The 5070Ti is great value with the Q3. Been super impressed with it. I would recommend spending the money for the Ti and the extra vram.

With my 3080 I got better performance in virtual desktop. With the new computer, it is far more stable and better fps through the link cable. I got a link cable with a usb-c power port so it delivers full power to the headset. I’ve now got a pretty stable 72fps in all situations through link. I will say, when I could get VD to run through Ethernet, it was better than link, but it just won’t reliably stay connected. Sometimes it does, sometimes it randomly drops connection.

I went from a 10600k to the 9800X3D. Could not be happier. First non intel build since 2008ish.

I have an 850w in the computer and a dedicated 1000w running the pit and supplying the 5v for the hubs.

I’ve got 25 arduinos, plus stick, throttle and pedals. Powered usb hubs is my answer. I’ve got 5 7-port and 2 4-port powered hubs. Single usb cable to the computer. Also have a 4 port hdmi-to-usb in there for the 4 display screens.

I’m using a NH-D15 and haven’t seen it much over 65°C for DCS. I’d reapply thermal paste and make sure the fan is mounted properly.

Curious as to your source on this? Carrier Control Area (CCA) is more like 50 miles. The below document is worth a read

I just went from a 10600k/64GB to the 9800X3D, 64GB and my old 3080. Very happy with the performance bump. Worth it for me. 5090 will be next.

I've had this problem repeatedly, along with a really long load time (3+ mins). When i kill the task and restart DCS, it loads in <30 seconds and loads the headset correctly. Seems to be an initial load issue/compatibility issue. Nothing odd shows in the log. G2, OpenXR (updated), 10600k/3080/64Gb ram.

You can code in ILS/ICLS to any runway in DCS by editing the beacons.lua in each terrain. A bit time consuming and it's only a user side mod, not server side if you want it to be there for everyone. Not sure if it breaks IC or not. I've done it for 6 of the maps.
