I think you will find this is due to low bw clients joining high bw servers with lotsa players. When they chaff and flare they warp from the packet loss trying to transpit extra data over the internet. This I can understand but when they try to tell you they dont warp and its their skill it can be slightly annoying.

I have told Vosxod he is welcome back in the server. However I still believe that "probably unknowingly" Vosxod fired AE's. There were many, many entries of EA's fired by Vosxod as well as ER's. Interestingly they didnt hit targets which concurs with the 1G Rule. Demanding an apology in the manner that was pm'd to me is going to rub anyone the wrong way. My advice to everyone if they dont want to be made a pinup is check your loads before flying. It is possible that someone else loaded AE's and Vosxod took his aircraft.

here is why. We have to live with this. Although GG did promise to give us a tutorial on how to limit loads in mulitplayer. He says its an easy fix.

I can only speak for multiplayer environments. My single player experience is next to NIL.

Your information is incorrect. One of the first things I did when I installed the patch.. During the MiniWar mission I host with E2C AWACS, it was easy to see aircraft dropping off RADAR when going low in the Caucuses ranges. AWACS are now limited by line of site.

We get a few more cases like this and it will be on the cards. Pilots egos arent enough if it means saving lives or stopping an aircraft from slamming into the white house.

It could also be a great weapon against terorists. Forcing the aircraft to land. Would have to rethink the override option. Inputting a code that the pilots dont know could work. It would have to be requested over the radio.

There's been a few of these incidents over the last few years. i wonder how difficult or expensive it would be to have some sort of remote autopilot landing activation system or ("RALAS", hehe I'll patent it)that could be transmitted by a control tower. For example a modern day jetliner can land itself if it needs to but needs someone onboard to intiate it. What if a Control tower with the right activation codes being able to initiate an autopilot to land at an airfield. If someone is capable onboard the plane they could override it. But if all unconcious then it could save hundreds of lives.

With all the things that should have stopped this catastrophe from happening. Isn't it conceivable that something else went wrong that wasnt the fault of the pilots? There is something missing. Has to be.

Here is a direct Copy and paste of our graphics.cfg file. The only manual alteration is the screen size (800x600) The only other difference might be that we choose to use high scenes and traffic on. If you rename your low Scenes file to the high scenes file you can have low scenes. Its just we prefer to see the trees in the mountains.

I had a laugh. Tech support being outsourced to India is becomming all to common. It is also a backward step for record profit taking conglomerates who will eventually regret this move. Customers turn away in their droves. Especialy with the Identity theft that is rampant in these areas.

I think we can all agree that this problem has been dealt with very poorly. I am very disappointed that there seems to be a lack of understanding of the implications to the multiplayer community. I am also very disappointed that requests for classification bug to be fixed have been ignored. I will put up with the problem(s) and am confident something will be done in upcoming patches or addons.

I left it unsaid expecting the problem to be fixed for 2 patches. It seemed the devs didnt hear the quiet messages. My reasoning is it needs to be LOUDER

My understanding is that if i classify my mission I've stopped the load editing guys from coming in with missiles that arent realistic. EG. aim 54's on su33's etc. Before 1.1 this was a common occurence. since 1.1, I dont recall a single case. The other valid problem is hosting limited loads like heaters only or guns. Having noobs or vandals coming in with the wrong load can wreck a really good fun session.

And what about when you pay $100US a month plus hardware to host a public server?

Leaving Janes' F18 abandoned. With next to no one flying it anymore. What a sad demise for such a great sim. No.

Effectively now we have a situation where You CANNOT CHEAT against YOURSELF in a campaign. But you CAN CHEAT against OTHERS in the online community. But you can still cheat against yourself if you use the hotkey to declassify the mission.
