  3. I use the technicolor-3 color grading (in DCS settings). I think that looks a bit nicer in my HP V2 headset, give it a try.
  4. I do think/hope they will update the villages. I tried it in the A-10 so did not see much of the smaller villages
  5. Well, I tried it yesterday, and it actually looks and feels like Afghanistan. I think they did a great job. I have been to Afghanistan 4 times flying Dutch Chinooks and flying in VR instantly made me check that I drink enough water

  8. Some of you really need to grow up... <profanity> happens, deal with it, it's not like they do it on purpose...
  9. I flew Dutch Chinooks out of KAF and for some special operations out of Tarin Kowt (Camp Holland) and one time out of Bastion. At KAF in 2008 our 3 Chinooks were parked on the big helo ramp, at the NE corner of the ramp, near the center of KAF. Right behind us were the CSAR USAF UH-60's and next to us the British helicopters, I believe only Chinooks, and sometimes an Apache or Lynx. Our F-16's were parked at the other side of the field and our Apaches flew out of Tarin Kowt. I was at KAF in the autumn of '05, from sept '07 till march '08 and during the summers of '09 and '10. I will go and look up some pictures, I might be able to dig up some more.
  10. I figured it out, thanks! I tried some shooting, seems excellent. Right now I'm enjoying myself in the Blackhawk getting in and out of murky weather, VR really mkaes you search for those wires in the mountains
  11. I might be getting a bit older so this whole Discord thing is new to me, but I have the UH-60L installed and working, but how can I download the Armed Black Hawk mod? I can only load a blurry screen with a message there are no messages on Discord. Jan
  12. Not for sale anymore
  13. Also just over the border near Spin Boldak, I've heard of ops going there..
  14. My flying and thus infolvement with Dutch Chinook airforce operations ended in mid 2011 so my knowledge might be outdated. But miniguns being useless without A/C power was the consensus on our squadron back then. But we went looking for new doorguns in '05 so only a few years after Robert's Ridge.
  15. The smaller M60 (and FN Mag, etc.) are most used on the ramp as they allow for easier removal when on a FOB or LZ when doing Internal Loads. For vehicles it's obvious, but also with troops a big gun is more of an obstacle that might increase the time on the ground. The doorguns are, depending on the mission, bigger guns. The Brits used miniguns, the Dutch use .50. Miniguns fire faster, but have lower penetration value, and they work of the A/C Generator, so in case of a crash, your first line of defence is useless.
