I have yes, it's still sticking. Will try nyogel first probably. Cheers

Thanks for the link!

Hi guys, apologies if I'm repeating a topic. But I've noticed my throttle is really sticky when it comes to small adjustments. I've looked online and found out that lubricating will solve the issue. The best one suggested as far as I see is Nyogel 767a. But I'm not sure if I can get it in UK. Or can I? Perhaps something similar will do the job? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm getting confused now. :) is it really simulated in such detail?
-
Thanks for advice. Should I keep radiator controls auto or open when in action? I mean when ground attacking or dog fighting.

I keep hearing about f5 as a good first full fidelity jet. I was also suggested it by some guys. What's so good about it for beginners over any other modules?
-
Yeah, cheers for the input. I was thinking about f5 myself. to be honest i find tons of weapon options a bit overwhelming. i much rather study the flying part at the moment and keep my weapons more simple. later on when im comfortable with units, aaa, missions etc. I could dive into more complicated systems.
-
Yeah, to be honest manuals for some modules scare me. Just the amount of reading. Do you think its worth to try flaming cliffs style first? Or go straight with full fidelity? And which module you think would be best for beginner?
-
yeah I did notice that if outside temps are around 20C it does get warm a lot quicker and keeps me more paranoid. However in a colder environment I don't have to keep checking every 2 min. I never expected it would be so much to manage in it :) But hopefully its a good practise before i try out jets

Thanks for all the input guys, appreciate it. In regards to radiator contols, should i have them open all the time, except cruise? I saw a video of spudknocker and noticed he had them open as well during ground attack
-
could be, im not entirely sure. ill have to fly a bit more and see what happens. i'll also pay more attention to mp and rpm. but overall i've seen quite a few posts about mustangs engine failures
-
40 and 60 was there. Took off on max RPM but didn't check mp, it was full throttle. During cruise was no indications, all temps were in green(I think). Both times engine froze and prop wasn't spinning. Debrief said engine overrevved...
-
Controls on auto and temps all in green, or at least below the red zone. I haven't tried to dilute tbh. My personal suspicion is that I overlooked RPM and mp at some point.. In the debrief it sait engine overrevved. What does it mean?
-
Hi guys, can anyone advice me on proper engine management? For 2 days in a row when I flew a default mission I would kill the engine. I did warm it prior departure and flew on cruise according to limitations. Around 27 rpm and about 45-46 mp. After about 20 min engine just dies, in the log it says engine overrevved. Is it a module bug or am I doing it wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Update: I noticed the mission weather is only +4 C, and during flight, carb. temperature dropped below green mark. Is it related? Should I warm engine more on ground before take off under certain weather conditions?
-
I have to agree on engine failures. Im only starting in dcs, adn been learning p51. But it feels like a bit of love/hate relations at the moment. Its lovely to fly and shoot but its so unreliable. 2 days in a row in the same mission my engine suddenly dies, and i was just cruising, and been extremely gentle on it as well. All green and all by the book. But it just fails, for no apparent reasons. Go figure.

Could be..By the way, which gpu/cpu would be good for more then 1080 res? I'm thinking of upgrading in the future and start to look around for components.. -

I know, man. I wonder what kind of rigs ED have themselves. Matt Wagners videos look absolutely amazing, I can only dream about those kind of visuals.. -

I think MFAA you can only toggle On or OFF, in control panel .. -

No problem, hope it helps. Btw having it on doesn't affect frames but does a decent job at smoothing things out:thumbup: -

Hey OttoPus. I just checked if mfaa has any effect, and I have to say it does, at least on my system. If i have it ON the picture is quite a lot better and smoother. -

Thanks overalien for the tip. I spent whole evening last night messing around with it. You're right, it looks like best performance-quality ratio. I have to sacrifice some fps but it looks a lot better then just fxaa. I found out that if I choose to enhance application setting it also makes a slight improvement, but it seems that there is literally no difference between x2 and x8, so i kept it at x2. Also guys, do I understand it correctly that when you use msaa and mfaa( in control panel) the fxaa should be off? they shouldn't be switched on both at the same time? -
Hi guys, Not sure if I'm posting in the right section, but any way. I can't work my head around fixing aa. The in game msaa completely kills my frames, from having it around 80, for example, and msaa off I loose about 20 with x2 and around 40 with x4. I can't live with that. Having it completely off isn't an option as well as it's just to jagged. I tried tweaks with nvidia control panel, and only enabling fxaa seems to work. It helps a bit, but cockpit appears a bit washed out and I can still see the jagged lines and shimmering. If I try to overwrite application settings it does not change anything. Looks like ncp antialiasing not changing anything. Any tips and advice? I'm out of ideas... Thanks
-
Borderline, I agree with what everyone said about nvidia fxaa. I have it enabled in control panel and msaa and ssaa in game disabled. It helps a lot with aa(not ideal of course) but there is no really fps hit. As I have a slower system this is a solution for me.

Thanks, will try tonight
