If I uninstall Can I delete the old Folder? or does the reload use some files from that old install?

Changed the AV-8B folder name to BAK-xxx and the game started... however, now I tried to enter mission editor with a new mission using the PG map and the game froze about 2-3 second later and had to restart... actually killed with Task Manager.

the cleanup process reloaded the AV-8B... and now DCS won't start again.

So How do I get that Module back and still run the game? Whoops, forgot to run cleanup and repair... just did that … Rat's now it won't load again!

I would but I can't get in? Is there another way of removing it, if you can't start the game? I went in the main folder and under MODS/Aircraft moved the AV-8B out to my desktop... Now the game starts... and on the Main Menu Page the Module Manager is indicating that I have one module to download... However, It doesn't show me what it is and so I can't download it?

My computer has shut down on my 3 times today... Just updated to latest version of DCS open-beta with PG map. I'm including the Log... Please help... My system should not be overheating, My use was not demanding in any way. Bonz...

I had the standard version of DCS... Was obviously unable to update to Newest Open Beta version with PG map. Also I needed to Update Windows 10 to 1803. Performed the Windows update first... That complete, I began downloading and installing a complete version of the Open Beta version of DCS... successfully completed. I opened the program and it showed I needed to "reload" all my modules and Included the PG map in that list. I clicked OK to begin the reinstallation of my modules (All) and the new installation of the PG map. It seemed to go OK and after this finished, I logged in restarting the program. About a minute into the install DCS stopped. and nothing further happened. I stopped the process using Task Manager and tried again. The same thing happened. I observed the whole process using Process Lasso. What is causing this....?

Problems Running Kneeboard Builder A week ago I had a working version of Kneeboard Builder. It was functioning for both single player and Multi-player activity. Then I had a significant problem with my system, unknown cause, that ultimately required a reload of Windows 10... That performed (actually a reset) I began reloading programs including Kneeboard builder. I initially used the downloaded version that was still on my computer... that didn't work... It seemed to install OK, but when I attempted to run it... the initial ICON started OK but stayed there with nothing further... It seemed stalled or stuck. so I uninstalled that version and downloaded a fresh copy... newest version from Kneeboard website (on 21 May). After installing I started it up and it stalled out exactly like the previous copy/version. Is this just my system or was there a larger problem? Can you help? Bonz...

Recognition but No Action This product is great when it works, I've been there. I'm now trying to use it with Easy Communications set to OFF. I'm also using it with SRS on a server. What I'm getting is... My voice is recognized but no action is taken... However, if I use the menu then action is taken. I suspect there is a setting I have wrong, I've switched between Easy Communications OFF to ON and back again to OFF. I prefer OFF because I want to select the radio and frequency myself. Is there something about the Scripts .lua file within DCS that may be causing this??? It sounds like I'm not alone... some comfort. I suspect that the problem lies in the update process, either by DCS, Windows or possibly even Vaicom/Voiceattack. However, I'm hopeing it's a simple error that I've made. Is the program working for anyone with the latest updates from all three parties? Bonz...

I'm wondering if there is a mod for the BDU-33 practice bomb that reduces the amount and duration of the generated smoke upon impact? Currently when I drop the BDU-33 I get significant smoke for several minutes. If I attempt to drop several of these bombs on a Raked target (where these are often used) which is a target that can be scored and a circular error determined (Average CEP) it's difficult to see follow-on hits. Having so much smoke obscures visibility. What would be better is to leave a small mark, visible from above that could be used to determine bearing and range from the center of the raked circular target. It would make these BDU-33s more usable in the game. Bonz...

This thread is addressed to anyone who flies in the dual cockpit aircraft... C-101 Hawk L-39 or any others that I'm not aware of... When manned by two folks on a multiplayer site how is aircraft control transferred from one cockpit to the other. What are the limitations if any. Is this control PULL only or PUSH and PULL. In the C-101 I know that when only one person is in the aircraft he/she can swap cockpits. Does that same SWITCH switch aircraft control when both seats are occupied? Bonz...

I have a home network with two computers. I would like to log into the same DCS host server with two user names from the same DCS account. 1. Is this possible 2. If not, will opening a second DCS account on one of my computers allow me to log into the same DCS multiplayer server from the same local network? Bonz

Problem with Audio Output SRS works fine when using a plug in Headset. When I try using my wireless SteelSeries 840 Headset it gives me the following error message when I try to connect to the server. "Problem initializing Audio Output! I believe it was at a convention in Las Vegas last year that I first became aware of this stick. I think it was introduced as a new product to complement the new F-18C being produced by ED for DCS. I think with was suppose to work with HOTAS Warthog as a swap-out stick. Haven't heard a thing about it since! ... Nor can I find anything on TM's website. I guess that should tell me something, but I thought I'd ask if anyone has more information? Bonz

I have noticed a difference in ground handling since 2.5. I flew it early, about five or six month ago... maybe more. Long before 2.5 come out. Ground handling worked OK then ... a little touchy but everything seemed to work. Having flown the real F-5E with the Navy, I was interested to see how it compares. Most everything is good except some aspects of ground handling. 1. I don't recall that it took so much throttle to get moving. Not a big deal 2. When I first tried it I bound the brakes to Axis and they seemed to work OK, maybe a bit touchy (Probably my binding). 3. I then started flying several other aircraft and did not fly the F-5E for several months... through the transition to 2.5 and started again only a few days ago. The brakes have not worked at all. I can't seem to get them to bind to the Axis. I've tried several different times, still no luck. I posted a note in ED forums... don't remember where! I was told that it was most likely the Standard Flight Model. I can't image that's the problem... I had them working prior to 2.5. Still looking for help. It turns out my earlier post was on the C101 not the F-5E, but the write-up still applies. However, it may be some setting I have that's changed. Both the earlier C-101 write-up and this current write-up on the F-5E brakes are valid and essentially the same write up... just on different aircraft.

More important than the carrier box would be the Mobile Lens system. Navy Pilots call FCLP sessions "Bounce Periods". At Night all Navy Pilots get, or need, is the lighted "Carrier" centerline, i.e. no box. Any provider... Third party or ED... doesn't matter to me. This capability would add greatly to the overall product. Bounce periods were a major part of Navy Carrier life... at least stateside Bonz...

I'm a former A-7E Driver and F-5E Adversary who flew against the F-18C on many occasions. I left the Navy after 12 years and missed my opportunity to fly the Hornet. I'm really looking forward to this! Thanks for all the hard work ED.

Are folks using a keyed button to brake the aircraft or just pulling the emergency brake at the end of the landing roll? I can switch to the back seat and fly the aircraft... Is in possible currently for someone else to jump in the backseat and fly? If so how? Bonz...

The story went off track a bit. I'm not getting any braking when I apply pressure to the rudder pedal toes. I've tried it selecting Invert, and then Slider then both together and then neither. I've tried using Saturation in both X and Y. I've created a large Dead Zone and no Dead Zone. Nothing works. I have several other DCS aircraft and they all work as advertised. It's just the C-101 that doesn't. Does anyone have this working? Or is it just me? I looked using buttons rather than axis. Those two items are not selectable for any of my controllers. Two Rigs (CH Products Pro Rudders and TM Warthog Rudders). Any help is appreciated. Bonz

OK... I have my brakes set up via Axis. They don't work to any noticeable extent. I have two rigs one uses CH Product Rudders and the other uses TM Warthog rudders... both barely make the brakes function. no noticeable effect. Bonz...

Is there a problem with the Brakes in C-101? I keyed them to my pedals (Axis) and they don't seem to work. Is there a setting somewhere I need to address? Bonz
