  1. Hi guys, would that work to change game language to russian?
  2. You should check out Chuck's guide on mustang. I'm learning it myself at the moment and it helped me quite a lot. But still practice is everything)). https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=135765
  3. That's crazy man! Exactly, what are you supposed to get then?... Maybe it's just the sim as it is, and there's no ideal way around it.. I'm curious to check some videos of the devs flying the sim. Wags has some I think. I wonder what shimmering is on his screen..
  4. OK, I thought so.. Its a bit of a shame.. It does take a lot from immersion and even vfr becomes more tricky. Thanks for your input anyway. I guess it's time to start saving up for a proper desktop. :)
  5. I'll give it a go. My biggest issue is anti aliasing I think. Having msaa off and only fxaa in ncp, it's ok-ish in cockpit and close by, but all the distant objects like buildings, airfields etc. Have quite a lot of shimmering. It's very annoying, any ideas how to counter that without massive fps hit? Msaa kills me... So I can't really use it..
  6. I've found a couple of good discussions about settings and anti aliasing, I'll do some experimenting. Also, I want to get a decent monitor in the future. Any recommendations for it? Thanks
  7. I've turned off msaa and used fxaa in cp. Msaa is killing my laptop completely. Are you sure nothing needs to be adjusted in cp? What about vsync?
  8. Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone could help me with setting up the sim and nvidia control panel settings. I struggle to find a best solution and settings. My system is a laptop with i7-6700hq, gtx 970m 3gb, 16gb ram and its installed on ssd and 1920x1080 screen. Maybe someone has similar specs and can advice me something? Thanks
  9. Hey guys. Is Nevada map so accurate that you could actually use skyvector charts within the game?
  10. Hey kolga, Im like that now. Or I was probably, I start to take it more serious now. Before also a lot messing around, no procedures. But its not getting me anywhere. I will put more effort as of now, and also try to learn the right way. ) Guys, I do try to use brakes if I manage to land in one piece, but it needs practise for sure
  11. Just simming at the moment. Thanks anyway, hopefully will get better understanding of flight rules with that book.
  12. Thanks for the link ouPhrontis, I will get that one. So much good reviews on it, cant go wrong with that. Will be a good read for sure. Do you know if there are any squads that are new simmers friendly , training etc?
  13. Thanks for all the info guys. Once again I see how helpful and good dcs community is. ) I also found this book FAA Airplane Flying Handbook. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1510712836/ref=dp_ob_neva_mobile Probably at least some chapters would be nice to read. Traffic patterns, landings. What do you guys think?
  14. I think I really need to work out my routines to how to approch landing in general, and get some theory reads also. Right now all my landings are 50/50 chance of success )) Maybe even join some squad in the future, for more fun and productive flying. I suppose general rules of flight remain the same for most aircraft, just number and some procedures vary from one to another?
  15. Hey kolga, thanks for the input. Ill take a look at the tracks. So you saying I should leave axis as default? I do like to have some deadzone, otherwise the stick is too sensitive..
  16. Cheers guys. Maybe you can suggest also axis settings ? I have a logitech 3d pro joystick.
  17. Thanks for all the input guys, appreciate it.
  18. Hi guys, Learning to fly Mustang and most critical phases for me are take off and landing. Very hard to keep it steady. I can take off( bit wobly, tho) but when it comes to landing Im struggling to keep it steady on approach and to also im too high or low, most of the time. Do you trim for landing, or reset trimmers? Any advice on visual approach also will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  19. I agree with Delareon. Snap views work the best for me also.
  20. Cheers, Its a begining of a long journey I think :)
  21. I am actually russian myself, so metric/eastern systems woudnt be much of a problem for me :). But since I am so new to this world I keep my mind open for anything and Im in open search. I guess beginings are always the most difficult. sdflyer thanks for the link on a book, Ill read it, I like reading anyways. I also got an old copy of fsx, so ill go over rod machados flight school in that in parallel of getting used to dcs. I think would be the best start for me, baby steps :) Its nice to hear opinions from a real world pilots also. I want to get a ppl one day, but its kind of a dream until better finance times :) SharkBaztard if ,or when I get myself a10c I will look you up for some training/coop flying for sure. I will study tf-51 for now, until I make up my mind about which module to get . Anyway Im not in the rush, aspecially with shooting, I need to sort out my flying first :) David OC thank you for the links USMC_Trev thank you for advice
  22. Im definetly not interested in a game mode, so thats not a problem. however a10 does intemidate a bit, I was actually leaning toward l39 to be honest. I have a logitech extreme 3d pro flight stick,it as a rudder axis, and also just ordered twcs throttle. SharkBaztard ill keep your offer in mind definetly :) By the way, David OC, thanks for a great link to vatsim, lots of info there
  23. I would really like to use his help, but like I said at the moment its just to difficult for me to schedule any decent online. I would hate to let people down, by not being able to show up on time. But a plan for the future, for sure.
  24. I can tell a difference by fps. Until I do alt enter my fps is unstable, could jump between 20 frames. After I hit the alt enter fps stays still and goes higher also
  25. Wow, thanks for all the input guys, I'm really happy to see such active and friendly community. I will consider all you have brought to my knowledge. I actually own a su27. I will have a closer look on what complete module to have a10c or l39, both are very tempting. Thanks for the offer sharkbaztard, but I would be a terrible wingman right now. Too much going on in real life, so I can't plan any stable online. I will learn at my own pace. Cheers!
