  1. Will it be possible to share the DTC between other players on a multi player mission, within a flight as min but also potentially between any other player, who could then tweak it for themself before loading it into the aircraft ?
  2. I agree with Mario this would be excellent especially for MP if all team members could cooperate in the mission brief and data cartage setup. But it would need to be for all missions not just super carrier based ones. We live in hope. ED keep up the good work.
  3. I would like to be able to filter the resources in a warehouse by a specific aircraft. This would help those of us that can't remember the exact name of the ammo for a specific aircraft's cannon for example, or the model of the external fuel tank. Some generic resources like fuel would clearly not need this, but weapons and ammo would be a big help for me.
  4. Out of interest I just tried out @draconus's suggestion and it seemed to work. I placed a Infantry unit on the map and told my Helo to follow it with 0 offset and interval and a height of 50 feet. It took a few seconds to setal but then it was hovering with a little bit of a up and down motion in one place. I then set the Infantry unit to Late activation so that you can't see it and the Helo still hovers over it. I guess you would need to add a few triggers to stop the hove when you have finished fast roping but that should be easy enough. You could even use the unit that your following as the one the spawns in when the fast rope is done.

With the increased focus on transport missions would it be possible to add events for when groups embark and disembark transports, providing the transport unit and the group that has embarked or disembarked? This would be useful for the development of dynamic scripts that could update group routes/tasks when dropped off at some point without having to provide waypoints in advance. I know something similar to this can be done with custom radio message via the F10 menu, but it would be better if you could still use the default troop menu to embark and disembark the group and then have an event fire allowing a script to decide what the group should do at that point. Also a function to tell you which groups are embarked on a transport would be useful. I have tried to find a way to establish if a group is being transported but cant find anything.
  6. There has been a lot of focus on VR in the comments, I just wanted to check that it would be and option for all head tracking i.e Track IR as well. Thanks for all the good work.
  7. Having Pilots visible to all players after eject would be great especially for Helicopter rescues and if you have to do an emergency landing being able to get out and relocate to be rescued. I also support the ideas of being able to get in and out of the Plane/Helicopter at the start and end of the mission as long as it ties in to some form of briefing/debriefing options (even if it just a teleport animation like the old Arma 2 model). Being able to have an in game multi player briefing with interactive maps etc would be really helpful. Is this the idea for the Briefing room when it comes in the super carrier model? I could also see this as part of the process for the input of data in to the data cartridges as a collaborative in game thing.
  8. Thanks flmike911, your reply makes sense and matches up with everything I read on the web. I wonder why ED have set it up to report back a capacity of 108. Its not a big issue just glad to know I was not going mad.
  9. When I use the script function unit:getDescentCapacity() on a CH47Fb11 it returns a value of 108. This seems a bit on the high side, My research found Boeing saying 44 seated, the RAF web site says 55, the most I could find was in an forum about Vietnam where they said up to 70 troops and 80 civilians. The Early access guide says 32. I have tested this function with other troop carrying Helios and it seem to report much more sensible numbers. A quick calculation of weight is 90kg x 108 = 9720kg, which it could lift, but could you physically fit this number of troops in ? Is this 108 right ?
  10. Personal I would be happy to just be able to pause and save the state of a SP mission. This would be great for me as due to my personal situation (kids etc...) it is hard to get time to play out some of the more interesting and longer missions, I like to take my time with planning etc... and with this I would like to be able to play them in a number of play sessions. I hope this is what's coming soon. I agree though it should be a separate file for the save in a saves folder linked back to the mission file.
  11. I am also seeing playback issues even with the older DCS modules. I had a dog fight with a Su-27, I am in an F/A18-C, and in the real flight he clips me with his gun and I then go on to kill him with a Aim-9x. When I watched the playback immediately after it showed all this as I remembered it (great I thought). A couple of days later when I came to make a video from the track the Su-27 kills me every time with its guns. It seems odd that the even the reply changes over time, I can only assume that there are some random elements in the simulation that are not stored in the track file and so generate a different out come when you replay, maybe after restarting DCS. I can't wait until they fix this, hopefully with the proposed changes coming to support then Dynamic missions, saves and playback.
  12. We have the same problem. On MP server with two humans, if the PLT uses the datalink first then the CPG can't use it and if the CPG uses it first the PLT can't use it. This may be a feature but there seems to be no way to switch between PLT and CPG without restarting which is very limiting.
