After the last update, I noticed that the Mission Editor sometimes resets the liveries that are used in a mission. I like to recreate carrier decks with the correct squadrons of certain air wings. So there are quite a few skins in my own missions. But quite often, the mission editor resets some of the liveries to the default one - like the diamondbacks on the F-14 and VFA-37 on the hornets. I think that bug might be connected to the bug that changes the players aircraft to AI - at least for me this happens together.

The plane captain wants to have a word with you. You better run ;)

For what should I wait? I'm the flight lead and that thing happens right at mission start. Until now, two Tomcats on the catapults 1 and 2 were possible. It might be that the AI Tomcat on Cat 2 is being placed some feet too far forward, for some reason. I'm not sure though.

Yesterday, something strange happened to me - in a mission that had been working for months: I have two F-14s set up at catapults 1 and 2. But at mission start, the AI wingman calls out "I'm hit" - the wings of our Tomcats were touching. I know there are problems with catapult lanches at the moment, but this part is new to me. Anyone else having the same problem?

I have bound the AP Engage switch to the paddle switch of my warthog. That way, I can quickly trim the bird out, maintain a certain heading when working on the consoles and stuff like that.

Carrier Deck Crew- static objects

Having a blast trying this one out. Besten Dank, Tomcatz! -
I'm setting up something similar - I have a randomized group spawn at the beginning of the mission (random flag value that triggers each group). Let's say one is a russian plane that won't shoot at the player, and the other one is a north korean plane that will attack. I set the russian group to weapons hold and let them de-acticate their radar via advannced waypoints. The North Korean group is set to weapons free, but via advanced waypoint menu, you can let them use their radar only for the attack - at least with a group of MiG-21s, this worked quite well. For fighters with better long range capability, I guess the way described by feefifofum might be even better. I'm gonna test that one. Especially because you could also tell the bogey to turn around as soon as it has been intercepted.

Really nice skins y'all got in the works - can't wait to try them out. @Reflected: What era is that Bounty Hunters livery from? Late 80s, I suppose? Lookin' great :) -
That one looks amazing!

Looking really good, Sadjad! One thing I'm wishing for - that might be relatively easy to make - is some VF-103 and VF-74 birds from the Desert Storm era. The stock skins are really nice - but it's ony one bort number. The CAG birds from that time were looking almost the same as the line birds, afaik. Those squadrons flew A+ models (later re-designated F-14B) back then - so with our Tomcat model in mind, the Sluggers and the Be-Devilers are quite interesting. -
In one episode of the fighter Pilot podcast, they talk about that one with a Supervisor who participated in filming Top Gun. According to him, they had already filmed the dogfighting scenes above the desert - and then those where dead Goose is in the water. He was telling the director that this didnt make any sense - and so they added the line "Maverick is heading out to the sea". :D

Militariy Aircraft Mod

Want. That. SLUFF. Even as an AI. -
I recently fiddled around with the Warthog Throttle Detent, to make it a push-through. Together with the curves posted above by MTF DarkEagle, it works like a charm,
-
I use the CMS switch on my warthog for the DLC. I think it's quite good. Not only because it's easy to reach, but also I read somewhere that F-14 pilots really slammed the DLC back and forth instead of fine-fiddling with that wheel.
-
Wish you all the best! At the moment, even a static seahawk would add much to our carrier decks, imho :)
-
One thing I'd also love to see is an SH-3 AI model - great for old school carrier ops.
-
That issue really was around for a long time now. Sad to see it still wasn't fixed.
-
Even though those USAF Nellis Vipers were a bad example - Top Gun Vipers would be great.

Looking so great, can't wait to try it out. I already imagine some nice escort missions for the Orion and the COD plane... -

Wow, so great - thanks for fixing that lighing issue that quickly and again for your outstanding work. I'm so looking forward to the Jolly Rogers - with all those fictional liveries out there, it's great to see that someone provides actual B model skins. -

The swordsmen liveries are simply outstanding - thank you so much for those pieces of art. However I noticed some strange patterns in the Rio pit when turning on the instrument and side Panel lightings. I dont know if it is a bug that was introduced with one of the recent updates or if it has to do with your (wonderful ;) ) custom Cockpit liveries. -
Second that. It's clearly visible and kinda spoils the look of that beauty.

Looking good, Oban! Did you already upload it? As soon as the Viper has a damage model, it's gonna be a great adversary :D

[REPORTED] Left wheelbrake not functioning,
Tomcatter87 replied to Topgun505's topic in Bugs and Problems
Similar problem here: I'm unable to bind the right wheelbrake to my right MFG Crosswind pedal. On all other aircrafts, it's working. -
I looked around the net and -as usual - found sth on anft.net. Interesting is that the hi vis bird has bort number 207 - so it's not the CAGs plane.
