  1. @Badger633 BIGNEWY Responded and he said the helicopters could be equipped with IR deflectors, thus causing the problem. Soo perhaps you could check the mission you created? Are the helicopters equipped with IR deflectors? maybe the update changes the default settings for helicopters in the mission editor? maybe helicopters are equipped with IR deflectors automatically after the update? And I just tried the AIM 9x Test mission BIGNEWY provided (I attached it on this post). seems working fine with the 9X's lock and tone. cage and uncaged. So probably the IR deflectors are the cause of the problem in the mission? The helicopters in the mission should not be equipped with IR deflectors, story wise right? TestAim9xtones.miz

  3. Hi @BIGNEWY Thanks for responding. Yeah I already asked the Campaign Creator Badger633 on his campaign thread and he said: "Doesn’t look right. Can you submit it as a bug to ED please. The more that raise it the quicker they will fix it. As I said it’s nothing the campaign scripting can control. To be honest working on the latest campaign have noticed in some A2A engagement an increased difficulty getting a 9x lock. " I think they are just normal helicopters without any IR deflectors.
  4. The thing is it's obviously an issue/bug thus it should already be reported instead of just being investigated. I am not the only one with the same issue/bug. If it's not reported to the programmers than how can it get fixed as it's still on the Testers side. Game Testers should report the issue/bug to the Programmers to get it fixed.
  5. Still nothing, zero response from ED on the matter after almost 3 months and thus I just opened a ticket on the matter. let's see if there will be a response. I am one of their customers they must at least say something on the matter instead of just staying "silent" it's like my report is being "ignored".

Much of this has been focused on expanding the F/A-18C’s high Angle of Attack (AoA) capabilities by adjusting the stabilizer scheduling. These changes will allow maneuvering up to 50 to 55 AoA, compared to mid-30s earlier. This expanded AoA capability will better allow players to take advantage of the F/A-18Cs outstanding low-speed, high-AoA maneuver capability. Note that this expanded AoA capability can result in a dramatic loss of airspeed, if not careful. Another important improvement is the handling characteristics in Powered Approach (PA) mode when landing. During landing, you will find achieving and maintaining on-speed AoA easier. This is tied to the flight control system changes. Nose pitch effects have also been added when the speedbrake is extended and retracted to match the real F/A-18C. Overall aerodynamic damping has also been improved to better match F/A-18C handling characteristics.
  8. Merry Christmas BTW Badger633 I haven't downloaded the OB 2.9.2.49629 update myself. Want to know first if it's fixed or not with the update before downloading to prevent my SSD from writing needlessly saving its TBW. Because I am also playing Baldur's Gate III and Baldur's Gate III is rather "crazy" with its reeeally large sized frequent game updates. My poor SSD lol Niiiice!   9. Have you tried/tested or are you going to test using the 9x on helicopters after Open Beta 2.9.2.49629 update @Badger633 ? Posted a question on the bug investigation progress directed to ED Team @BIGNEWY on the ED Hornet Bug report board but got no response. I thought the ED Team would have gotten something on it after almost a month of investigation but alas no response other than the status of it that's currently being investigated.

  13. Is it that hard to lock a helicopter with 9x in real life though? So is your next campaign another F/A -18c Campaign? I already bought Persian Lion II but haven't played it yet.

  17. Cannot seem to lock on to the Helicopter with my Aim 9x, cage is open, Master Arm on, AA mode, got a helicopter inside my Aim9 circle but no tone. Locking helicopters using Radar also takes a long time with boresight mode, sometimes radar cannot lock on the helicopter at all in boresight mode too.
  18. Did a Case 1 landing in the Hornet just now. It looks like trimming the hornet to high E-Bracket instead of the Middle helps. I managed to get an _OK_ 3 Wires. Recorded it:

  20. I lost track of wave after taking out the F-4s, Could you please tell me his Tacan Frequency, so I can track his position more easily to fly on his wing ? He was not showing on my SA page too despite DL being on. @badger633 Excellent Campaign btw, going to get the second one soon... Thanks

  22. Alright I tried it again and no problems now. Probably I just encountered a weird DCS SAM AI bug thing before. anyhow on to the next mission!
  23. But I did not fly close to the targets I was at maximum possible range for the JSOWs to be In-Range at 28000 Feet, Launched the JSOWS at the targets and turned. The SAMs did not launch at me or lock me during the run and after I turned. But they shot down all the JSOWs. Should I go higher than 30000 feet?
