I have found a "solution" to my problem, in case anyone is interested. I have forzed all aircrafts to use the parking spots I wanted them to use by blocking those spots that were causing taxi collisions with static objects that are destroyed on mission start. Then I just have to properly use the "uncontrollable", take off from parking hot or take off from ramp options to control the order in which they taxi. The four static objets are named REMOVE*, and I set a trigger ON MISSION START with four do script actions StaticObject.getByName('REMOVE1'):destroy() And the key of all this is that you can only block those spots you do not want to use, but you are still unable to actually select which parking spot you want each aircraft to use. But, once all the aircrafts are parked on "valid spots", I have just changed all their names, loadouts, flight plans, etc. PD: It has been a couple of days, only to properly launch the flights that will take part on my mission... Now I only have to actually build the mission... :megalol: But at least I'm learning :smartass: 8b.miz

I tried that initially, but for some reason the Hornets launched from cats 3 & 4 were just launched into the water. This only happened when they spawned on the cats (takeoff from runway). When they were taking off from parking hot they taxi and launch without troubles from cats 3 & 4

Thanks sir, the uncontrollable check did the trick to activate each flight in order. But, as you said, the problem of being unable yet to select parking spot on the carrier still remains, so my mission as I planned it won't work. I do need some traffic controllers to solve this taxiing mess on my deck :huh: (As you can see on the image, for some reason, this aircraft's pitot decides is better to go to cat 1 and just ram into other aircraft, although cat 3 is empty and the path to it is clear...)

In this mission (attached) I am trying to launch an attack to Bandar Abbas in waves from the Stennis. The idea is to launch an E2D and S3B first. Second, a CAP flight of 2 Hornets lot 20 set to orbit over the strait. Third a SEAD flight of 2 Hornerts with HARMS that will go to tanker and then to the strait. And finally the player's strike flight that should go to tanker and then to Bandar Abbas to attack something (there are no targets yet on the mission) I have no idea how to set the taxi or launch order to make the flights take off in the order I want them to. By pure chance the CAP and SEAD flights did take off in the intended order when I put them on the mission, but when I added the strike's flight (group name "Player"), it stopped working, as my aircraft is located on the middle on the Stennis, and it blocks the other aircraft's path to taxi, so they won't move until I move (thus breaking the take off order I wanted) :cry: Also, it said that there is no more space to add a wingman to the player's group. But it does allow me to create a new 1-aircraft group set to takeoff from ramp, that has indeed parking space. So, to summarize: 1.- AWACS & tanker on cats 1 & 2 2.- CAP flight takeoff from parking hot 3.- SEAD flight takeoff from parking hot 4.- Player's flight takeoff from ramp I want them to takeoff on that order. I though that this could be achieved by setting the groups as "late activation" and activate them once the previous one had took off... But I would like to see all aircrafts taking off before me, not just spawn in front on me. I'm still learning, and I cannot figure out how to achieve this: In my mission I spawn an AI group when player enters a zone or destroys a ground target. The AI group is tasked to intercept the player while returning to the carrier, but is not meant to reach him if played correctly. It is only meant as a threat. So far, so good. But I would now want to make the AI group to RTB, but only IF player is destroyed OR player is inside a trigger zone near the carrier OR AI group is damaged by the carrier's escort ship. I know how to set each of those conditions, but I do not know how to make the "action". AI group's flightplan has wp 1 where it is supposed to search and attack the player, and wp 2 is landing back home. I would like the AI group to stay on waypoint 1 flying CAP until one of those conditions is met. Only then I want them to switch to wp 2. I know I can set a condition to the switch waypoint command on wp1 to switch to wp 2 when a flag is true. And I can activate that flag whenever the desired conditions are met. But, how I get the AI to not go automatically from wp 1 to 2 when they reach wp 1? I have attached the miz in case anyone wants to check it. Thank you in advance! 5.miz

I retried the mission to try to replicate the situation. First time it worked fine, I destroyed the target. Second time I got the same "error", I'm attaching the track file. I just went full afterburner direct to the target, but I followed the flight plan so the F14s were spawned. They spawn and a couple of minutes later I shoot the AGM. After I shoot, I got the abort message. In the previous try, where I could destroy the target, the F14s did not spawn. jtac.trk

Yes. After the first abort message, it let me report again IP inbound, it told me CONTINUE, but then when I reported IN, it always answered ABORT

Hi! I created a very simple mission (attached) to play a little with the AGM65E on the F18. I have to take off and follow closely an airliner that happens to fly over my target, an EWR, to "cover" my radar signature. A predator is flying over the target acting as JTAC. My problem was that I reported IN to the JTAC, asked for LASER ON, and he answered me that he was lasing, as usual. I approached to about 10k feet at 10nm to the target and fired the maverick. A couple of seconds later, the JTAC radio me "ABORT, ABORT, ABORT". I assume he stopped lasing because the maverick just went down to the water at 3 or 4 nm from the target. Am I doing something wrong while playing? Am I setting something wrong to the predator on ME? I setted a trigger to spawn a 4-flight F14s when I separated from the airliner to shoot. They spawned seconds before the predator told me to abort, but the spawn at 200nm or so (they are meant to not reach me if I fly close to the airliner). Could that be the reason, if the JTAC is somehow "threatened", it aborts? Thanks for any inputs! And sorry if this is a stupid question :huh: 5.miz

Yes, in the Spanish W10 that folder is called "Juegos Guardados", saved games, by default. I don't know exactly how it works, but I think that it's only a pointer that you can change to your custom path. That's what I did when I changed the default "saved games" location from the default C: path to a custom E: path. Now i can access that folder either through C:\Users\alfon\Saved Games, E:\Juegos and E:\saved games. But I was checking right now and if I write any of those 3 paths on the directions bar of windows exlorers, it words. But from cmd, they do not work, only the actual name of the path works "E:/juegos" It is kind of a mess :music_whistling: So, the real path I should use in the app is "E:/juegos/DCS.openbeta/", as you say. I had python installed on another HDD, F:. I do not have DCS stable version installed, but as said in the documentation, it should use DCS.openbeta by default Acording to the log, it is trying to use "DCS" as userdata folder, not the openbeta folder. How to detect when RAT spawned instance enters a zone I'm still a completely noob, just testing stuff to see what can be done. In short, I don't know how to get a UNIT object of the spawned RAT units. I'm trying to create a mission to intercept random aircrafts. The idea is to spawn random aircraft at random periods from a couple or random zones, and direct them to a couple of random "target zones" inside some bigger "no-fly zones".So, when the RAT aircraft enters any no-fly zone I get a message and I'm tasked to intercept it. As I'm learning, I'm creating this step by step. It works fine when I place a Cessna with a couple of waypoints so it enters the no-fly zone. In lua I declare a UNIT object and find the Cessna. Then I use this object to periodically check if it is inside the zone. But I cannot get it working when I change it to a RAT aircraft. I believe my problem is that I cannot find the right instance of the object, so the condition checking if the aircraft has entered the zone is not been applied to the RAT spawn. As you can see, I am testing a RAT flight that departures in a zone already inside the No-fly zone 1, and the destination is "Target zone", over AI Minhab AB. What happens is that the spawned Cessna appears in the zone. When I try to find the object and assign it to "TEST" it does find something (the next if is false, TEST is not null). After 20s the scheduled function triggers and TEST is not null, but even though the Cessna is inside the zone, the TEST:IsInZone(NoFlyZone1) condition is always false. So I believe the problem is that my "TEST" is not referencing the spawned Cessna. Also, since I'm already asking, I am only using the Github docs as a reference... Just with the "search then engage in zone" enroute task worked fine. The A10C fired their mavericks at certaint distance, then orbited the zone dropping bombs until everything was destroyed. Finally they return to base following their route. They did not attack a couple of Ka50 who were orbitting about 5 miles aways of the designated zone.

I'm slowly learning ME and MOOSE (quite slowly :smartass:), just testing what it can be done. I'm now editting a very simple mission where I must grant air superiority while a flight of A10s brings havoc to the enemy position. It is a bunch of ground targets, air defenses, infantry and static objects. So far, I haven't done any scripting. I see I can set CAS to the A10s and then at the proper waypoint set them to Perform task -> Attack unit (or group). But I have to click one by one and create a new action for each unit or group. Also, I assume the order of the actions sets the priority for the targets? They will try to destroy first the targets of the first action, and so on? My main question is, is there any way (in ME or with scripting) to tell the flight "Destroy everything red within this zone"?

Hi. This is probably solved somewhere, but I cannot find it. The "Set gunner seat" command, by default "3" key, only allows me to click on the keyboard column, the throttle and joystick columns are disabled. I'm using a T16000 and TWCS. I have the 1 and 2 keys, set pilot and copilot seats, assigned to T16000's buttons working fine

I'm just messing around with MOOSE, testing and learning. I'm playing with the RAT class to add some "random-ish" unexpected civil traffic. My problem is that as I am force to chose a side for every country, the random A380s are downed either by blue or red air defenses. Is there a way to prevent SAM's from attacking a certaint group id, or aircraft id, or anything like that? EDIT: and I have not tested it yet, but as I'm writting this I'm thinking AI aircrafts set to weapons free ROE would also attack "civil" planes, right?

+1 I have had the opportunity to try other flight sim, civil focused, with VR. Nothing compared with DCS, but the only thing I found way better was that. I was able to click switches easily because I had full control over the mouse, I didn't have to look down (which IRL I wouldn't do) to press stuff, just move the mouse. And I could even look around while the cursor didn't move! Here I have to stare the switch I need to press, and I usually lose some valuable time until the cursos stops moving with my head
