Hi guys, Hoping for some advice from community. I'm looking to get a new monitor in the near future, and can't really decide between configuration. I am debating between getting a 2560x1080 ultrawide or a 2560x1440 wide..1440 utrawide is out of my budget and probably out my specs as well. I currently have rtx 3060 ti oc, and i7 4770 with 32 ram. CPU will be next on the list of upgrades. Either monitor will be g sync compatible as well. What do you guys think? P.S. It will be used primarly for dcs,x-plane and occasional editing/browsing.

It's on the Caucasus. I wish it was stable, sort of either always working or never. But I find that it's quite random. I just tested it again in a free flight instant action. I could pick up kutaisi and senaki tacans but when I tried batumi and vaziani it just kept spinning 360 and that's it...out of range?..I doubt it.

Hi all, is it just me or is tacan buggy and broken? Whenever I want to use it it's either not doing anything on hsi, or spins the heading pointer all around, yet I could hear the signal that he picked it up. And then sometimes it's either cuts off halfway and comes back alive later or doesn't do anything at all, etc. Seems like it lives a separate life. I don't think also that I'm doing it wrong... 2022 and apparently still not fixed. Just did the same thing, had to switch to flat shadows just because of this.

Yeah, it's very strange. Because when the knob is set to D2 or D1, I cannot manually input anything. I click and rotate and nothing changes. The only way I can alter anything is when the knob is in STBY position and that corresponds to the D1 only.

I was wondering if anyone has the same issue with setting waypoints manually in the skyhawk? It seems I can't input anything for D2, just D1, and I can adjust it if the knob is set to STBY. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Yeah, I can't figure it out, D2 just shows my present position and I can't edit it in anyway..

I did, and it just highlighted the price, I tried switching it to desktop mode even, open in different app, and still nothing. It was ok yesterday with 80ti and 90, they had a buy button..but they are out of my budget anyway..so potentially I wasn't the only one with this issue today.

Yes, it is scan.co.uk. I opened the link within a couple of minutes and it just showed the price tag without the green button. Maybe it's because it was on the phone, instead of a desktop...don't know really, annoying tho. I was after a 3060ti or 3070. But 3070 didn't even drop.

Cheers man, yeah, I've got that sky hawk now and I think it looks like a fun plane to learn and fly. I'll see how I get on with it, and eventually will dive into a multi role and probably will focus on just one air frame. However I don't know yet, which modern jet to focus on. As I don't lean to a particular aircraft just yet..It might be typhoon, as I mentioned earlier in thread...But it may be still years to wait for it..:/

It worked, bro you're the best! Yeah, the problem is that I haven't yet decided with which module I want to stick. So I'll have a go with a few community mods, will give me some sort of idea. I am really interested in typhoon, but who knows when it's released...

Does anyone know how to change the cockpit photo in it? I replace the one from textures folder with exactly the same options, and file extension. But when I log into game it shows up as a missing texture...

So I had a look at both mods. And even tho t45 is a more modern frame I was just blown away by the level of detail and available systems along with weapons, available for skyhawk. I can't believe still it's a free mod. Amazing work by the team behind it. And on top of that it seems better optimized, as I lost about 10 frames in t45 and none in the skyhawk, when loaded in the same scenarios.

Yeah, I know about the free fly event. ok, thanks for all the input. I'll be busy for a while now :))
