaved to the edge of the screen was not there! After right shift + right CTRL + * and - I could see it, if its at the top of the HUD, and even then its still only partially visible. Every time I start DCS do I have to make these adjustments? I dont remember having to do this.

I want to display my HUD on monitor 2. I presume that I need to edit the monitor lua file but dont know the name of the HUD. Would I also have to edit an init_xxx lua file somewhere? Anyone know how to do this?

Is OpenBeta version a necessity for RWR on F16?
-
:) Yeah that would be great!
-
Thanx LeCuvier! What you said makes perfect sense, but still no joy, I just noticed your path is OpenBeta mine isnt! Hmmmm! Yeah Found the file added: "Dofile(LockOn_Options.common_script_path.."ViewportHandling.lua") try_find_assigned_viewport("F16_RWR")" at the line at the very end of C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\F-16C\Cockpit\Scripts\EWS\RWR\indicator\RWR_ALR56_init.lua but no joy! :noexpression:
