  1. That's a good idea, thanks. I'm gonna give it a try - and hopefully I won't forget to deactivate my other mods before that. I'll let you know if it worked.
  2. Hello Fellas, before I did the update from 1.5.8 to 2.5, I forgot to deactivate the desert skins from Starway's desert mod in JSGME. Now, after the update, many of the standard infantry and vehicle skins are the yellow desert skins - which doesn't look too good in the caucasus map. Is there a way to bring back the old, green standard textures without having to roll back that giant update to version 2.5? JSGME must have those skins saved somewhere, but I can't find them.
  3. Since I still use DCS 1.5 mostly to fly with Starways/Takos textures over 'nam or the desert: I don't suppose they will work with DCS 2.5, has anyone tried that yet? I really hope there will be an update for those wonderful mods. The new terrains look incredible, and those wonderful smooth mountains could use some palm trees... ;)
  4. It's working. I only forgot to set the date to autumn.
  5. Did you find a solution? I don't think its a double bound axis, since - at least in my case - the problem occurs only at higher speeds, depending on my altitude.
  6. I found this here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2967707&postcount=148 ...I could downloda it, but I couldnt get the textures to work. But maybe I should have set the season to fall (october in mission editor)... I dont know. But anyway, the download works.
  7. I really enjoy the Green Thunder mod that I use together with Takos Vietnam Experience. But after the latest update, some of the infantry textures no longer work - the standard US soldier now has a modern camo type uniform, while the african-american "winter" GI still looks like he should. I re-installed both Green Thunder and Tako's mod, but it didnt change anything. Did I somehow screw something up or did you guys experience that as well?
  8. Hi Gpruitt54, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I posted about that here - it seems I black out when reaching a certain airspeed. At least that was the case until the last update. After that, I didn't notice that behavior anymore. I could recover from that state by using the trim button and losing speed. By "shuttering", I suppose, you mean the tiger is shaking like crazy? At least in my case it did. Which exact version of DCS do you use? https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=188278
  9. Cool thing, I've gotta try it as soon as I get home :) Finally I can fly some Huey-Slick missions again.
  10. I did the rollback to the previous version. I didnt have that much time to test it out yet - but the gunners in my huey did indeed shoot sometimes. Not always when I wanted them to, but it seems the rollback helped at least a bit.
  11. ...not to forget the huey that's being shot down while getting some BEER... ;)
  12. I'm gonna give it a try. I just read "Chickenhawk" by Robert Mason and want to make slick flying great again ;)
  13. Do you guys know if that rollback to the earlier version 1.5.6 would bring my gunners back? https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=190554
  14. Yeah, I'm beginning to change my tactics. After firing some rockets, I turn aside about half a mile from the targets and switch to the door gunners. But still I miss them watching my sides while I'm flying...
  15. Since the last update (at least I think so) my door gunners didn't fire at ANYTHING - although when I flew yesterday, sometimes they opened fire. It seems that there has been an improvement - are your gunners still on strike?
  16. Thanks. Glad to hear that I'm not the only one with gunners on strike. They're quite important for my favourite missions...
  17. Hello everyone, I have a problem flying the UH-1. I got a new computer and therefore had to re-install DCS world 1.5. Now, I have a problem that never occurred to me before: The door gunners in my huey do not engage at all. I set up a sp mission where the player is to attack enemy infantry, APCs, trucks and rocket artillery - the door gunners don't even aim. It NEVER happened to me before. And yes, they're in the helicopter and their roe are set to fire at will. The co-pilot doesn't use the miniguns when told to, either. Right now, I'm not on my computer. But I suppose theres a newer version of DCS world installed on my new pc - I didnt find anything here about that bug being a part of the most recent update. Anyone knows how I could get my trusted door gunners back?
  18. Yesterday, after all your hints and questions, I took a ride in the Tiger once again. Seems I misread sth - I fly a lot faster when this happens, turns out its not 480 kias, but more than 600. So this might be the reason - flying too low and too fast?
  19. Thanks for the responses. I fly level, just accelerating. I'm running DCS 1.5 and the problem appears in different altitudes. Also in the training missions. I dont know about those dampers, I'll check that one out.
  20. Hello guys, I'm more of a (virtual) huey pilot, but I wanted to try out a jet. So I got the F-5E. I love it, but I stumbled upon a bug (or a mistake I made? dunno) which makes the Tiger unflyable for me. As soon as I hit about 480 knots, my cockpit view turns black. I can switch to the external view and see that the jet is shaking. The plane doesnt react to anything i do with the joystick, the rudder or the throttle. There's one thing I can do: if I trim the plane upwards to lift the nose, the Tiger loses speed. If my airspeed is below 480 kias, everything's back to normal. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? As I said, I'm more the helo type, but I can fly the F-15 and the A-10 from FC3 without that happening. Best regards from Germany! Phil
  21. I noticed that the door guns of the AI Huey do raise, like if the gunners were activated. But the doors won't open.
