I'm not running in debug mode any longer … reinstalled VoiceAttack and Viacom Pro and still get the "UNABLE TO ACCESS COMMAND, COMMAND NOT AVAILABLE (Chatter)" notification in the notification window... Chatter is in the VIACOMPRO/Extensions folder in the Voice-Attack Apps folder... However, I don't see it in the Extensions Packs folder in the application in the "Edit a Profile" window within Voice-Attack.

Thanks for your comment... but this is happening to all my missions on this computer... I have two computers and DCS and mission editor on the other computer are functioning normally. I did reload the entire game (Uninstall then a reload) and the problem persists. I believe something on my affected computer is interfering with normal mission editor operation. I do agree that it is not seeing clients... whose start times are all controlled either by the Overall Mission start time or a delay planned using various triggers.

[REPORTED]AUTO not going back to CCIP after WPT undesignate
Bonz replied to Denver29's topic in Bugs and Problems
I too have this issue... The Stores page changes from CCIP to AUTO when the waypoint is designated as a target. -
I updated to the latest Beta version (404). I was unable to enter any of my single player missions from the Mission Editor (ME). I could enter ME, make changes to a mission and save them... then when I tried to play that mission, instead of taking me to the Role Selection screen, it takes me into the game in an observer role... the game is paused and I have to hit the PAUSE button on the keyboard to get it moving... then when I hit ESC to bring up the menu for Role Selection, that item, role selection, is not in the list. A similar behavior exists for multiplayer when I start the game on my personal server, except that when I hit the ESC button, the menu that pops up does include the Role Selection item and I’m able to play the game. I decided to reinstall the game to correct this behavior... So I uninstalled the game and all its components. Unfortunately, I was unable to install the game. the DCS Installer kept stalling after about 2 or 3 minutes into each download attempt. I had to enter SAFE MODE in windows 10 before I was able to install the game. The reinstall did not correct my original problem of not being able to enter a mission directly from ME.

My anti-virus is the same anti-virus I’ve had on this computer from the beginning. It has worked fine through many DCS Updates... Something in this update is different and prevents DCS Installer from working properly...

I need help with a Viacom Pro Issue. In the Recognition Log ... I get the following notification every time I key my mic to make an input to Voice Attack. [YELLOW SQUARE] UNABLE TO ACCESS COMMAND. COMMAND NOT AVAILABLE (Chatter). It doesn’t seem to interfere with operation, that I know of, but is very annoying. I do own Chatter with a current license. However, I have it turned off. Chatter is in the Extensions folder within the APPs folder in the Voice Attack Directory. Why do I keep seeing this notice? How can I get it to stop? The notices leading up to this one may help understand: [bLACK SQUARE] Building master labels table... [bLACK SQUARE] Success [bLACK SQUARE] No new DCS modules to import. [bLACK SQUARE] Adding theme pack collections. [bLACK SQUARE] Chatter theme set to Default. [bLACK SQUARE] Adding Chatter resources.. Default [bLACK SQUARE] Resources added. [bLACK SQUARE] Chatter initialized. [YELLOW SQUARE] UNABLE TO ACCESS COMMAND. COMMAND NOT AVAILABLE (Chatter) [bLUE SQUARE] Listening suspended [bLACK SQUARE] Startup finished. [MAROON SQUARE] Ready for commands. [bLUE SQUARE] Plugin ‘VIACOM PRO 2.5 initialized. Bonz

Will Viacom be updated with and for the new carrier module?

OK... progress. RED I noticed in your miz you turned the POD on prior to launch... I was always waiting until after launch... So I tried your method and it worked... the POD is now designating the Target. Not sure why that is, but you should refly your mission only turn the POD switch ON only after you launch... see what that does?

The Problem: Trying to drop GBU-12 LGBs from the F-18C using self designate... The TDC Depress function to designate the Target doesn't work... No Diamond or ASL on the HUD... This happens when I spawn on the Stennis, However, if I spawn to Al Dhafra the TDC Depress function does designate the Target... I get the Diamond and the ASL on the HUD. Loadout used: 2 GBU-12s on Stations 2&8, 1 GBU-12 on Stations 3&7), I used Hot and Cold Starts and Pre-Spawn weapon load and post-spawn weapon load scenarios. Here is my switchology... Once Airborne... with normal checklists complete. 1. FLIR-ON, 2. A2G Mode selected, 3. Weapon Selected, 4. Auto Mode Selected, 5. MFUZ - OFF, 6. EFUZ - Inst, 7. Weapon CODE - Entered (I tried 1688 and 1747 at different times), 8. FLIR on Right DDI - Selected (usually not yet cooled down), 9. Quantity and Spacing selected (6-2-100 feet), 10. Once the POD cooled and operational - Sensor Selected to Right DDI, 11. Using TDC, FOV, and Zoom I pointed POD at Target. 12. On Sensor Panel right console I ARMED the Laser... L-ARM indicated on Right DDI, 13. Laser code for POD - Matched to Weapon. 14. TDC - Depress... this is where the problem occurs... If I spawned from Al Dhafra the Diamond and ASL (Azimuth Steering Line) would be visible on the HUD, I could then select TRIG and MASTER ARM and watch the countdown to release on the HUD... with 4 seconds to go the release cue started marching down and I would hold the Weapons Release Button to get the drop. Post release I pulled the trigger and got the Laser fire indication on the DDI. If I spawned from Stennis I got nothing... No Diamond, No ASL, and so couldn't go further with the drop. Help.

I have the IFOLS working but too Bright The IFOLS seems to work but the lighting for it is too bright. I'm not VR so I suspect that for VR users it' impossible to see any fine definition. For me, I can just barely see definition at about 1/4 mile... At 3/4 of a mile the meatball is too dim compared to the surrounding datum lights. Then at 1/2 to 1/4 mile it appears that all lights including Meatball and Datum are too bright... It's possible that if the Datum lights were turned down a bit that the Meatball would have greater definition... The Stennis meatball is the best I've seen so far. Using it as a model for brightness levels would seem a good way forward. There also seems to be a range function involved... The meatball doesn't seem to be visible beyond a certain distance... possibly 1nm to 3/4 of a mile. Also, the lights cut out all together just before touchdown...

Field Carrier Landing Mirror It would be nice to have a functional FLOLS or IFLOLS. The Fresnel Lens that is used by the carrier Navy. The acronym stands for Fresnel Lens Optical Landing System or the Improved Fresnel Lens Optical Landing System.

Field Carrier LENS I'd like to see a Fresnel Lens (Portable) that is used at airfield for FCLP practice. That's Field Carrier Landing Practice... Should have a 3 degree glide slope projected like at the ship... :smilewink:

I've been loading up with GBU-31s lately... since release and I've noticed that my gross weight indication was much lower than expected. Figuring that zero fuel weight is about 26,090 pounds... add in 10,800 pounds of internal fuel... two 9x and two 120c's plus the four GBU-31s my Gross weight should be about 45,940 pounds... but on the DDI Checklist page the gross weight reads... 40,100 pounds plus or minus a few.

I'm now hosting folks on my own server... If I choose to fly multiplayer with a two seater aircraft... the what's been said above is true... you need to buy both another aircraft key and another terrain module if other than the Caucuses... which is free. And yes... you will need separate accounts, but those are free and comes with the Caucuses plus a few aircraft. I purchased two C-101s … good as a Trainer... Can't fly the F-14 from the back but good as a graduation present.

I'm sure you've seen this and maybe have a good solution... I hope. I'm trying to make a video and I've learned that you should fly the mission, find the track file made from the mission you flew and then record scenes from the .trk file and not the original mission. Great. However, the track file often gets "OFF Track". they start doing there own thing and usually end up crashing. I think I noticed that this happens when you leave and come back to the Cockpit view... It's like the track file thinks you what to take over flying the aircraft and just quits... First, is my observation correct? Second, if so, is there a way to prevent the AI from abandoning control when you reenter the cockpit? Three, if all of the above is hooie… then, what is the cause and how do I prevent it.

That did it thanks...

I changed my setup to view the game on more than I screen. What I got … During game startup the DC World Icon flashes as normal and then my center screen goes Black and stays that way... It still functional... meaning I can see the mouse and move it around, but no main DCS menu page. My two other screens seem normal. How do I return to 1 screen so that I can at least get back to normal... As is, every time I try to start the game it goes to black and I end up having the Kill it in the Task menu. Help?

Keep in mind a target airspeed for 8.1 AOA (Optimum) with gear down and full flaps... This target airspeed is based on Gross Weight (Your current Gross Weight is listed on the Checklist page of your DDI). There is also a Max trap Gross Weight... 33,000 pounds unrestricted... which equates to approximately 6,700 pounds of fuel with wingtip missiles and pylons. At Max Trap Gross weight your optimum (8.1 AOA) airspeed is about 137 knots... As you burn gas your airspeed is reduced at about 2-3 knots per 1000 pounds of fuel burned. You will find that it's necessary to carry a few extra knots in the turn to final to maintain optimum AOA... so as you roll out on final (All else being equal) you should expect a slight power reduction to maintain Optimum... then on final maintain attitude and use power to control glideslope (the Ball centered)... One last note... the first 90 of turn on final should be on instruments. Make sure you start your turn just as you pass the abeam position. Good luck and have fun.

It's been well over 30 years since I did this for real (A-7E) but as I recall even in real life the ball was borderline visible at a mile... I remember seeing the ball and was just able to discern where it was relative to the datum... Real obvious if red. I also remember that how I was doing on my setup (On speed, on altitude at the 180, 450AGL and on speed at the 90), pretty much told me where to expect to find the ball.

DCS Won't start after Win 10 1803 Update
Bonz replied to Bonz's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Ticket # 75322 - DCS Won't load with AV-8B Module included. I did ask DCS for help and they told me to contact RAZBAM... since they don't support third party products... Even though I purchased every product the DCS runs. -
DCS Won't start after Win 10 1803 Update
Bonz replied to Bonz's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Another total reload of DCS... I loaded PG map, started DCS... it started. Loaded AV-8B, no start. Same log file as before... it seems the problem file is the AV8B_CPT.dll file located in Mods/aircraft/AV8BNA\bin\AV8B_CPT.dll.crypt. Two things … Why are some slants facing backwards and some forward? Never noticed that before... Is that normal? and What's in that file, can I just delete it or will I make things worse... Can you send me a clean copy of that folder? Will that work?... Maybe the directory would be better... Although that doesn't make much sense since I've already reloaded DCS twice maybe something is contaminating the file? Help Bonz... -
I loved flying the A-7E... from Kitty Hawk. Hopefully you get to it soon... I'm not getting any younger. I'd love to help in the development, if you are in need of a Former A-7E dude. Last time I flew it was in the mid-80's
