I loaded several Aim 9x missiles and did a quick mission. In game I armed, set to AA, loaded the 9xs and turned the HMD dial cw all the way. However, no HMD appears when I move my head. I have tried it with and without tracker but nothing appears. I went into the HMD page and made sure that normal included the standard items that appear in the HMD. My graphic setting are generally set to medium. What am I doing wrong? Also, I noticed no key or axis commands are listed for the HMD and that two that I tried from other posts did not work for me. Not a good DCS day. However, I did get the mavericks to work nicely.

I cannot seem to find the keyboard items for these 2 commands in my revised keyboard default lua after making the above changes. What am I doing wrong?

When I have MK 82 loaded and trying to bomb a target, I see a line in the HUD with the letters DE. What is that?

My fellow flyer and I are trying to set up our own DCS server, but no matter what we do, including following the above, we still have the game paused when started. We want the game to start "unpaused", but seem to be unable to do so. Any thoughts?

PS: I am using your suggested programs but changed #5 and added program 6 to the change list but used 10 reps and not 20 reps.

"To change the AFT program use the 'STEP' button on the EW MFD to select programs 1 through 5." But how does the Hotas know that AFT is now program 2 and not 1?

Maybe the game is dulling my mind. Could someone give me a step by step example of changing default 1 to say default 3.

On page 161 of Chuck's guide on countermeasures-chaff and flares, it states: You can modify which program is used by either AFT or FWD Dispense by clicking on the STEP OSB. I am not sure how this works if you want the AFT default to be say #2 and the FWD default to be say #3.

One of the benefits of doing the full campaign in two parts is that DCS is constantly changing the ME and as a result, these changes tend to break campaigns. By waiting till you do 20 missions, I am sure that the early missions may have problems as a result of changes. By getting the early missions out the door, at least they will work for a time.

I am not sure that Len62 answered my question. In trackir, I can set joystick button 3 to center trackir and joystick button 4 to pause it without assigning either commands to a keyboard key command. Can opentrack do the same?

Does opentrack recognize joystick buttons -without key assignments- like Trackir does? I currently use Trackir but am getting tried of some issues that I have with it and I am thinking of going with the delanclip/Ps3 opentrack package.

CH sent me a replacement for the broken potentiometer and with the help of forum members, I replaced the two potentiometers and all seems to be fine.

reparing the rudder pelals with new potentiometers CH was nice enough to send me two new potentiometers but when they arrived, one set of prongs were broken off. I have requested another replacement. Will keep you posted.

So far it seems to work fine with CZ's F18 profile.

I am using Loz's A10 Helios profile with the changes made by Capt Z. All of the extra panel tabs work fine EXCEPT for the radio tab. When I press it nothing happens. Before I have to redo the profile, am I missing something? update: user error.

On the Su-25T profile, how would I go about inserting the six button autopilot panel? I don't need it to be clickable, just to display what has been imputed.

Myst If you are amenable, please attach your modified profile. It looks interesting and I would like to try it out.

CZ Everything is still working fine with your F18 profile, but I do have 2 possible errors: First, the pitot tube does not stay up in the profile, but does so in the game cockpit. Second, the altimeter warning dial on the left front does not work in the profile, but does so in the game cockpit. I have been flying the F18 from day one and so far, these are the only 2 items that I have noted. Bless you.

Hollywood/Greyman I am still confused. I never knew about the button at the bottom but I still do not understand what to do next. After hitting reload and finish buttons in the Keyword Editor, a window pops up concerning the updated keyword database. The 3rd paragraph states to double click the “AI Comms” command (category keywords collection) and clear all existing keywords in the “when I say” field and then apply paste to place the new keyword set and press apply when done. I am a little confused on these instructions. Under the Heading Description, there are numerous AI Comms. Do you go thru each one or what?
